    This reminds me when my sister called my uncle when her car died on the side of the road. I was out of state so she called our uncle. A pair of "helpful" guys where trying to get her to get in there car when he arrived with his 3 teenage sons and Uncle Kyle tried convinced them to leave (showed them he and his eldest where armed and that there would be problems if they didn't leave) the guys didn't wanna go but when a off duty officer showed up the pair left quickly. Sounds like some imitating monster of sorts: It used Emilia's voice and perhaps tried to lure the dad there with it. It would be rather traumatising seeing something that looks like your friend split open and try to off you or something. Also find I hard to believe that only the two girls went out, by themselves, into the woods with a camping area nearby. From my experience, the only time people do that is when they either want "time together," or there are others at the campsite perhaps who either bailed when they heard screaming or were the ones doing the screaming.

    Even if this story is fiction, if you are driving in the middle of the night and you get a flat tire, don't stop because it could have been somebody that threw nails at your tires in an attempt to get you to stop so they can rob you.

    My Man Mr. Lighthouse Horror guy gotta say your stories are so terrifying they have put a chill in my bones it’s been a while since I’ve been scared to go to sleep at night. But I love the feeling of PURE unadulterated FEAR
    brings back child hood memories of the feelings I used to get when I was a small kid hard to replicate that amazing new Fear from my child hood . Well I’ll I have to say is I’ve never witnessed a story teller as terrifying as you almost as if you have lived through some of these stories like there is so much detail almost like you really live through some of these stories especially the Vampire stories 🧛‍♂️🧛🧛‍♀️🥷🏻🥷🏻🥷🏻🥷🏻🥷🏻🥷🏻🥷🏻🥷🏻🥷🏻🥷🏻❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🧛‍♂️🥷🏻🐇❤️🔥🎃

    "I knew what I had to do." Yeah, call the cops before you walk in the woods so at least someone will know to look for your body. We know you can get reception because your daughter called you and you're probably on a family plan.
    Also, the cops would totally have gone straight over there, that night. Especially if it was so close as implied. They would not have waited till morning. I wonder if they would've also gotten a flat tire

    • @barkingbunny2928
      @barkingbunny2928 2 года назад +3

      You don't live in the woods, do you? We have super spotty reception and the police can take 30~45 minutes to get anywhere in a vague description like "in the woods". Half the roads are FireLane #1-90, or just un~named...

    • @histguy101

      @@barkingbunny2928 30 minutes is not bad at all. In any case, the story implies the location was much closer than 30 minutes both from their house and the hospital.

      @@histguy101 I just know it takes 20minutes for them to get to a DV call IN TOWN, let alone to travel a minimum of 30 worried parent minutes.. only so many officers to large (and sometimes random directions given) areas in a lot of rural areas. Folks have to be prepared for shyt to happen.

    Even though it's not really part of the story, I have some suspicions of what the creature could've been or at least its properties. I just read about something called the "Nishi Daak" (it's Bengali) which roughly means 'the call of the dark'. It calls out to you with the voice of someone close to you luring you away to some remote place before revealing its true form, and then kills you. Though it can only call you twice and for as far as I know it doesn't affect the mind unlike this... thing. It imitates a voice using it with no limit, and seems to be able to warp (your) reality or at least affect your mind in such a way that eventually breaks down into a state of frozen insanity.

    Good work, but things that're off with the story: (i) The father goes there searching for them believing there's a boy with them, but does not look around for him- understandable under the circumstances, but does not call the Police at the first point where he would get a signal, does not tell this to them when at the hospital
    (ii) does not tell his wife to inform Natasha's parents
    (iii) immediately susoects that his daughter may be getting schizophrenic, when he himself gets similar nightmares
