thank you all so much for the support!! i'm glad you enjoy some notes i have found post release: 14:57 - just meant to say "championships", not "super bowls". The Super Bowl wasn't even invented till like 90 seconds later! 16:20 - the line should cover the Baltimore Colts, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers (not the Bengals). they were the only 3 "original NFL" teams that were in the AFC. Just an editing mistake not stretching the line out far enough.
The USFL lawsuit showing a picture of Trump was hilarious. (for those not aware, Trump did in fact own a USFL team after no NFL owner would sell to him. He would later try to buy the Bills in 2014 but got rejected. Had he owned an NFL team it's unlikely he would have ever run for President in the first place).
It's always interesting to see other creators try on Bill's style, you stuck with it pretty well while still having your own distinct twist on it. Learned more than a couple things as well. Great vid!
When other teams were going to big cities, the Packers just decided to become a publicly owned team, and let anyone buy "stock" in the team. That, along with their wild success, is why they were able to stay in a tiny city
6:38 I’m a Bears fan and that is so terrible to know our legendary owner George Halas was the main person pushing this and what a coincidence that is this unofficial segregation era directly benefited his team to winning four championships and going to six I believe in that span.
God this was SOO GOOD. You playfully articulate Bill Wurtz while making the video your own, and it really makes for a fun and informative time. You have incredible talent!
Some feedback: Not everything has to be a jingle, an example being the stuff at 14:00-14:25 could have been just normal saying stuff like "Owners: 'What are you gonna do start a Union?' .... So they made a union". The harmonies/chords on the jingles don't sound very good, I would suggest spending a bit more time on them. Also I think the history spent too much time in the early years and I think you could have sped it up a bit to keep things moving along. Otherwise this is a good video and I actually learned a couple things I didn't know about the early days of the NFL.
No, the term "gridiron" began earlier than the crosshatch period of football fields. It started in 1882, as soon as the lines every 5 yards were marked.
sort of but not technically... the triangles had a long congested history of changing names and cities, and in 1952, they were the Dallas Texans. That team folded, and almost all of its players and assets were sent to the Baltimore Colts (soon to be Indy Colts). it's important to note, the Texans team did not just relocate to Baltimore - it was an entirely new team that they just gave their players to. So they aren't the same team exactly, but the Colts can definetly trace their lineage back to the Triangles. If you like the triangles though, you'll love an upcoming video of mine
I feel like if you maybe watched some Urinating Tree videos, you could maybe find a better template to poke fun at football history. I like your Bill Wurtz take its just Bill's videos were more situated towards world history and that how most of history is dark and depressing because of wars, diseases, genocides, and such and how humanity went through a lot just to get to where we are now presently. So Bill tries to lighten it up with puns, jokes, and jingles, I would too, it makes for a better video. I feel with sports it could be more interesting if you could let loose and just say how a team is or was. Maybe with a few swears along the way. Anyway good video hope it does well,
Fun fact that is not actually where the term grid iron it comes from the current field looking like a literal gridiron. An object used to cook things other open flames or ovens
Just letting you know, as a Native American, don’t be scared to use the word redskin, it’s simply a name given to a chief of a tribe, isn’t supposed to be anything racist
I wish you would have talked about Kenny Washington integrating the NFL on the Rams, especially with the connections to Jackie Robinson (they were teammates at UCLA)
Green Bay was the only NFL team that didn't play in an MLB city despite only the Cardinals and Eagles were the only ones that weren't named after one identically are in relation. At 1934 there were; Bears & Cubs, Lions & Tigers, Redskins & Red Sox. Then there's the Pirates, then Steelers, Giants, and Reds.
Next do history of each team in the nfl. 32 video ideas right there. Stretch it out to release one each month. 3 years worth of content right there babbbyyyyy
The original NFL occurred for one season in 1902 when the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Athletics, and Pittsburgh Pirates all claimed to be the true champions of baseball. To decide this, they decided each to form a football team and create the first National Football League (completely in Pennsylvania). Pittsburgh won
this is true and an awesome little story. unfortunately that “original nfl” had no ties or connections to the modern league, other than coincidentally sharing the same name.
A couple of corrections: 1.The packers never won 3 superbowls in a row, they won tue championship in 1965 then the foest too superbowls in 66' and 67'. The difference is the suoerbowl was against the best AFL team and the NFL championship became equivalent to the conference championships today 2. @16:25 the steelers went from the NFC (formerly NFL) to the AFC (formerly AFL), not the bengals
thank you all so much for the support!! i'm glad you enjoy

haven't seen anything, message me on Instagram!! hayden.quilty@@ReidTheRulesGuy
Great job man❤
Fun fact: the Arizona Cardinals are older than the state of Arizona.
and then when you get to a state like Alaska, there are about 12 teams older than the State of Alaska.
that is awesome!!
Yet they still haven’t won a championship…
@@OwnFall420 they won in 1925 and 1947 they just haven't won in the super bowl era
@@ocularzombie6679But Alaska doesn’t have a professional sports team in it older than it.

Toney had the mention but it got dropped
he ain't worth a mention

Best? He literally is the only WR who lines up in the neutral zone 💀

God damnit Buffalo
Buffalo should've taken one for the team
Buffalo was probably hesitant after drafting OJ and likely being responsible for the Kardashians 😬
Buffalo sold
fucking finally someone actually tried to be bill wurtz
what do you mean
@@serraramayfield9230 a lot of people will title their videos “the history of ___ I guess” and not attempt to replicate the vibe of the original video

Yep. And they still are publicly owned. An old classmate of mine would go to the shareholders dinner with his dad every year in Green Bay
@@RogueJyn thats awesome, I bet they were served hella cheese
They very nearly folded early on in their existence and were bailed out by the owner of the Bears.

With a league of just 6 teams its probably wasnt hard. I mean the packers won 3 in a row. Now they are a garbage heap of an nfl team.
I loved seeing this in bill wurtz's style with your own twist. Great job!!
What twist? Guy copied everything, word for word bar for bar
@@SuperEagles97 what are you talking about bro it's literally impossible to that, he just followed his format not the the script
@@wolfythewolf4457 im still looking for the twist you 🤡

"A bunch of white guys". You gonna do Jim Thorpe dirty like that? The first president of the NFL? The original GOAT? Member of the Sac and Fox Nation?
This is super underrated. Great job. Hope you upload more vids and stuff!

Green Bay did not win 3 Super Bowls in a row. They won 3 NFL CHAMPIONSHIPS in a row
As an Ohioan i'm honored for the NFL to be started in Canton I have been to the Hall of Fame its so cool!
10:54 was hilarious with the screen shakes lol
obligatory eagles reference, i’m happy
I don't care if its unofficial, the Colts are the successor to the Dayton Triangles and you can't change my mind 😤
The Dayton Triangles are the Indianapolis Colts. Wish this vid did a better job showing that journey.

I appreciate the tribute, but it’s trying just a little too hard to be Bill Wurtz.
Yeah bill wurtz is like a psycho when it comes to sound, when someone try’s to recreate it sounds horrible, other then that good concept
Nah it’s a banger video yall are crazy

Wow, this is excellently crafted.
That was really good. You did Wurtz style well!
and for clarification- the whole reason why there aren't 82 games a season is player safety. and probably because that'd be like over a year long.
Plenty of people have cribbed the title of that Bill Wurtz video, but few actually carry out the homage beyond that. I'm glad you did. Nice stuff
If you made editing faster and talking faster this would feel like a bill wurtz vid

The Bill Wurtz style doesn't really work without the background in Music to be honest, but great attempt and great video!
