Thank you SO SO SO much. I am in the process of trying to learn how to make my own sublimation designs and this tutorial was absolutely perfect and easy to follow. I do hope I see more videos like this!
I'm glad I ran across one of your videos. I went to your page and I ran across so many videos that are great tutorials. I just got into sublimation not too long ago and have been wanting to make my own designs. Your video was so easy to follow especially for a beginner. You've got a new subscriber now 😁. Thank you!
I like the distressed digital wood paper you picked none of the ones I picked have that swishy look they are all just backgrounds I went to digital distressed paper
This was a great video. Have not seen you before. Started sublimating about mo or so ago. I subscribed & looking forward to binging your videos & watching for new ones. What a fun Maker craft. You really explain things well & lol not to fast not too slow. Thank you.☺
I get all of my papers from Creative Fabrica. Here's a link where you can try it out for just $1. www.creativefabrica.com/promo/3017/EFGHIJKLMNO/ref/235589/
How did you get them into different folders so there easier to find in your files? Yours is so organized. Can this be done in any other programs such as affinity designer or Affinity photo?
I do all the folders on my PC. When I download files I create a new folder for them or sort them into folders I've already created on my desktop. Then when I need to insert something into a design I can just go right to the folder I need.
Wow, thanks so much for all this information. You have helped me heaps. Loved 🥰 your tutorial and will be checking your other ones. Cheers TraceyBartlettArt
I created my own designs and even printed others files. They are all to dark. How can I adjust that? I tried CF purple agate and its darker then what my computer shows
I love your tutorial and I am following everything you have done up to where you go to object/cut/set and mine turns white, I can see the lines but no pattern=(
Hi Tina, sorry I'm just now responding to this! Depending on the membership you get some things will be free and some won't. If you get the all access membership everything is included. You won't be charged for anything you download with the all access membership.
@@CrystalsCrafties I can't find the thick ones like you used all the brushstrokes i see are thin and dont have the distressed look like the ones you used
Make sure you're using a .png file and not a .jpg file. If you can't find one that's .png you can remove it but it's a bit more complicated. I don't have any specific videos showing how but I'm sure you can search and find some. Maybe I need to make one... :)
When I search svg file on creative fabrica they often are not svg. Is there another secret? I went to what looks like your same bleached look brushstroke and when I download it it is a png. Not sure what I’m doing wrong
Yeah, there is so much stuff on Creative Fabrica sometimes you'll get png listings mixed in with SVG. There is a simple way to convert the png to svg in inkscape. I'll make a tutorial on how to do it. If the png has a lot of detail it gets more complicated but for those brush strokes it's really easy and will work perfectly for what you're trying to do.
HELP PLEASE i dont know what im doing wrong this didnt work for me i followed and watched this 100xs and as soon as i go to object clip set , The pictures disappear and turns BLANK. darn its
@@CrystalsCrafties Same for me. So I went and paid for the digital paper on the website above, downloaded some and tried that way...still the same thing. I now have the same files you used, and i am importing a PNG file on top of that. I also tried the same image as an SVG, and JPG....still goes all white. :(
Some things to check: First make sure your SVG file is on top of the digital paper. Make sure you are selecting both the digital paper and the SVG file together and then clicking "object, clip, set". If it is still not working it it because your SVG file is in separate parts. This gets a little more complicated but you can fix it by clicking your SVG file and then going to "object, ungroup". This should break the SVG file into multiple parts. Once it is ungrouped you will then select all the parts and go to "Path, unite" or "path, combine". This should turn your SVG file into one part and then you can fill it with the digital paper.
Your videos are so informative and can be followed by this dummy without a problem. Please please make more Inkscape videos.

So another question...In creating this type of file can this (for Example) be uploaded to like Etsy and ready for purchase by someone for sublimation?
Yes! Just make sure you're saving in a high resolution and that you're saving the "selection" only and not the whole page.
Will you please share a link so that we can purchase the svg brush strokes that you used in the video?
Sure, I've put the link below.

Did you figure out what was causing this? I am having the same problem! I cannot figure out how to fix it.
Me too 😭
If they say the files are $5.00 are they still free with membership
What subscription do you recommend?
I have the all access subscription but it really just depends on what you use the most as to which one is best for you.
if you want to put a txt on it would you do that in inkscape as well?
Yes, you can also use the text feature in Inkscape to add text.
@@CrystalsCrafties when I do clip and set my work disappears
If I get the membership for creative fabrica if it shows say $10 is it still free for people who have memberships

when on click on your links everything downloaded as a jpg, how do you get the svg
The links for this are all PNG since this design is meant for sublimation.
Where did you find all your distressed backrgounds?
Here's a link to the backgrounds.

same and i cant figure out why
Mine is doing the same

This will only work if the object you're wanting to fill with the pattern is a path (it has to have nodes) and the pattern is an image.
