Fragrance was a huge trigger for my migraines. I switched out literally ALL my products from laundry detergent, body wash, no perfume and wall plugins. I started doing a deep dive into the world of synthetic fragrance and the problems it’s associated with.

If Ellie has any dental implants (fillings, crowns, etc.), she could be allergic to the metals! An old coworker of mine went to a homeopathic dentist who took all the metal out and she was relieved of her allergies/migraines!!

True but now they use something different now but if she was allergic I think it would be more serious then just headaches but good point

This is SO true. I’m older than Ellie, and I had some old mercury fillings. My teeth made me very incredibly ill. Migraines…they thought I had MS. It was awful. Got them removed and my issues went away. Until I was diagnosed with cancer, but that’s another story. Lol… I’m praying she gets rid of them someway, somehow. Migraines are the absolute worst. TMJ could be the problem, but I would think they would have known she had TMJ already.

We always kept our babies names a surprise, so we didn't get people's opinions or rude comments about them. There's just something different about once the baby is born and already named, it seems like that helps.

I suffer from migraines (runs in my family) and I had TMJ and orthognathic surgery. It is surgery to fix your upper jaw (maxilla) and/or your lower jaw (mandible) when they don't line up. This greatly helped in the muscle spams I was getting from an uneven bite but in no way helped with my organic migraine issues.

I always mention my sinus surgery to people who suffer migraines, because I too had no idea that that was the root of it all. It was never suggested EVER. The surgery was to both correct a horribly deviated septum that in turn created major sinus pressure and blockage within my cheeks. It’s been 12 years and I have never once gotten another migraine. Strong headaches, because I still don’t drain well, sure! But never got a migraine ever again.
My point in sharing that is that there are for sure other reasons for migraines that totally get looked over and are never considered.

Ellie, you can get Iron Infusions and they are covered under insurance if you are anemic and regular iron is not keeping your iron up. Also, B12 levels effect your Iron level. If your B12 is not medium to the high level of normal, your Iron level will lower quickly. I know this because I deal with this due to aplastic anemia. I know, you know, the bleeding after pregnancy increases your chances of anemia.

I was diagnosed with chronic migraine disorder when I was 12. The only thing I've ever found to work was Zofran 8mg as soon as your head starts to hurt.
I get headaches that literally feel like the back of my head is going to blow up. In 2018 I was diagnosed with MS. If I have to live with these the rest of my life, I can't handle that.
In regards to cold sores, be very careful as they're super contagious & if your babies get them, they'll have them the rest of their lives. I use 800mg Acyclovir for cold sores. As soon as your lip starts to itch, take 2. Then take one daily until your lip no longer itches. Typically it won't pop out.

I have had migraines since childhood but they were under control (1 every 2-3 years), until I was diagnosed with Sjorgrens (causes dry eyes). Then the migraines increased more than I have ever had them. Apparently dry eyes can cause you to get migraines due to the pain pathways being similar. Using eye gel at night and drops in the daytime has helped greatly. I also take omega3 - Nutrasea dry eye. My migraines have dropped down to one every month or 6 weeks and the intervals are lengthening as time goes by. Maybe check into dry eye issues / try eye drops?

Do you still have your wisdom teeth? A teen I know just got hers removed to see if it would help with her migraines. Don’t know yet if it’s helped, she just got them out 2 days ago.

My sister had migraine like forever.. Tried everything under the sun. Someone recommended getting her teeth checked.. she did, couldn't find anything. Went to a different dentist and he found that her headaches come from her teeth. Not sure if you will even see this.

Also she found out she has to stay away from garlic. That was also a trigger for her migraines

If your jaw masseter muscles are strong and tight, might consider Botox. Known to help with headaches.
