Whoever arranged the strings is a genius. It’s the best song I think I’ve ever heard and I’m 75. It’s absolutely incredible. Great reaction. He reaches inside and rips your heart right out.
This man has soul. he makes you feel his songs! Powerful vocals, great guitar. "LIVE" Can't hide mistakes. Everyone on stage is a master of their craft!
Next should be: 1) I Was Wrong @ Austin City Limits 2) Barely Alive 3) Starting Over 4) Either Way 5) Do Right Woman: Tribute to Aretha Franklin, this is one of my favorites These are such great songs. Of course, it’s Chris so all of his songs are great
Chris's Country is on the border of Blues, and just across the river from Soul. Any of Chris's CMA performances are worth watching. ❤🔥You heard his "Death Row" yet?
Just saw him and George Strait last Saturday and he is just as good live!!!! Soul just pours outta this man, check out his song “Deathrow” TRUST ME!!! 😉
I am not a country fan. However; I was mopping my floors one day and Tennessee Whiskey came on. I dropped the mop to go find out who was singing that. I’ve never had that response in my life. I’ve been listening to him ever since!! He blew me away.
Country, rock and roll, jazz, rhythm and blues and soul are all pretty much the southern cousins of one another, and Chris seems to be related to all those families!
I’ve never heard this song or seen this performance before now, so I got to experience it for the first time along with you. I was ugly crying to Chris and laughing at the same time to you and your reactions 😂 It was a roller coaster of emotions
You have to watch the video of the CMA Awards from 2015 when people were just hearing of him. Chris and Justin Timberlake performed two songs, 1st was Tennessee Whiskey (Chris’s) and Drink You Away (Justin’s). Absolutely blew the roof off, they had Justin’s band it was unbelievable.
There's a recent CMA performance of "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" with Stapleton and Patty Loveless - it's an amazing song that I think exemplifies the best of country music.
Probably his darkest work, but I beleive his best in "Death Row". You will find yourself transported right there in the cell......... on death row. An amazing song! I have all of CS records and there is not one single song that is bad..... not one. Also, check his wife out in "Amanda" singing background vocals (She has the voice of an angel). Chris always has her stage front, right where she belongs! An older work is "Fool Me Again", simply amazing stuff!
Shon, I love watching your reactions! I like how you put on a big smile because the song is making you emotional and you don't want to react emotionally! ❤
@Shon awesome reaction! Please react to his performance “57th ACM Awards “Watch You Burn” it’s 🔥! He wrote it after the mass shooting in Vegas in October 2017. Didn’t release it for a while until his wife convinced him to! Also performance “I Was Wrong (Austin City Limits)” 6-7 minute version he plays epic guitar solo at end! Amazing! Chris has that blues, soul,R&B, Outlaw Country in his voice that cuts to your soul! He’s a living Legend! Thanks fren
That's the thing about country - like any genre - hip hop, classical, whatever, there are certain artists and sounds you may really love and some you don't. But when you start getting into well, there's another one I like, welp, one more, one more after that then yes, you are officially a fan of that type of music. You don't have to like every country artist and every song to be a discerning fan of the music. I tend to steer clear of the good old boy racist undertone type songs/artists but love so many others, there is room for you as a fan.
Hey buddy I love watching your reactions. You have watched many videos I have known the song for years and you pick up things and point them out and I'm like in shock that I didn't get that that way years earlier. Keep it up. You should check out Chris Stapleton Sometimes I Cry and also I Was Wrong to complete bangers. Very blusey. Take care ! Denny
Either Way, What Are You Listening To, Whiskey And You, This Is A Man’s World, I Was Wrong, Watch You Burn, even the National Anthem at the Super Bowl: all live vesions
@Shon, Yo B, seeing you're feeling Chris's vibe. Check out a joint called "Iron Sky (Abby Road Live) by Paolo Nutini." That cat's not Country but he's every bit of a blue eyed soul vocalist similar to Chris, no doubt! ++Peace, Funk & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul++
Any more like this: Well... the entire Chris and Morgane Stapleton catalog is a good place to start. Live Chris is always best Chris, but his albums are good too. Keep in mind that he's a once-in-a-generation talent. Brent Cobb is kind of a Bob Dylan sound with a country flair. Not so much bluesy, but kind of a quiet country folk with amazing lyrics. Adele is freaking amazing with a throwback almost big band sound.
Shon..If your wanting to check out more country I'd suggest Blake Shelton, God's Country and Brooks and Dunn, Believe...I think you will like both songs and videos. Barb
Country is just like any other genre - there are many sides to it, many influences - here blues influence is obvious, right? Some is more twangy - sometimes on purpose - sometimes for humorous effect. There is "Country-Rap", "Southern Rock", all kinds of country, so to say any person just doesn't like it just says they haven't listened to it. Even "Country Music Fans" have some types of country they like more than others, some they don't like. But most of us also listen to all the other genres. Which is why you see all the various influences in "country music". Just take "Jelly Roll" for instance.....LOL
Life can be defined in two phases, before and after hearing Chris sing for the first time. lol
CHRIS IS THE G.O.A.T. 🎸
Love that!
Oh my God. Got to hear
Teddy Swims
I lose control
@@JaniceSingleton-mh1vx I have. So good!
💯💯💯💯changing lives!!!

This song is my favorite of all of songs!! Chris Stapleton is the bomb!!!

Chris's Country is on the border of Blues, and just across the river from Soul. Any of Chris's CMA performances are worth watching. ❤🔥You heard his "Death Row" yet?
I also love “Either way”
This isn't the border of the blues, this is the blues.
It’s Outlaw Country
@@thedeepfriar745 Sho nuff…..with blues sprinkled in!!!
Deathrow is my fave Chris song, that and White Horse…have u heard that one???
❤Chris is a magnificent mix of blues and country!
he’s featured on a H.E.R. Song. (Hold on). Fire 🔥
Just saw him and George Strait last Saturday and he is just as good live!!!! Soul just pours outta this man, check out his song “Deathrow” TRUST ME!!! 😉
Chris Stapleton is just country, he is so soulful. It could be on the rock charts, blues he is in another world when it comes to talent.
I am not a country fan. However; I was mopping my floors one day and Tennessee Whiskey came on. I dropped the mop to go find out who was singing that. I’ve never had that response in my life. I’ve been listening to him ever since!! He blew me away.
Bro you have proven that you are a true Music Lover. When you can find the best of music you wouldn't normally listen to, you have a musical ear.
Country, rock and roll, jazz, rhythm and blues and soul are all pretty much the southern cousins of one another, and Chris seems to be related to all those families!
Check out Chris singing "Death Row"
Chris Stapleton wrote, "Cold". Quite a talent!
I’ve never heard this song or seen this performance before now, so I got to experience it for the first time along with you. I was ugly crying to Chris and laughing at the same time to you and your reactions 😂 It was a roller coaster of emotions
Fire Away ( official music video) is a must!!!
Nobody talks about the folks riffin it on the violins.
There's a recent CMA performance of "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" with Stapleton and Patty Loveless - it's an amazing song that I think exemplifies the best of country music.
Chris Stapleton's talent level is SICK!!!!
I think Chris is a crossover. The man has so much soul that he could R & B. Here the man is singing the Blues.
I've seen Chris twice in Texas. He is amazing.
Chris is definitely the most talented guy on this planet!
