Great tutorial! Wish this was around when I bought mine. As a side note, anyone in the market for a flasher will no be disappointed with this "entry level" unit. I've used mine humours times over the past couple years and it works great! Don't know how I did it without one. Take care. -Pidge
Best informative video of the ice 55 on RUclips! I have been searching for ever and all these guys just do a video on the demo mode. Great video! 👍 thanks!!
thank you! I did end up purchasing this unit a month ago and I bought a off brand carry case so ive only had it our 3 times since I can only fish Saturday and Sunday early morning and just yesterday this helped me fine a school of fish. ive been playing with my unit and this video helped out more to understanding it thanks again for making this video
I purchased the ICE 45 before Christmas and i absolutely love it. I'm catching more fish and easier to eliminate areas for the species I'm targeting. Went fishing yesterday caught about 40 walleye in about 7 ft of water. Awesome unit!!
Thank-you, clear and concise presentation that is also informative. I also appreciated that this seemed more polished than other videos on the same topic, you didn't um or ah, and no oh yeah I forgot. well done.
I've had this a few years, killer for 1-40 ft I'd say but laker fishing in 70-120 ft was hard to mark fish or lure.. 45 and 55 are more powerful not saying humminbird is bad love this unit just hoping this helps someone reading it
Thanks man. I think we used an iphone 6 or 7 to record the flasher so that you could see it as it normally appears. When I shoot it with my gopro it looks CRAZY!
It’s an ice flasher so basically used to see directly under you and marks depth of structure as well as fish. You wouldn’t use this on a boat since it doesn’t really show you a picture of what’s Under you like a traditional sonar
I guess I don't understand your question Jay as mine appears to have a red bar at the zero mark, most noticeable from about 30 seconds to the 1 minute mark in the video...?
THE MOUNTAINLIFE hey buddy. Totally my fault. The last half of your vid it looks yellow to me. That’s where I was screwed up. It is red, and that was my bad. You did a fantastic job of making this video, especially the run down on everything is so clear. You do very good videos. Please disregard my stupid comment on the color of that bar. lol. And keep up the great work. It’s so helpful to have guys like you on the web doing these things for us!!
Jay Bilawchuk No problem man! I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something, glad it was just something simple. Thanks for your thoughts on my videos. It’s super nice to know that your work is appreciated, thanks! My hope is to help people catch a few more fish and expand their skills on the water whenever I do a vid like this. Good luck!
THE MOUNTAINLIFE yea me too I don't get why people call em entry level I'd love to have one a guy at fleet farm said I'd understand when I ice fish more I'm still in my first year ice fishing so I figured you might can tell me why people say that bout them

They really are a game changer, glad you're getting some good use out of it!

Thanks for the info CrappieDev.
THE MOUNTAINLIFE yea man hope you have as much luck as I've had with it.. changed my catch ratio lol
I have the same issue with the 55
How do you know how far down to put lure..??
Mine has a power issue after 4 years it won’t spin the spinner or light up but it makes noises
Have you tried a new battery?
Great video. What camera did you use to record the screen of the flasher??
Thanks man. I think we used an iphone 6 or 7 to record the flasher so that you could see it as it normally appears. When I shoot it with my gopro it looks CRAZY!
THE MOUNTAINLIFE That’s good to know. Thanks
Great demonstration
I'm from Illinois I usually fish off bank or off my boat. What is this device for!?
It’s an ice flasher so basically used to see directly under you and marks depth of structure as well as fish. You wouldn’t use this on a boat since it doesn’t really show you a picture of what’s Under you like a traditional sonar
So what exactly does gain do? It says you covered it but I couldn’t find it.
Gain is the same as sensitivity. If you turn the gain up the unit is more sensitive to smaller things in the water.
great video!
Thank you!
Awsome video man thanks
No problem, glad you liked it.
Why is your top bar at zero yellow and not red? I swear mine is messed up having a red bar on top.
I guess I don't understand your question Jay as mine appears to have a red bar at the zero mark, most noticeable from about 30 seconds to the 1 minute mark in the video...?

have you hit strawberry lately?
I haven't, I'm living in Southern Idaho, so I haven't got to the berry yet this year.
The word longevity is in almost every you tube video now. Must sound cool so everyone tries to fit it in there lmao
Why are they called entry level flashers I don't see anything wrong with em
I guess you can spend more money, but this had everything I was looking for. Maybe I'm a bit simple I guess!
