I big chopped 2 years ago and really, I wish that I had kept my hair at that length. It was easy, short cute, curly and sassy. Now I'm dealing with heat damaged hair that I only pull into a ponytail. Prior to the heat damage, I did two strand twists and with the amount of hair I have it was exhausting. Sometimes less is better..
I’ve been using Aphogee protein treatments in my hair since I was a child. I love it! I used it too much when I was transitioning from relaxer to natural but once I balanced the moisture and protein in my hair it was cool.
Oils do not grow your hair . Yess it can nourish your hair and seal in moisture which can help with the process of hair growth but it’s not the key to any and everything. Things like moisturizers, leave-in conditioners, and good shampoos help with hair growth. Oil is just a good way to keep in moisture. So just oiling your scalp with nothing on it isn’t doing much of anything.
Hey you guys ! I just started my starter loc journey and have been posting content with my locs. Check it out & send positive energy 🖤
Yesss everything especially the shampooing!!!! Unclogged hair follicles+ moister+sealant+ protective styling+maintenance = Hair growth period!!
Wait shampooing really is key. It helps your hair more than people think.
How so? It doesn’t dry it out with all the additives?
Im 8m into this journey, choped at 7m & this is around the length im at rn actually! In that awkward stage. Cant wait for it to grow out!!

There are moisturizing oils & essential oils that promote hair growth. I can speak for me and say for sure essential oils promote my hair growth .
