Chris wrote lyrics and songs for other artists behind the scenes. He has severe anxiety performing on stage until he married Morgane. She encouraged him and she sang backup vocals for him and he started to become successful on his own. Morgane is extremely talented . You need to watch the video of Fire Away. But listen to the plain song without the video. It will tear your heart out of your chest.
Chris Stapleton in three and a half minutes can make you feel everything... Other artists spend 2 hours at a concert with dancers and a light show and make you feel nothing. True genius doesn't need anything other than themselves and the band. And it's like you said it's not about the genre it's about the music. People think they don't like something just because. I am probably more eclectic than anyone I know when it comes to music. I love music from smooth jazz to Cajun and in my circle of hillbilly I am considered very weird LOL. I have been on to Chris Stapleton long before he was famous, and in my opinion... There's nothing like him out right now for people to grab onto. Most everything else is just background noise that is out right now.

They are predominantly a country group but they can cover all genres and do it well. My suggestion to start would be Man of Constant Sorrow and then their of End of the Road by Boys II Men, they do an amazing job in everything they do. Their fans, affectionately known as Home Fries, support the group and the reactors that react to them. You might just pick up many more subscribers if you travel down this rabbit hole.
