Welcome to today's vlog! If you don't see us tomorrow... well, it's because we're still cleaning SOMETHING, or the baby is here, or something else. 🤣 I hope you guys have a wonderful NYE, thank you for being with us all year long and we will see you guys in 2023!!
If you want your AC/Heater to last longer then change your filters every 3 months. In the spring and summer I do mine monthly. Buy your filters in bulk they are much cheaper that way. The reason I change them so much in spring/summer is it really helps with my migraines and allergies. The less dust and stuff the better!
Especially with pets, it should really be done once a month if you have pets. Coming from my dad who’s been an A/C tech for longer than I’ve been alive 🤣
My husband changes it about every 3 months. We only have the one though near the furnace. I hope Ellie is doing well and everyone in the Mecham family are enjoying the time together.
I'm so beyond grateful for you two, the Derus, the Griffiths, and of course the Holleins. I struggle severely with ptsd and have heavy depression. Most days i cant get out of bed. You all make it easier and give me the inspiration to continue. no words can describe how grateful i am for you all.
My husband works in A/C and refrigeration and YES! you must change your filters every 3 months. If not the coil gets dirty and will freeze up. This in turn will cause your system to shut down or leak into the drain pan. (I think I got that right.)
Not sure if you guys have thought about this, but here’s a helpful tip that I started doing: I set a reoccurring event in my phone for once a month titled “Change AC filters.” I set it to alert me once per month so that way I never forget!
You two are so funny. I laughed so hard today and loved this video. I love to see you two being so open and normal as far as your humor and what you are saying. I am so anxious to see this sweet little girl, but Jared, I will keep praying for you to have your two more weeks. 😊.
That happened to me 2 days before I went into labor with my third!!! I had puking and diarrhea for 2 days straight and then the third day, my water broke at 3am and I went into labor! Ahh!! Good luck!! So excited for you!!
Ellie and Jared, I can not wait for baby girl Mecham to come, I am so excited for your family, I hope you can let that little girl bake a little longer but I bet the boys are so excited, I can't wait to see there excitement, it's going to be awesome, CONGRATULATIONS AND HAPPY NEWS YEAR EVE AND MAYBE YOU WILL HAVE THE FIRST BABY OF 2023.
You guy’s are too funny today. I change my filters monthly. Makes a big difference. She’s nesting for sure. I bet the baby is here in a week. Stay happy. Hugs, love and prayers your way. Happy New Years!
In a new construction you should be changing the filter every 1-2 months for the first year to get all the left over construction dust and sentiment. Then every 3 months after that. Could help with sinuses and headaches alittle
Such a fun vlog!! Yes we do change our filters every 90 days in Naples Fl... . We buy them by the case from Amazon!! So excited for your family!!!!!! Happy New!!
Yes Jared, we change our 2 HVAC filters every 3 months. We have 1 unit in the attic, & 1 unit in the basement & my hubby is great about getting it done. We also have our HVAC system inspected 2x a year, @ the beginning of Fall & Spring. During that inspection the HVAC guy replaces the filters for us so my hubby only has to do it 2x a year. We use a high quality/allergy 😊type filter from Lowes. Replacing the filters is important for the performance of the HVAC system & it really helps keep down the dust in the house.
I took a long break from watching any vlogs but going back to watching you guys has given me the happiest feeling ! So excited to follow along when Ellie has baby girl ! (I’ve been watching since you got pregnant with Jackson ) ❤🎉
My husband is the maintainer in our house as far as filters and stuff like that goes. I maintain the cleanliness and clutter. He does the other big stuff. Buuuuut he changes our air filters every 4-6 weeks….he’s compulsive 😂 but I love him!
1 1/2 centimeters dilated making progress not quite there yet, but your getting there Ellie! I hope you and your family have a Happy New Year!❤️ I see that your doing the baby name reveal tomorrow can’t wait to hear her beautiful name she’s going to be so cute🥰💕
@@annabanabanana I know that feeling, I was the same with my eldest, then she came the next day, 41+1. But my 2nd I was 4.5cms and he stayed put for another week
My husband is an HVAC tech and especially if you have animals it’s SOOO important to change your filters every 3 months! (Health reasons and also to ensure your system stays healthy 😊)
We change our filters every three months. We have a lot of allergies in our house and it makes a big difference. It keeps the dust down significantly by changing them that regularly.
Filter wise - We do once before summer, and once at the end. (2x a year.) So May and Sept. If super smoking, every 2 months in summer. (Canada.) for the furnace. We have another one that gets pulled out for something or other (new house) and needs to just be washed it tub every 6 months.. Its for the inside house-air system circulation something or other...
I use Second Nature for filters. They automatically send you a filter every 3,4,6 months (you choose) so I don’t have to remember. They’re good quality too and I’ve used them at least 5 years. I wouldn’t remember otherwise
We recently started changing ours regularly because our AC kept freezing up. This video is hilarious right now so I am glad to see you are getting ready. Can't wait for more.
Our HVAC company said to buy the cheapest filters available and to change them monthly! This is the best way to keep your HVAC system operating at peak performance!
My dads owns his own HVAC company. He always taught me to change the filters monthly. Do I? No lol Love seeing your dynamic together. Ellie we love you!
Yes, you should change your filters every month. It is better for your health and your HVAC health. Cheaper than new units, especially with the chain supply issues.
We change ours every 3 months. Our climate company said it was best not to use the filters for allergens. Use the everyday filters and your AC/furnace will last longer. Happy New Year!
I live in Texas where we run the air conditioner for about 7 months out of the twelve. We were advised t change our filters every month for the unit to cool and heat efficiently.
Happy New Years Eve! My name guess is Evelyn. Always smile when I watch your videos and so excited to help you welcome Baby Girl to the world when the time comes!
My waters starting leaking at 37 weeks, baby boy was born 2 days later! All healthy but a tiny little thing and we were able to go straight home💙 Good luck, Ellie!
You’re gonna LOVE those frida ice packs! I tried the “diy padsicles” and they were too cold at first and then didn’t stay cool long enough. Fridas were perfect and lasted.

I was born 5 1/2 weeks early…. 59 years ago (tomorrow is my birthday). Medical technology has improved so much since then, so if baby girl comes early I think she’ll be ok. You’ve got this 👍🏻👌🏻🫶🏻❤️😁. And Happy New Year too 🍾🥂🎊🎉🎈🎆
I work at an ac company and it should be changed monthly. You can maybe get away with 3 months but with pets and if running it all the time its 1 month. The rule is when you pay your light bill you want to change the filters.
Love you guys so much happy new year ❤!!!!Can't wait to see baby girl praying 🙏🏻 for a healthy pregnancy delivery and I know your going to be Just fine love you ellie and Jared so much !!!!!!!❤
I live in a hot dusty climate in CA, so I change my vent filters usually 3 times a year. Once at the beginning of the hot season (may?) then in July, and again at the end of the hot weather (Oct).
I change mine every three months. I was taught that when my furnace stopped working and it was because the filter was a year old and clogged up the the furnace and I had no heat😮

Jared, Time to get an addition to Elli’s stackable Mother’s ring that you got for her as a xmas gift a couple years ago!!!
You can actually cause issues to the furnace if you don’t change filters😂 We are very routine around here!

Definitely need to change the filter. Our builder told us to change after 3 months from the new build & then yrly.
Happy New Year guys!!!
