● About me:
My name is Joseph & I'm based out of British Columbia Canada. I’ve been living full time in my self built minivan conversion since 2019. Choosing the lifestyle was an adaptation to some very difficult life’s circumstances. Van life has allowed me to reflect more carefully, take responsibility, rebalance, and grow much faster than I think I could have otherwise. It has taught me a different way of life that I've come to appreciate more and more and it has afforded me more resources to share with myself, my family, and the community. It has also put me more in touch with nature, both inner and outer, and these are huge passions of mine that I share here.
My goal is to share the journey with you and with that, inspire, teach, and foster awareness with our connections. I truely want to co-develop a stronger healthier world community with all of you and I love meeting you in the wild when it happens.
Some of my most fundamental values and visions are built around food, conservation, education, humility, Integrity, development, exploration, community, and love
The world is my playground, my school, my mother and certainly not mine.
Gratitude and much love
I got one last spring and it's worked really well in my full-size van when I camp. I put a 3-gallon bucket in the driver's side foot well and collect the water in that. I also wrap the exhaust ducts in either towels or reflectix to keep the heat from bleeding back into the cabin. I built a cover that attaches to the driver's door to shield the exhaust duct openings from rain and debris. Thanks for the vid :)
Hi Joe! It's me again, I should have mentioned that I am not a van lifer, but, I am a trucker who lives in the truck full time! Sometimes my diesel heater doesn't work and my night air can't keep up as well, looking for a backup system, this might be it!!
Hi Joseph, welcome back. Hopefully you will get to see your daughter soon again. I know you miss her dearly already 😊 thanks for the review, I’ve seen people review the first eco flow, they practically said the same 😆 hopefully they’ll keep trying and eventually come out with something great. Have a blessed day and I’ll see you in the next one 😃🫶🏼
Hi Joseph, it's nice to see you again, thanks for the demo and information. 😊
Wow! That looks like it could be a game changer for many who struggle in the heat. Also thinking it’s the start of change - just like power banks have improved over the last 5+ years, the portable A/C market will improve too
I agree. The price point and the technology is just in it's infancy.
A piece of foam cut out with a thick elastic.Around the tubes.
Great content, more companies should use your platform for products you do an amazing job. I live in a house with central air but I have a three seasons porch that could use a little extra help I am going to have to check this our. Thanks Joseph.
I have both the EcoFlow Wave 2 and another less powerful 24v DC clone of the Zero Breeze Mark 2. They both have their own usefulness. I like my Zero Breeze mark 2 clone because it will accept any 24 volt DC power and work. The Wave 2 requires the battery add on pack or one of their power stations to work off DC. It can probably be modified like the original wave 1 to accept and DC connection.
You also want ecoflows special
DC XT150 cable. You’ll get better results in efficiency.
That was cool! I bet other van dwellers will be checking that ac unit out after your demo.
I bought the Zero Breeze Mark II, it works fine as my solar setup isn't that big anyway, but the EcoFlow has way more power for the same price. Plus the Zero Breeze costumer service sucks so I would def recommend this one!
Great honest review. You have answered my questions I had on this device. Thank you Joseph.
Great to see you again. Looking forward to some underwater adventures.
Take care Much love 🤗 🤗
I watch another u-tuber out of Detroit Michigan that does some fishing that has one of these units set up in the back of is pickup truck where he sleeps when on trips. Slick little units for van dwellers & camping.
You did an awesome job man!!!
I have a zerobreeze. For my house window, I have a fabric vent that Velcros to the window with fabric tubular design that drawstrings around the vent tubes. maybe you could design something like that with Velcro or magnets
Excellent review and product. The battery would have lasted until morning, if you started at bedtime with a full charge I suspect.
Amazing job Joseph, seems like a great little unit 👍
You make the best reviews on utube! Thanks
Thanks for the EcoFlow practical review. That's a good sale price of 40% off.
Thanks for the review. Appreciate your thoroughness & honesty both in this review and all your videos. Your attention to detail is admirable. I have enjoyed watching the evolution of your channel. Wishing you many blessings.
🥰 love, peace & gratitude
I’ve heard a lot of people complain about these. Mine has been outstanding in my suv it keeps me 65 F comfortably
If helps during those hot summer days. Glad you were able to get one.
This is the exact setup that I want for my 86 GTS Sports Car!.. It seems a bit loud but, just as long as your Cold, I’d just be Playing Computer Games hard out in Cold Air-Conditioning!
Such a great review. I wish Chrome would get one for Cruz!
I've been looking into this for several months. Thank you for your review! It's helped me to decide to get one eventually.
Quite the review ! Safe travels.🍁🤙
My Wave 2 arrived in the mail just a couple of days ago. Looking forward to camping with it in little over a month.
That's an awesome deal they have going right now. The original price point was just a little to much for me to stomach.
That's legitimately impressive. I had looked at that unit because I don't need AC frequently enough that a rooftop unit on my van makes sense (and those units are obscenely loud too by the way), but I really doubted that this thing could cool it down. Nice to know that it works quite well.
I see diving in Okanagan lake in summer in your future.
Hey Joe! How's it going? I was just wondering about you and the ecoflo wave 2! What a win / win!! I'm on the fence about it and the Bouge RV AC , but it only blows cold air. Always good to see you again!
New toy. Looks good. Enjoy. 👍
Good to see your new video. As always, you are knowledgeable and always cool
the least venting will be most efficient. seems a nice lil unit.
Very thorough, awesome review! Thanks Joseph!
Nice unit!
You can use the battery port from the delta 2 max to the wave 2 to lower warts being used and have a longer run time on the Wave 2
Wow game changer.. so nice to see you
Thank you for sharing 🤙
Definitely something to consider 🤔
Stay safe and well out there everyone 🙏 ❤️ 🤙✌️
Amazing 🎉 KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! 🎉
Looks like a nice unit. Enjoy your evening. Hope all is well with you. Take Care.
So glad to see you Joseph. Sounds like a good a/c. As always really good video. tyvm ❤😊
Thanks sharing Joseph ❤❤that was awesome ❤❤❤
Ohhh to have one in summers where its 105 F average. Looks pretty cool Joseph, thanks!
I had another 12 volt ac. It kinda worked. The venting was fun. I try to vent through the floor where my back seats where replaced. Id love to see it incorporate in minivan some how now moving out reconnecting. Thank you for video
Very tempting….great review vid.
Cool!! I was thinking of it
Hello Joseph...its good to see you. Thanks for the review.
Safe and happy travels. Sending much love back. ❤
Looks good.
Very cool! This could help so many folks :)
I tried out the Ecoflow Wave AC in Mark the Paint Guy's van last August. It took up too much space in the mini van. I also vented it out the side window of the Odyssey and didn't make any new holes in the van.
Great video
Glad to see you back and looking forward to seeing more videos when you get around to it. Just an idea. What if you used dryer vents with the covering, put fly screen on the intake and spaced the vents apart. You could keep the rain and flies out. Windows shades would also help with keeping the sun out and keeping the cool in. Take care
Kool product great video. I can see myself getting one...
It would be interesting to try to make a permanent installation with vents through the van wall.
Thank you for the video!!
Your welcome
20-24c is best for cooling an area 16c is cold.
Awesome. And music was awesome
I’d like to see Eco make it so it’ll stop running when it reaches temp like a central air unit in a normal house
You say it’s cooling but you did not mention what the outside temperature was. Anything can cool at 70 degrees but what about on 100 degrees days?
Nothing can beat a diesel heater in my opinion. Very efficient
Sweet! Think it needs a screen or cover over the outside vent tubes tho
Herd some good things about the eco flow A/C in the US👍
First time seeing this product and it looked pretty cool. Good to see your totally sik looking van again. I think the heating function should work better, just try it with a full battery next time.
I’m curious how the battery pack life would have been, wish they provided it to you. Thank you for sharing.
Kinda cool the template isnt the right size for that style of window. The hoses needs guards and screens to hold it in better and to cover the ducts from items and debris from being sucked in. They should have sent the whole kit so ya can do a review on all of the system. But love the vid
Good video Joseph and great explanation! Good to see you back! What are your plans this summer anything special? Like build your bank account back up? 👍😉 Take care. See you soon.
Joseph...😮😮😮CALL CHROME, EMO AND SLL IF YOUR VANLIFERS BUDDUED. THA AC US THE BEST. CHROME NEEDS ONE 😢😢LIKE RIGHT NOW...😅😅FOR CRUZZIE..WE ❤❤ HAVE BEEN MISSING YOU A LOT.
Nice size, I bought AC and 5 heaters for $2200 less.
Yeah. I wish I would have waited for the newer versions. I have the first one that came out.
Twice as big…….. But I did get a pretty good preorder deal w/ the battery.
Getting close to purchasing a diesel style heater that runs on gasoline. Due to the cost being around $1600. I was wondering if this device would be a better all-around option. This video entered that question for me.
👋🙂👍Neat idea and a good review.
Whyyyyy am I walking around clucking like a chicken now ?!? 1🤔 "BA--CAWWWW !!!!"
🌴 thanks for the Eco review. I was looking for wattage usage. I have 1000w Jackery💚I'll do more search👍
So if you use the wave 2 with the battery pack or their power station with the DC XT150 cable. The power draw will be as low as 250 watts to 300 watts. This AC is really meant to operate on DC rather than AC power.
I own and have used the Wave 1 in a Lance 850 truck camper for 2 solid winters in the Florida Keys. Average daytime temps are mid 70’s and night time is in the high 60’s.
My typical wattage while under peak load during daytime is 500 watts. However during mornings, late afternoons and evenings it typically draws ~325 watts.
@@FRZNTYM1 i like my Wave /, but I really hate the overall design. I wish they had kept the shape of the Wave 1
I think it’s great. I have not seen a product like that in the States. I like the packaging or dispenser. Would you share the brand?
I would strongly recommend separating the exhaust and intake tubes I don't think you want it's sucking up the hot air but I could be wrong does it have a recommendation on how to space them
Hi Joseph, what is the current consumption in AC eco mode ?
The AC lead
why it’s different to mine ??
Yours as a a socket for the AC to plug into the side of the wave2
Mines dose not unplugged from the wave2
Would it be more efficient for the air intake not going outside ..trying to cool.or heat outside air
Seems it would work in a box truck best.
The problem I be found is that the heat coming from the hoses is quite a bit. They do make insulation sleeves.
Good you advertise this product for money. I don't need it but realize the ad helps utubers.
Whats your suspension setup for the added weight? Just curious?
I think it would be more efficient cooling if the hoses were insulated preventing any heat in the hoses from radiating into your van
👋🙌 Hiya Mr. Wild (feels self feeling very guilty to not have been by all so often as of late) ... I realized today that I am certain I missed your spring chicken - 45th bday congrats🎉🎊!!
Unlike me, but am certain you survived hehe. Hope you had a fun time with some peeps and some great food. May this next turn around the sun be just as FAB as you . . . continued best.(Let us just kick this message back to Apr. 19th shall we, haha). I have catching up to do I know ... continued best from one of, ever growing in popularity, Salish Sea mermaids🧜♀🏊♀ 🥽
If u can get an extra battery get it for your delta unit, the portable battery doesn’t last very long
Does it need an extra battery or Delta 2 or does it have one built in?
kewl cooler
Put some Flex seal on that cardboard and call it a night.
Don't you think if you would have had it pointing towards the bigger part of the van it may have circulated a little better and not recirculating the air that's blowing out just a thought😊
How big is your power inverter?
I want a van like that how do i do it?
This seems pretty efficient. My zerobreeze is 2300 BTUs which just takes the edge off in a small space but only uses 200w on average. Do you know how many watts this uses on average for cooling such as on eco mode?
I think it was around 177.
@@3quartersbull4 the zerobreeze? Yeah I think that was exactly where it was
Cover cardboard with duck tape
How much did you pay 💰 for your ???
Off topic but can you tell me about the tissue or wipe dispenser hanging on your drivers seat?
I use those to clean up and sometimes pick my nose. 😂
That's really odd they didn't give you the DC cord. That's where it would shine.
Exactly
Loud would drown out outside noises. That would bother me ore.
This phines are putting me on medications.. What I meant to say w: tell Chrome, Emi and all your vanlifers friends.
Def NOT like a mini split my friend
Stupidly expensive. And wait until summer temperatures are here, that won't keep you cool. Sure it works fine when temps are already below 25
❤️🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼
🙏🙏😘😘❤❤🙏🙏❤❤👍👍
