Starch is your best friend. And it’s cheap. Just make sure you starch and iron your fabric before cutting. Also, you are supposed to change direction on how you are sewing each strip. That also prevents it from getting warped. Glue is also your best friend Elmer‘s white school glue then you don’t have to pin. I’ll put glue down and even put my iron on it and that holds the strips in place.
