You forgot mutants. In the comics mutants were the failed versions of the eternals. Mutants are basically eternals but they don't have the immortality that the eternals have.

That was a Celestial. Galactus is giant man looking entity, he's also purple. He has a distinct human face. There are a lot Celestials. Most of the cosmic characters aren't really gone gone. They just deal with them for the moment. No one's killing Galactus they'll just deal with the situation and he'll show up later.
I thought its Galactus looks like different to whatever whatever race of people he is attacking. Like he looks like a human to humans and a Kree to Kree for example.

Sometimes, very rarely, there are instances where they show a lot but the plot remains vague but more often than not you might as well give me the movie. Damn. Chloe Zhao is simply an impeccable director. Her last few films, while independent and completely of the opposite of tentpole Marvel fare, contained a lot of heart and a lot of beauty that I can see in this trailer. She is as much a draw for me with this film as the gorgeous Celestials and the fantastic cast are. I’m actually really sold.

Pretty sure that first Celestial is Eson the Searcher. His design seems pretty similar. If you all remember, he was actually in Guardians 1, when the Guardians are with the Collector and he’s explaining the deal with the Power Stone, one of the flashbacks is Eson disintegrating a bunch of people with the Power Stone. He’s never named but based on the comics and the design, it’s pretty clear that’s who he is. Pretty cool!

Why do people automatically go to Cap Marvel as the standard example when talking about power creep?! As a comics head, 'magical' ppl have always had the edge when it came to that 'cos of their ability to pretty much do anything. Even in the MCU, it's clear to anyone that's been paying attention that Scarlet Witch is the most powerful hero (not strongest as in physical strength) followed by Dr Strange. Cap Marvel got her ass beat by Thanos, while Wanda handled him until he 'rained fire' to save himself - and then WandaVision levelled her up! So if ppl want to worry/complain about power creep going forward, pls let's do it properly and use Wanda as the go to example!!!

The Celestials are much, much bigger than Galactus. At least in the comics they are. Star-Lord's dad, Ego, is a Celestial in the MCU but he isn't one in the comics.

Galactus' backstory in the comics is NOT that he's a Celestial or has any connection to them, BUT in the comics the Eternals also aren't aliens and Ego wasn't a Celestial either. So even if this isn't Galactus, the MCU has the freedom to make him a Celestial later if they want. Considering how connected he is to the Fantastic Four, I personally don't think we'd see a movie Galactus until the FF are introduced, but MCU can do what they want so we'll see.

dunno if it's still the story they're going with in the comics, but for a while, the planets Galactus consumed were chosen specifically because they were Celestial eggs (which is why the Celestials managed life on those planets in particular) - G was pretty much they're one real enemy

Pretty sure that first Celestial is Eson the Searcher. His design seems pretty similar. If you all remember, he was actually in Guardians 1, when the Guardians are with the Collector and he’s explaining the deal with the Power Stone, one of the flashbacks is Eson disintegrating a bunch of people with the Power Stone. He’s never named but based on the comics and the design, it’s pretty clear that’s who he is. Pretty cool!

Why do people automatically go to Cap Marvel as the standard example when talking about power creep?! As a comics head, 'magical' ppl have always had the edge when it came to that 'cos of their ability to pretty much do anything. Even in the MCU, it's clear to anyone that's been paying attention that Scarlet Witch is the most powerful hero (not strongest as in physical strength) followed by Dr Strange. Cap Marvel got her ass beat by Thanos, while Wanda handled him until he 'rained fire' to save himself - and then WandaVision levelled her up!
So if ppl want to worry/complain about power creep going forward, pls let's do it properly and use Wanda as the go to example!!!
I watched a tier list video around the time endgame came out and I was surprised to realize captain marvel and iron man and thor we're put in the same tier just below the magical people.
The Celestials are much, much bigger than Galactus. At least in the comics they are. Star-Lord's dad, Ego, is a Celestial in the MCU but he isn't one in the comics.

Galactus' backstory in the comics is NOT that he's a Celestial or has any connection to them, BUT in the comics the Eternals also aren't aliens and Ego wasn't a Celestial either. So even if this isn't Galactus, the MCU has the freedom to make him a Celestial later if they want. Considering how connected he is to the Fantastic Four, I personally don't think we'd see a movie Galactus until the FF are introduced, but MCU can do what they want so we'll see.

dunno if it's still the story they're going with in the comics, but for a while, the planets Galactus consumed were chosen specifically because they were Celestial eggs (which is why the Celestials managed life on those planets in particular) - G was pretty much they're one real enemy
Starlord father is a celestial and the planet Nowhere is said to be a celestial too(before its destruction)

Yeah that wasn’t Galactus, that was a celestial, it just happened to look similar to Galactus. I believe Galactus may not be introduced until the next saga, and he’ll be the next “big villain” after Kang. (Obviously I don’t know that for sure, but that’s my theory)
