I just now had a chance to listen all the way through, and this one was really good! I love the stories you choose to narrate. Most nites are spent watching the fence rolls and listening to a good creepypasta lol.
@@TheStuart-of-Cosby Right on, I think you would really enjoy listening to "Where did the Road Go?" It's a high strangeness podcast, the guy who runs it even replies to comments pretty often, it's been on for like close to ten years so it has a massive back catalogue. Also, did you use the old flood light trick with the coyotes? Let them come up a decent ways, hit the lights and fire at their eye shine? I had to do that with my neighbor a few years ago when they were killing his chickens.
The rope that had been across the door sounds so familiar, but I can't for the life of me remember what they're called. Heard this on Dark Night Tales' channel a few days ago, and been banging my head ever since trying to recall it. My uncle lives in Arizona at the edge of the Navajo reservation, and he was out looking for one of his dogs late one night. Came to the edge of a washout and could see eyes glowing faintly at the bottom. Figured it was his dog until he heard hooves clattering on the rocks. He took off away, trying to remember what his wife (she is full-blood Navajo, lives on the reservation with her family, and has told him to stay in his house at night; weird relationship...) had told him, when he heard a braying sound behind him. It was a fricking donkey the neighbor had been looking for. Dog came back the next day and smeared mud all over the couch. The idea of something running up out of the hole reminded me of his story. Expecting a dog and hearing hooves sprinting at you out of the dark...
I think it's rather disrespectful that you would call your uncle's relationship with the Navajo woman "weird" 🤷🏾♀️ white people think anything they don't subscribe to or that they didn't invent is somehow strange. You should be ashamed of yourself to tell your uncle's story and slide that piece in like it matters. There's nothing wrong with people who've been living off of the land for centuries, and knowing what's really in the dark, asking someone they love to stay inside at night but of course you white people think you've got everything locked down and we shouldn't be doing anything that you cowards wouldn't do 🤦🏽 I can't stand people like you. Your story was almost interesting if you wouldn't have added that ignorant little snippet
i love these shorter narrations...the perfect amount of time to sit and let my car warm to drive home, or to get to the next town to buy groceries, or to settle in for the pre night shift nap! great story, kudos to the author!
