I just drove by come by chance today and the oil refinery. Now I heard this story it gave me chills. I hit a moose with my car before and it was destroyed I should have been killed. The moose stood up and walked away not far before it died but still wtf. Love your stories and hello from Newfoundland.

And that is why lads, gals and non - binary pals ( yes, I borrowed that quote because I like it AND it rhymes) is why LHH is the best at choosing stories and giving them his own touch.
(I don't know , but I doubt he always narrates exactly word by word - Idk to what degree someone- as a narrator - has the freedom to change the wording slightly...)
I guess it also depends on the original writer, but again, Idk about these things
[Maybe a writer could elaborate on that very subject ?

To all those neck deep, or deeper, in quick sand… I’m there with you. I agree, it sucks we cannot really help each other. Professionally, I have been in service of others with with compassion and empathy for 20 years, and that’s a piece of my soul, my identity. Unfortunately, part of what is happening has taken my career away, so when I’m able to help others it helps me forget how broken I am. I wish we had DM on RUclips ❤️‍🩹
Believe this… We all have it inside us to make it through our battles. At the very core… The hardest parts are finding the ability to believe in yourself, finding your worth, leaving those pushing you down, and fighting like hell to rise above the situations we are in-they can be so overwhelming difficult. I know-I’ve lost all of my assets, am unhoused, leaving a DV situation, and am in the late stages of a life limiting disease. My partner became abusive as I became sicker and could no longer be the main provider, I cashed out all retirement, and a discrimination settlement in my last efforts to supplement family income. Once he had to return to work, I became a nothing and was resented, then actively harmed, after a near 30 year relationship. Now I am climbing out of that, and I am sick. Even though I am in counseling, I still find the self worth part elusive, it took over a year for me to identify and accept the DV (it had to be phrased “what would you do/call it if you were your own patient” for me to get it). That’s just a summary, I’m not putting it all out there, I just want you to know I get it (even though our situations may vary widely),not just just talking out of my ass, the things we need to attain, and they are really at the base of SO MANY problems, seem near impossible, but they are so simple… funny how that works-be present in the day-but yesterday is haunting and tomorrow is terrifying, even though the concept itself is so very simple. But…
I BELIEVE IN YOU! YOU HAVE WORTH AND YOU ARE DESERVING OF GOOD! Every yesterday is the past, and while that has shaped you, it does not define you. What you do today, create a better tomorrow, even the smallest of steps. You CAN DO IT, breath by breath, minute by minute, you are the change. Personally, I don’t set daily goals because some days I’m too sick to do anything at all, like getting out of bed is a celebration lol. I set attainable weekly goals and what I’d like to have done in a month. I have a yearly planner and I write it down, part of that is the benefit of SEEING what I’ve done, crossing it out, it is rewarding. Find a system that works for you an allows you to see your progress-anything small to large, if it’s going the way towards your goal, it’s progress. Don’t be afraid to reach out to resources. I have social workers at 2 doctors offices, an RN case manager with another doctor, another with my health insurance, and a CM, DV Advocate, and SA Advocate all with the same agency trying to help me. On the nights when I feel like unaliving myself is the only option I have, I try to use the tools I give others and if that doesn’t work, I reach out. I don’t think my kids are ready for me to go just yet. There is always someone that doesn’t want to lose you, you just don’t see it through your pain. I don’t want to lose you ❤ whatever is happening, I don’t want you to go.
Sorry this is so long, sometimes a comment should be I guess. I rarely comment, but I think now was a good time to do so. Be safe everyone ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

As I sat there, I realized this creature never meant to hurt him, his plan was always to chase him to that woman and let him go. The first time I listened, I thought he ran to her by happenstance but no, he was navigated that way and the creature always knew where he was and allowed him to think he was hiding and getting away. I don't know why this just dawned on me today but I had to rehear the story to how I completely missed that the first time.

I think...Mikael kinda used the person telling the story to free himself. He was herding him to Matilda's house because he knew the stipulations of their covenant. He knew he was in the pile of rotten meat, as the fae have incredible senses. He was driving him to where he needed to be to enact his way out. I also hold that he saved the guy's life from the water. A sort of 'paying back his debts' sort of deal for unknowingly freeing him. A tying up loose ends so to speak

Having grown up in Alaska, I can vouch that moose are huge. A fully-grown bull is bigger than a draft horse, and then there are the antlers. Their hooves are the real worry, though; they can be very sharp, and with a moose's weight behind them, they'll turn you into mincemeat. Also, yes, they are excellent swimmers, to the point that orcas prey on them in the waters of Southeast Alaska.

I took a family trip to Montana with my grandfather and two of my cousins many years ago, in the summer of 2005. We stayed in a rustic cabin in the mountains above the town of Libby, Montana. While we were there, we encountered a moose, and were well aware of how dangerous they are. Fortunately, the one we encountered was a cow moose, was a safe distance from us, and wasn't aggressive at all. That didn't stop one of my cousins from telling a ridiculous ghost story involving "Count Moose-ula" and "Moosenstein", which somehow seemed less ridiculous than normal when heard at night in the attic of a rustic cabin in the absolute darkness of a dense mountain forest...

You’re narrations are the best! Always will be!
Also it was nice to see you in person! That’s always nice to know who is telling the story. I’m a very big horror fan love the adrenaline of not knowing what happens in the story and trying to predict what happens but I’m about 50/50 on that. Yeah I’m 45 and Listen to all new horror stories on RUclips! You’re narrating is my favorite and I hope you enjoy your profession and that you know your the best!! 19:21

Just a tip. If you actually hit something on an abandoned road stop. I mean unless you want to get charged with a hit-and-run. In the real world not stopping is bad advice.

🇨🇦 a good one. I knew a young man who encountered a moose, he had just picked up his first brand new car up in Prince George and was driving it back to the Okanagan. It was a 2001 Toyota Tercel and he just about fit right through the moose’s legs.
Unfortunately, it hit the abdomen at just the perfect angle to peel back the roof of the car just over the drivers seat……🤢🫣
…….yes, that’s right ‘offal’ of it right over his head and all down into the drivers side of the car…… the inside of the moose.🤮
This was his first car accident as well. He was alone, on a long stretch of highway, covered in moose and new car smell 😂
    The kicker?
The car was fine, they actually FIXED IT and gave it back to him!!! They just replaced the drivers seat and carpets!! (Fixed the roof and windows of course).
LOL - he drove the moose car for about 10 years.😂

When I was stationed up in northern Maine one of the things that they told us during my inbriefing was "do not under any circumstance mess with the moose." They are NOT good natured animals and if you decide to mess with one then don't be shocked when they make you their personal play toy.
