Well duh he used the money from the painting but shhhh don’t tell anyone. But in all honesty a lawyer could have done it pro bono. He may have had family helping him. Savings? Most likely, IMO, family
Evertime Tacopina pernounces Dali, it sounds like he's talking about a dolly missing from the custodians closet. And Dali was a surrealist and not an abstract artist. And by the way house your son's art career going"
Usually when a painting is stolen it’s value goes up. This happened with the Mona Lisa. But I don’t know if that changes if it’s stolen from a prison, instead of a museum yo 🤔
When asked what Dali would have thought of this. "He would have laughed." I totally believe that. Dali once said, "The difference between myself and a madman? I'm not mad." Perfect!
I got a story for you ... I live with my grandfather he pays rent and his stuff is taken out of his account directly and land owners wanna evict because they say he didn't pay and they hold these checks they're called star checks they don't let you plant flowers in the ground cant work on your car they took out the swings and slides children cant play they did that when they bought the land from the other guy a year ago and cant work on your car only have 30 mins to change all 4 tires its hell please help me expose they won't even let me write a review on the land on Google it's a trailer park so it has a google listing but cant write a review Lisa Guerrero please help I know you like exposing people and stuff
I’ve worked the front gate at C 76 back in 1986 The painting I am viewing is not the one I recall… I do recall ketchup stains from when the painting was in the mess hole years ago…
Fun fact: the hat he's wearing in 1:07 it's called "barretina", and school children wear it on Christmas to play the part on a catalan theatrical version about Jesus birth (to play the shepherds), cause that's the 1700's typical farmer hat in Catalonia. It's bright red with a black stripe, pretty sure most kids here have one at their house.
How can they prove that the stolen piece was a fake when it was supposedly destroyed? I think the stolen art was the original. No way they destroyed something before it’s reappraisal was valued at $0.00. Without recovery of the stolen piece the original charges should not have been altered.
It was either a reprint from the jump when donated stolen very soon after it was donated and swapped with the fake it was probably stolen in th 60s and just found out in 2003 😂
It’s worth is one million. But, IMO, you don’t ever get the worth on something stolen. I am not an expert but they might get $200,000 each. And I am sorry but imo that is not enough money for me to steal to; 1. Live with myself morally 2. Go to Prison. 3. Embarrass my family if caught 4. Ruin my career
Just because you wear a uniform and never had a criminal record doesn't mean, you're not a criminal.
Mia Tran ?
Golden state killer... Prime example
lol I’m sorry but the attorney, at the beginning, I thought was an inmate. He was wearing such a dark, plain and simplistic top. 😂
I thought that or he worked there!
My thoughts, too: how did a Dali find its way into Rikers 🤔. Now I know lol
Imagine they got sent to Rikers and see the painting back up on the wall as if nothing happened 😂
This is the longest inside edition video I've seen so far

He believed publicity was more important than quality. Dali was ahead of his time.

This is probably the longest inside edition video of all time
PLEASE DO MORE of these types of flashback/history segments!
How does a prison guard afford this lawyer .??

Am I the only person wondering WHY Rikers Island even has a Salvatore Dali hanging around? It's PRISON not an Art Museum

Its New York City

😆I rather steal a Mc Donald’s.. “(I’m Loving it’) than that suicidal drawing😂
This dudes name is “Timothy Peanut” {beast}
I wonder if this piece is still out there. Any, because of the story and everything with it, is it worth more?
Usually when a painting is stolen it’s value goes up. This happened with the Mona Lisa. But I don’t know if that changes if it’s stolen from a prison, instead of a museum yo 🤔
Did anybody noticed 2:01 the face looks like the Money Heists masks. If you notice that 🙏👇👍
Claude J'mld the mask is based of the artist they said it in the show.
Yeah that’s why it’s called a Dali mask
Claude J'mld the masks in the show relate to him
Claude J'mld it is based of him
its because the mask is a mask of dali
That lawyer looked like a mobster
never knew the news would be this intresting
When asked what Dali would have thought of this. "He would have laughed." I totally believe that.
Dali once said, "The difference between myself and a madman? I'm not mad." Perfect!
It's funny why I saw a meme that a man spent 2 months there without knowing their bail was just $2.
Pulling off an art heist during corona must require a lot of skill
xlosinq q this was in ‘03 lol
Oh my bad
Anybody know when inside edition says about something viral yet none of us have heard about it.
Keep up the good work inside edition.
Dude the girl said “uhm” like 100 times
I love when people say "my kid could've painted that". Unless your kid is a genius artist he or she can ABSOLUTELY NOT paint like that.
This reminds me of La Casa de Papel...
If u look closely on the drawing at the area of the black spot it look like satan and the mask from la case de papel
YES IM NOT THE ONLY ONE AND DALI WAS IN THE TUMBNAIL
Hey Sal!

Why does the coffee stain make it look better
This video is lit i sent it to all my contacts
No one cares
I’ve worked the front gate at C 76 back in 1986 The painting I am viewing is not the one I recall…
I do recall ketchup stains from when the painting was in the mess hole years ago…
The splash on the middle is by Dali or it’s the coffee stain by the inmate?
The splash in the middle is done by dali, its supposed to be Jesus's head hanging while on the cross
Who else read the title as “How bikers pulled off a artwork heist”
Anyone else still scrolling down to see comments
🙋🏻♂️anyone watch money heist
Remember that gta 5 online heist that u needed to steal painting from the casino
Kevin Molina litterly did one yesterday 💀
Nice
I like that attorney guy.
Within the first minute, I guess an attorney is so qualified they know what their five year old could do better than Dali. Please.
They could have just shot a picture of it and blown it up to the same size. It would have been more convincing than a hand painted fake.
Anyone else thing this has something to do with that show money heist
Plague_Arsenal it does that’s why it’s called the Dalí mask
Dasly Chu no I ment like they were talking about the show in the video that’s what I lent I know it’s from it’s the Dali mask but thank you still
that mustache tho
2:45 and this is why I respect and listen to my elders. The truth they spit is fire
how can you convict sb of replacing a fake item with another one, as no value was stolen/lost
Interesting story!
I’m 11 and I love inside edition
Me too
Why would they have an expensive art work at a prison lol?
I dunno
Did you not watch before commenting?
As catalan it's still wierd to see how a catalan artist is recognized all over the world lol also u pronounce it funny

Don't remember this case. So interesting!
Am I the only one who thinks he looks like the money heist masks ?
Lol. This is a straight roast session on Salvatore Dali.
Hey Sal! Hope you’re doing good
As a lawyer, take a public speaking class. You said Umm sooooo much, it’s in proper.
How can they prove that the stolen piece was a fake when it was supposedly destroyed? I think the stolen art was the original. No way they destroyed something before it’s reappraisal was valued at $0.00. Without recovery of the stolen piece the original charges should not have been altered.
MAMAAAAAAAA TAKE ME HOMEEEEEEE LIFE IS WINNYYYYYY THE POOOOOO
why the hell was there an expensive painting in a prison?
It wasn't the original, just a copy.
He donated it because he was supposed to come visit and couldn't.
These guy throw away their pensions
Nah. That's exactly who I thought did it. 🤣
he diald the phone upside down
Very interesting and satisfying video
Salvador Dali designed the Chupa Chups logo
Is no one gonna talk about money heist lmao
It was either a reprint from the jump when donated stolen very soon after it was donated and swapped with the fake it was probably stolen in th 60s and just found out in 2003 😂
9:32 doesn't the guy on the left look like raqel Marios/ Lisbons ex husband from the money heist series on Netflix?
Adam A lol ye

Wow $250,000 is all they would have gotten. And it gets lower lower as we watch holy sheet. NEVER WORTH IT
So 3 people were considered guilty and the one was acquitted 😂😂😂😂

I MEAN HIS NAME IS BENNY NUZZO...WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?
i know benny very well .he is a good guy. the best
To be honest... it was going to waste getting destroyed down there and no one really cared about it until they took it ! So like 😂
Why does he look like Sander Cohen from BioShock
How did they know it was stolen
How would u even sell the painting
Is sal related to sunny Bono??
Nuzzo looks like Ray romano
Since when does inside edition heart comment(s)
It was Neal Caffery
Eww no.We want Lissa G
Hey inside edition watch the crazy dude breaks bus window and make a news about it
Who is Salvatore?
