That's because it's a creepypasta. Not a /r/nosleep story. A kind of reformed version of creepypasta. CreepyPastas can be terrifying but at the same time... That fear can be rationalized away as fake because of the story telling. Especially if the story is told from the first person perspective and the main character dies. It would be impossible to get a story from someone who died. The NoSleep subreddit has a specific rule (2) about the stories posted there. 2. Stories must be plausible. This means that the narrator must be physically and mentally capable of posting and that the events of the story cannot be proven to be false on a large scale. Stories posted in 2nd person or third person omniscient must have a clearly stated believable reason for being written as such. So due to the nature of the realistic story telling, most horror narrators on RUclips pull from NoSleep. Because the best way to scare an audience is to give them something that could possibly be real. That's why a majority of their stories told are told by people that survive their encounter

She sprinted to her van and got the hell out of there. Nothing happened/she didn't hear or see anything but still, really tense few minutes there. I was about that uneasy for the entire narration, fantastic work!
The characters of my stories are often killed or left in debilitating madness at the end. The rare ones where the person telling the story seemingly dies at the end are always the most interesting. They seem to imply that somehow, they were able to share their story after death. Or perhaps, something pretending to be them.
I used to work in a cave(a summer gig at a national park). Turning out the lights for the night alone was nerve wracking. We had one part of a tour where we'd turn off the lights. Always liked to joke that someone was missing when we turned em back on.
A 4 legged creature doesn't untie a rope+ send it falling down a chute! What happened to Jim? The ending was extremly confusing, what happened to the guy? Thought he had made it out okay.
Now I'm left wondering if his friend was attacked/killed, or if he was in on it lol. I was half expecting him to find pics of his friends body on the camera.
I've been in a few stupidly dangerous and difficult caves but mines are a whole different thing. Mines can be so unpredictable. From floors you'll fall through to undetonated explosives. I love going in them but the level of focus it takes can be intense.

Oh my god, bro. So far, I've loved every single one of your narrations and have come to the point where I just like your videos before they even start lmao ilysm
Yay!!!😘😘😘😘 a new LHH! Perfect timing along with Godly talent!!! Love you my boy!!!
Thank you Stephen...hope your throats feeling better.
Thanks for listening Walk & the kind words! 👊
It’s so rare I hear a story this engaging and intense, incredible job on the narration.
So scary. Thanks for the latest story, Stephen.
Glad you enjoyed it Rosslinda!
This was a really good scary story - that even got me telling the characters what NOT to do & so forth!! 12/10😀
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😎✌️
They need to turn that story into a movie. That was actually pretty creepy
I guess The Decent is relatively close, more the second movie. Had highly thought about it.
I absolutely love your voice, let me tell you. You always add so much emotion, and really immerses me in the story. Thank you, man.
Oh what a surprise ending. I can almost picture your stories being played out on a stage! It's been a long time since I've listened to one so good. I can see now I'm going to have to binge watch the rest of your work.
Amazing job, my friend. Best narrator on RUclips. Appreciate your continued phenomenal work.
Giving that vibe off like the movie “the descent”. Freaking scary 😎
I love me some lighthouse horror stories
Who doesn't!? 🙃
Omg how terrifying, great narration and story, thank you 🌹😊
You’re becoming the first channel that I check for new videos every time I open yt
Nail biting.. teeth clenched thru the whole damned story !! Wow! Love it!!
Nice comment hello Brenda how are you doing
hearing a silent hill song during a creepypasta makes me so happy, my 2 fav things
Your monster voice was so perfect! Good story and great narration!
That was terrifying, but also fantastic. So well done and so well written. 👏👏👏
Wow, that one gave me serious goosebumps!
Just in time for a drive
"Jim is that you?" Yaknow what, I don't think that was Jim after all
Worth the listen - a certain bloodlust seeps in as it continues. Whomever wrote this, brother you have the gift.
this was SO intense and truly scary. i had to pause at some points just to take a second to collect myself before continuing. wow. 10/10 writing & narration!
Wow wasn’t expecting that ending 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Almost 12 mins in & I’m on edge with anticipation!!
Ok....this one creeped me the F out!
My fam JUST got back from Carlsbad caverns.....they loved it
I love Carlsbad! I've been 4 times and it's always a new experience.
Jim? Is that you Jim precious? Who else thought of Gollum? That ending was so gut wrenching. Great story
Ohhhh that was a good one! If you're reading this before listening, you're gonna enjoy this one 😉
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Lighthouse did a wonderful job bringing the story to life.
Imma have nightmares of the voice saying Jim is that you.
Oml I put this on to hopefully fall asleep to and let's just say I'm pulling an all nighter now. Hard to find a story that actually scares me. Great narration was fully immersed.
It may take a few days for me to listen to these, but I always do! I've listened to all of your uploads, because I just love your story telling!! Thanks for entertaining me, in some of the darkest days in my life!
I appreciate it L! I'll keep 'em coming!
@@LighthouseHorror Thank you so much! ❤️
That was a good one. I highly recommend watching some of the mine exploration videos on RUclips to see what some of the stuff like a manway and the left over artifacts look like.
Thank you!
i love your videos! i really enjoy listening to them while going to take a nap after school. keep up the great work! :)
Wow....Great story! I was really hoping he'd make it out...(felt like I was right there with him!) EXCELLENT narration as always!!!☺👍
The rare ones where the person telling the story seemingly dies at the end are always the most interesting. They seem to imply that somehow, they were able to share their story after death. Or perhaps, something pretending to be them.
What happend to jim tho? Was he captured by sliver??
Jim isn’t bad at giving directions, he’s just..bad at.. GIVING directions
I used to work in a cave(a summer gig at a national park). Turning out the lights for the night alone was nerve wracking.
We had one part of a tour where we'd turn off the lights. Always liked to joke that someone was missing when we turned em back on.
Great story! Thanks for reading it to us.
This guy is king of storys, hail the lord of lore
A 4 legged creature doesn't untie a rope+ send it falling down a chute! What happened to Jim? The ending was extremly confusing, what happened to the guy? Thought he had made it out okay.
Now I'm left wondering if his friend was attacked/killed, or if he was in on it lol. I was half expecting him to find pics of his friends body on the camera.
Omg. Listening while driving home from work. Got home just before the end. This is freaking SCARY! Great story!
great AUTHOR !
Thank you so much!
So that’s why sliver was carved in to the entrance of the main not because it was a misspelling of silver but because that was the name of the monster
prediction: a pair of funny skeleton men with height a difference
lol I wish hah. Those two fellas were nice
Outstanding, per usual. Thanks for keeping me company as I burn the midnight oil for a project! 💙🖤💙🖤💙
Okay.. that was the best one yet. Holy smokes. So glad I found this channel
I've been in a few stupidly dangerous and difficult caves but mines are a whole different thing. Mines can be so unpredictable. From floors you'll fall through to undetonated explosives. I love going in them but the level of focus it takes can be intense.
