It's not a bug. If you kill unprovoked those characters will dislike you. Even some provoked violence will trigger it. He gave me shit for taking out Ron after he tried to literally kill me
Wow just give Cora and Sam their ship by registering and selling the mantis to Akila and stop having to deal with them. On the plus side they take care of most left over trash once u become friends
I bought and modded the stronghold to have 6 auto turrets and 2 particle lasers. Made it to where my ship can shoot forward and backwards 4 guns forwards 4 guns backwards but they seem to rotate. Highly effective for just tearing up loads of enemies

I just came across this a couple of days ago but my "damaged ship" was an a-class POS...odd because my character's lvl 72. You got a way better ship lol
Got a Va’ruun Prophecy III, Autobahn III and the Narwhal as well as usual Razor-leaf, Star Eagle, Frontier and Guardian. Wish you could give ships to companions to fly as got quite a fleet now.

Everyone i see in starfield content. Ships have 6k cargo, 100 mobility and are well designed. Me: 30k cargo space, is essentially a flying brick with 0 mobility, doesn't matter as mobility doesn't mean squat with large engines, get bored and use a crimson fleet ship as a base for a 19k triangle with 4 paricle cannon turrets that are mounted in bugged positions meaning they can shoot through the ship. Laugh uncontrollably as you want to build a well designed ship but need the cargo space as i collect all armour if its not common rarity and clothing items. Also harvest every single resource as I NEED THEM for something. Eventually.

I found a derelict "Bireme" today worth 130k. First one I have found that allowed me to repair it. 5520 storage, lasers and missiles. Only 19 LY so a few changes will be needed to spruce it up a bit.
It would be a good base template for sure, I really like the Va’ruun prophecy or the Ecliptic Claymore, they come native with particle weapons and solid Reactors. Very easy to upgrade

I relieved him of command of his nice shiny UC Vista III. Been looking for that one for awhile and it just landed in my lap. Claymore is now considered a good starting ship.
Where did you find it? I've yet to find any derelict or damaged ship outside of missions which you obviously can't do anything with. It's probably gonna be different for me being on console
Useful Tip for anyone that likes Ship Scrapping to make Decent Creds, Use only One Designated Outpost Landing Pad with Ship Builder to Build / Redesign any Ship you want to keep. I don't think Bethesda Coded Outpost Ship Builders to Reset the Available Credits every 2 days like all the Ship Technicians available Credits do. So in turn, use 1 Outpost to Build and Modify ships to build up the available Credits, then use that same Outpost to sell all the ships you Capture to get your credits back.

Sorry to be a bother. Just out of curiosity, would someone verify we all do not see the same things in Starfield. Would someone go to Sirius 1 and see if there is a Pressurized Cave marking. If so, see if there is a ship sitting there called the Transpo. Been abandoned for decades it would seem. It can also be claimed. Stats are 2 crew 16 reactor 22 LY, one weapon, 300 cargo valued at 41148. Maybe a nice fixer-upper

If you reach rank 4 in Ship Building skill and have at least 1 mil in credits to play with you can build upon any basic ship and make it the ultimate ship. I captured a behemoth of a VA'RUUN ship and built on it making it the ultimate ship. It's huge with 5680 storage. I can build more storage which I might since I hit the limit with all the resources I have stored. I'm on second playthrough with nextgen+ but yeah I recommend everyone to work on the shipbuilding skill.
100% Billy, mine is based of a free star collective renegade, 580k credit value, the most expensive I have found in the wild. Had maxed reactor, 2k+ shields and okay engines. These I haven’t touched, had 4.9k storage which I have trimmed down to 1+k and also removed further hubs to bring the weight down and get maximum manoeuvrability. Stealing a good ship and building off it is the way to go. Va’ruun prophecy is probably the one you are referring to which comes native with particle turrets 👌. The cheapest and best ship to upgrade is the Shieldbreaker / Spacer Coyote. It easily accommodates the new Class-C reactor and Grav Drive, and with some hab rearrangements you get an excellent interior and two large cargo containers and a shielded container at the rear, all without changing its shape (ditch one of the redundant HE3 tanks and move the Grav Drive there). Because it only requires two engines to achieve 90+ mobility it is a lot more economical to upgrade than, say, a Starhawk. My Starhawk upgrade looks amazing both inside and out, but with 4 engines it's obscenely expensive; you can get the same performance and same weapons loadout on the Shieldbreaker for far less, still have both workshop and science lab and a full crew, and still have greater mobility.

@tardigrade1303 That's strange. Whenever mine bugs out, it won't let me fast travel. It says I can't fast travel while I'm falling. I've heard that if you sit in a chair it corrects the problem... but that's not a very convenient solution.

For your front manual weapons look at the vanguard turrets, you can have up to 6 each

That ship is garbage, a B class with 35 reactor power. The Ecliptic Claymore III is my personal ship, or the UC Reef is nice as well.

Yeah you don't need all that. Just get 4 partical cannons. Not autos. A good reactor and you can take on any ship. You only need piloting 1

Since I upgrade phase time to VIII it locks my game, sorta... Have to fast travel somewhere to break out of it.
