I love the honesty of this channel. Some people aren’t looking for reviews of “it’s amazing” or “it’s fast”. you talk about categories trail riders want and not just what’s the fastest or best in mud
Coming from the sports car and race bike worlds I much prefer the personal control of the gearbox!!! Plus I love the scream and wine of the yxz engine and gearbox!!!
So basically if you want a RZR, but don't want it to catch fire or live in a service department, go with the KRX. If you want an MX bike with a steering wheel go with the YXZ. If you want the smoothest, most refined all-rounder that lasts forever, go with the Talon.
@@rodneyburke2202 I'm curious as to how? Same rpm, more moving parts to keep in spec. If a parallel has proper secondary balance shafts it should be feasible to last the same as a triple or 4 cylinder.
I ride woods and high speed rough terrain and I own a 17 yxz se stick. I ride with all cvt machines and everyone always wants to ride shotgun in my rig. Grabbing gears and high rpm slides really makes you feel like ken block in a crazy rally car. Such a drivers machine! I like the stiffer shocks on my yxz, great handling and predictable, easy to slide the ass out without crazy body roll. And it can handle some huge ditch jumps without bottoming... Yamaha really made these yxz's for people looking for an adrenaline rush!
I’ve driven all three off road so I’ll try to simplify things. KRX is a soft heavy rock crawler. YXZ is the fastest and most exciting. Talon is the bridge between the two.

If you want the fastest, the KRX isn't it. If you want the most durable and the most capable, it IS. I absolutely LOVE mine. The steering feels fantastic to me. And the aftermarket will fix the "soft" clutching.
I went with a 2021 yxz1000r base. Never looking back. Super fun machine. Tons of people see it and want a ride. It never gets old hearing "omg its a manual".
My vote would be for the Kawasaki. The suspension is hands down the best of the 3. The clutch engages so smooth compared to a Rzr. The build quality is amazing, everything is so beefy!! Also you won’t find a better stock tire/wheel combo on the market. The only major downside to the krx is the price because it is so new. I can get a talon r for almost $3000 cheaper.
In Alabama the talon is 23000 vs 20800 on the krx and besides if you want speed the krx runs 70 and they are in the process of making a turbo for it and the cvt in it is very similar to the Yamaha ATVs that have cvt the way everything engages
I have a2016 yxz1000r after running a rzr for 3 years I can’t see where people are coming from when they say the gearing is to tall, I have had no problems going anywhere I could go in my cvt rzr , in fact to drive a yxz you have to be very coordinated with hands and feet but that just makes it more fun, or the other way to drive the yxz is just be brutal and brave and my god does it reward you, my yxz is stock gearing and stock tyres and has survived 1500 miles of abuse and never broken, never left me stranded unlike cvt machines which just smoke belts when it gets wet and muddy So as you have probably guessed it’s YXZ for me every time
Agreed.Over 3k on my 16se stock clutch no issues. I prefer a clutch and cover thet same terrain.Never needed to crawl it.The power and speed is there.Nothing better than rowing the gears...To each his own and I'm impressed with how they have all stepped up...Great machones.
I have a 2017 ss that's torn down to put the 2019 gears in the trans so I can go to a bigger tire. But so far 400 miles of fun and flying through everything my buddies in rzrs crawl over
@@gwood701 yes the auto trans in the Grizzly and Kodiak are tanks. I have a 450 and a 700 EPS Kodiaks which I ride like sport quads on trails plus use around the property. I love the 2" receiver hitch on the 700 too. I pull a 200 lbs aerator and haul a 15 gal sprayer like they aren't there. I'm thinking about getting the New YXZ1000R SS XT-R but if I don't I will get the CanAm Maverick X3 Turbo.
@@cyaw11 Buy the Can-Am!!! Trust me when I tell you that out of ALL the machines out there, it just seems to be much more thought out and ergonomically comfortable!!! Buy a 72" XRS RR model. 194HP which is BONKERS, and you get the best suspension with the longest travel in the industry!!! The MAJOR selling point though is just the reliability of their drivetrains.... Regardless of anyone's opinion, the Rotax motors are HANDS DOWN the BEST motors in the sidexside/ATV world!!! That's why Aprilia, BMW (F and G series), Buell and KTM ALL use BRPs (Can-Ams) Rotax engines. They know how to build a motor that is EXTREMELY reliable even when they are super high strung and revving to 15k+ RPM and still lasting for 100k miles with nothing more than basic maintenance. So when its only revving to 8k RPM, the durability is just insane!!! They also have the most comfortable cabins for 2 and 4 seaters. Their center console divides the driver and passengers so that when your cornering hard, the passenger is not being leaned and slung into the drivers area. Plus their low gear for crawling and mud saves the belt better than any other company. Essentially they are the BEST in the business in EVERY category. Sure Polaris has their super cool electronically controlled suspension. But the shocks that come on these things now a days are so damn good you shouldn't need to adjust it. Just make sure that you call Fox and have them help you tune the shocks to your riding style. Because out of the box they are set up terribly lol. I REALLY REALLY wish Can-Am would get back into the motorcycle game. For the short time they produced dirt bikes, they were easily the best bikes on the market. And Im sure if they dove into the dirt bike market again, they would be the kings once again!!!
@@raymondnewbill5294 the maverick X3 x rs turbo rr (long dumb name like Impreza wrx STi type c) is $28k while dealers around me are selling the yxz for $15k... not really comparable even at the $9k msrp difference. . Now I love the X3. The smart diff is great and the power is incredible. In low it crawls so easily over huge rocks and rips in high. . The belt whine and lag is annoying. The engine stays at 5k rpm everywhere even when you are going 4mph. Gets annoying and is really loud. . For the price I’d go with a yxz and call it a day. Throw in a clutch upgrade and the new units come with gear reduction already installed.
I own a 2016 yxz and love it, hands down the fastest side by side, but sucks in the rocks since the 1st gear is so high and the 5 speed manual. If you want a fast, smooth riding side by side for the dunes or track or wide open dirt roads its great
You must not appreciate your kidneys... The talon had the WORST suspension and it can't be fixed. The krx as trophy truck suspension. Look up shocktherapyst.com/ you'll be glad you did.
Thanks Steven. TFL wins with your reviews. The Kawasaki would be my pick based off your reviews here. I am not thrilled with CVT's. However, IF I were to be in a Side by Side for all the pro's you mentioned, it would be the winner.
After sitting in all 3 at the dealership, and looking the machines over for design and build, here's the order I'd buy them in: 1) Kawasaki 2) Yamaha 3) Honda
Older video but I purchased a 2016 (new) 3 years ago.. and 3200 miles ago.. and even with the Weller turbo running 8 pounds of boost the last 2 years.. its been dead nuts 100% bulletproof. Still running the stock, factory clutch (manual transmission with 3 pedals..).
I have owned two YXZ's, I cannot get enough of it. I drove a KRX in Moab a few months back for several hours. My first SXS was a Teryx T4, so I have to try the KRX. Overall, I was disappointed. The cab was hot, there were squeaks and rattles, the quality fit and finish was lacking compared to Yamaha, and it did not handle near as well as my 2019 YXZ SS SE. After I was done riding, my body hurt which tells me the suspension may have more wheel travel, but I could feel the bumps for sure. I do have 32's on my YXZ, but the rest is stock and the ride is much much better than the KRX. I had the KRX clickers set on the softest settings, too. The KRX is a rock crawler, but In Utah you need a good all around machine desert, dunes, rocks, mountains, etc. I will keep my YXZ. The fun factor is off the charts!
I owned a 2013 Teryx T4 that I modified quite a bit. I sold her off and bought my 2017 YXZ with the GTYR gear reduction kit. For me, the upgrade is astronomical !! My friend has the KRX 4-seater with the cool (don't know the name) shift on the fly shock settings. Super smooth and plush, yes.... But like you, I actually LOVE my YXZ more. The non-drivers and the haters truly don't know what they're missing with these machines. Ride Safe !!!
After watching and listening to Steve's opinions and figures,..I'd change my order of preference; Kawasaki is No. 1, Yamaha is no. 2 and then Honda. But these are my choices , you're may differ entirely and this is why it's great to have choices here in the market places.
Good review. I wish you talked a little more about the transmissions because you didn't really talk about how the Talon also has a high and low range. I think it's also worth mentioning that the Talon is the only one without a front locker. Instead, it applies the brakes to the slipping front wheel
Important features. I’ve read reviews where it says you only get a 40% gear reduction (1.67:1) on the talon and that it’s not too useful. The lack of locker is also important, but low end X3s don’t come with a front locker and are the same price.
I own a Yamaha, but all three of these machines are purely awesome. Finally giving more options than Polaris and Can Am with decades of reputation behind them.
does it haul a decent amout of ass? i had a polaris and i topped out around 90mph i want a Kawasaki next but i want to make sure its as fast as my polaris was
Joe Brito it does honestly..but where it REALLY shines is hill and rock climbing and slower environments. My uncle has one for that purpose. I recently got the 20’ talon R and it’s a mixed between both worlds. My parent’s 17 YXZ is alll VERY fast pace and SPEED
Seraphim Valkyrin I agree!!! Not really sure what the markup is on these units but I bet it’s over double which is ridiculous. I build custom furniture and all I charge is materials and labor and nothing else. I want my things to affordable for the normal working joe cause that’s what a majority of us are .
Finally the video I have been searching for!! I’m trying so hard to decide which machine I want to buy for riding exclusively in central WV. As another reply stated, I love the honesty you put into your videos. I subscribed months ago when I first began my search to your channel, and I have been waiting for this video. Your conclusion of the YXZ being your choice for east coast riding was not what I wanted to hear, but came as no surprise. I have always been a Honda or Kawasaki man and want either to be a top choice. However, leaving my wishes out of it, I am going to go with the best machine. In all my research I am beginning to see a trend developing. The Honda has nice fit and finish, but seems to just be what you’d expect from the manufacturer; a strong but conservative choice. The Kawasaki is beefy and well built, but big and slower. The YXZ is adequately built, but simply more fun to drive than the other two. Is this a fair assessment? It would have been nice to also see the Polaris XP1000 and the Can Am Maverick Sport X XC included in this comparison. I would love to hear where you feel those two machines fall into the ranking for WV type trail riding. I need to be wowed, but also not have it fall apart the first time I bang something. I am turning 50 in a month and have ridden ATVs only for 30 years, but I’m making the transition to SXS’s. Thank you so much for your work.
Scott Moss well dont get polaris or can am if you want your machine to last more than 5 years. If u dont care and u want to buy a machine every 5 years buy one of them. The thrill of shifting with the yamaha will wear off very fast. The cvt is by far the best transmisson for off roading but it takes attention to detail to run one and not have it break on you. In my opinion i would choose the honda. It takes a lil to get used to slow speed its very jerky and if tbis guy is saying the yamaha is worst than honda for jerky it would be way way to much for me. I have a kawsaki bruteforce and a krx. I also have a honda pioneer and a rubicon. I would choose the honda just because i know it will be reliable and last 20 years if you change oils once a year and wash the machine and keep it in a garage. My bruteforce is ten years old and it still runs good but u cant beat honda. My second choice would be the krx. I like the 3 cylinder on yamaha and hope kawi and honda put one in a quad soon or in their sxs but that will never happen. We are stuck with parallel twins i love my bruteforce vtwin i wish the krx did a turbo 1000 vtwin i would buy it in a second
Gsfbffx Pdhhdf Thank you for sharing your opinion. After months of deliberation I believe I have decided on either the KRX or the Talon. I agree with all your points. I’ve learned that the KRX might be heavier and slightly slower, but with beefier build and bigger tire and wheel combo, it will be. I like the looks of the KRX better than the Talon. Somehow the Talon seems unfinished looking to me. However, like you said, I know if I go Honda it will still be working 20 years from now. I would love to hear your thoughts specifically on these two machines since you have the KRX and recommend the Talon.
I always look hard at specs, but its where you ride that has to drive your decision. Wheelbase and suspension and low end power for Eastern Pennsylvania. I even look at where you can mount a rifle rack and strap a deer to the back as well for those two weeks out of the year. Everyone in my camp says to get a utility machine. But I want to just ride the other 50 weeks in a year.
Im in wayne county and picked up a yamaha x2 so I could use it for yard work and hunting but also trail riding on my property. Good balance. Has a dump bed but bucket seats for staying planted going fast.
That's perfect kept my yxz and bought a wolverine x2 for home use and a toy I can crawl with my yxz is a 17 ss too zero problems and been all over always gets job done just have to take a different approach
The Honda Talon R definitely my first then the Kawasaki because the best suspension travel . Not the Yamaha I don’t like the style but love the RPM sound
Kyle Scott Well typical stuff spraying fences Feeding horses taking fuel or parts to the equipment In the field I bought a carrier rack that goes in the receiver I go get firewood with it I also have a Kawasaki mule 3010 I cut in 1/2 Because it had been on fire wasn’t worth fixing so I use the back half now as a Trailer I pull that behind the Talon If I need it. The Talon is great For spraying fences being able to select what gear you’re in is very nice For spraying I usually keep it in first gear low range I have added a second battery so if I need that extra reserve capacity Running the electric sprayer I have it
There’s no comparison between these. The KRX is by far the best one. It’s suspension geometry is world class while both the other two are among the worst you can find in a sport SxS. I’d rate the engine in the Talon better but unless all you’re doing is racing on a flat road, it won’t be very useful when your rear end is bucking like a wild bronco.
Thanks for the video man. Great job describing everything. Currently stuck between a YXZ and a KRX. Although this video didn’t make my decision, it more confirmed what I was thinking.
bought a 2019 yxz 1000r ss se and absolutely love it, hands down the most agile sxs ive ever been in. and ive been riding off road parks for the past 8 years.
@JOLO93 I have the same sxs you have, and hands down, I love it too. It hauls ass and the handling imo is spot on. I use mine in the desert of Arizona. It reminds me of a motocross bike, only with 4 wheels.
Reviews aside, which you always do a great job on btw, any real sxs enthusiast would probably prefer to own all 3 of the above as well as a rzr, maverick and wildcat. I know I'd personally have at least 2 or 3 if they didn't cost half of what they do. Talon X currently for the riding style in my neck of the woods and it's been a beast so far.
Love your guys reviews always have been a Yamaha fan but this helped me a lot just Bought yxz1000r ss se last Saturday and I love it this thing Rips through the trails climbing hills it does it all yes it is a bit of a rougher ride then my brothers Kawasaki but man this machine is something else there is no feeling like it if you like that raul power it is definitely the way to go Just for the feeling but the smoothness of the Kawasaki is amazing
Str8Sketchy you need to adjust the high/low speed rebound and dampening on your Yammy and it will get A LOT more comfortable. Pretty much every sidexside on the market has terrible suspension settings out of the box!!! Call up Fox and tell them what kinda riding you do and how you want it to feel. They will help you adjust it so that you can get the comfort your looking for and the handling you like.
HELL My 98 toyota 4runner was 68 inches wide. Had 10 inches of clearance. 180hp V6. High n low range. 31 inch tires. AND IT LASTED 460 000km!! I wanna see a side by side last that long! If there asking Automotive prices. I want AUTOMOTIVE longevity!! AND I DID take it on all the Local ATV TRAILS! Through swamps. AND COULD DRIVE IT ON the ROAD!
I Live in Prescott Valley AZ. I have the Krx 1000 . Great vehicle for the rides out here. Such a smooth vehicle. Moved to 32 ich tires. Performs Amazing. Highly recommend this vehicle.
The Talon X would be my first choice, mainly due to smoothness and comfort in the trails, followed closely by the Yamaha, but in all honesty, for the same price, I'd buy a RZR XP Turbo or an X3 Turbo R. The Japanese SxS are just too expensive compared to their American competitors, or they lack a lot in the power department at the same price...
OG1 can the Pioneer 1000 Deluxe get a better suspension to make it more fun offroad? I need a SXS for my land but I can’t swing buying two separate machines and the DCT to me is clearly the best for working
The reason they're more expensive is because they're actually reliable. Every time my buddies go out in their can ams, and Polaris' they're getting winched back up on the trailers with something broke on em.
@Beast Tough absolutely! Both brands. I went into a local can am/Polaris dealer a few weeks ago. I asked approximately how many miles will either brand last being well maintained? They replied, 7-8000 miles... they wont even take them in on trade with over 8000, cuz they're essentially shot. 15-20000$ for 8000 miles??? I'll stick with my 8000$ atv thanks
I bought the yamaha yxz first year out... Im still enjoying the crap out of it......Absolutely no issues. The clutch is still strong and there is nothing like making that tripple scream throught the gears....Im looking for a second machine for the family but have not found one that makes me smile like the YXZ...Might just get a second with the paddle shift...
I just bought a 2020 yxz xtr here in canada I was waiting for the first review on youtube. I was hoping you pick the yamaha and you did it's a fantastic machine but the slow speed driving around the yard or loading and unloading it's not smooth at all .but happy to have one . Nice review 👍
Honda because I need a 4 seater. If it was just me and the wife I'd choose a YXZ1000r. I love that it's the only one that offers a fully manual clutch.
I am a Honda automotive tech..I hate cvt transmissions, so I am out on the Kawasaki though I love the looks of it the best and the bed is the most useful.
Great video. I"m in the market but I still can't decide for sure. I doubt one could go wrong choosing any one of these machines made by well known and trusted manufacturers. Seems to come down to personal preference and what you're going to do with it. I live in southern Idaho where we have equal access to both forests, mountains and desert. I'm definitely taking my time to decide.
I bought my krx last week she isntvfast but it didn’t get stuck and my friends in there Polaris did when we went rode Royal blue in Tennessee last week not sure I will go there again until it dries out I’m not in to the mud and rutted out trails so far the 40 miles I have the krx I love it
I own a 2020 yxz and it pushes about 210hp. It can handle trails amazing and frickin hauls. It's a raw machine but thats what's so fun, you can feel everything.
I own a 2017 YXZ SS. I have to say, I drive the thing with perma-grin !! I have the GTYR gear reduction, so my top end is down to 70mph, but the seat of the pants feeling at lower speeds than that is unreal. That rear end breaks loose on a hard downshift and drifts like a Rally car. Plus, the gear reduction gives me the rock crawling chops I want (here in Arizona). Truth be told, I wish I had some more technologically advanced shocks on the thing (because I'm lazy and want to adjust on the fly), but the shocks are easy enough to change, tailoring the ride. Down the line (far down the line), when I look to upgrade, I admit I'll look at everything out there and compare it to my budget. That being said, my top contender is a YXZ, though next time, I'd buy the aftermarket CRAWLBOX. Gives me the two-speed transfer case, so I have the best of both worlds. Despite the features that lag behind the other models, the rider experience is second to none. You truly have to drive one to understand it. I'm also the kind of guy that likes things that not everyone else has. The YXZ has a dedicated following, but it's certainly not what most go for. For me, it was the price, bang for the buck, and then I was (more than) pleasantly surprised at how much I really love this machine !! Ride safe, everybody and thanx for reading, if you made it this far.
I bet that Talon X would be a nice machine on the tight trails here in central PA. Probably wouldn't have to wrench on it as much as the Polaris and CanAm ones either.
Having a triple in my street bike, its unreal how the triples can make great horsepower but still be torque monsters. Yamaha makes an amazing 900 triple in their mt-09.
The KRX would be my choice. It has the best suspension and bang for the buck. Sure it’s heavier but it is not going to break. Kawasaki did their homework and I believe it is the best all around machine for the riding I’ll be doing.
as a huge fan of the yxz from the east coast, i am surprised you chose the yxz over the terx for the woods. yxz seems to be best on open terrain like the west coast has. plus who can resist banging gears,
I love my Z, the best part is that because nobody knows how to drive standard I got my 16 brand new, 0 miles in 2016 for 14k. I could buy 2 Z's for what one turbo RZR or X3 costs. That's a lot of money for upgrades. Stock it only gets beat by the X3 by 2 car lengths, I'm very happy with it, over 1000 miles with no issues unlike Kawasaki. I ride 95% sand dunes, if I was doing trails or rocks I would get the Kawi, even though they are having a bunch of problems, I think they will be resolved by Kawi.
when im in my x4, its " wheres my beer?". The yxz... what phone, beer... nope to busy hitting this jump. yxz is the most fun i have had since vegas driving the mclaren around the track. the question is do you want to blast through nature, or stop and enjoy it. yxz = adrenaline rush, x4 or cvt = take it easy, enjoy your cruising. if you ride in a group of razors, the yxz is not for you, unless you have the "i will lead, you try and keep up" attitude. The yxz seems to turn everything into a high speed run, its not even on purpose, it just happens. my recomendaton buy a yxz and a krx..... or if you cant make up your mind get the honda.
All three seem like fun machines. $20k is no joke though. Both my cars together barely reach $20k value. Lol. I would like to drive that talon though seems to be the middle of the pack machine.
Was really hoping Kawasaki would get on board and build a shifter.... Love the machine otherwise.Just bored with the golf cart drive after shifting..The added element cant be matched in what it brings to the experience.Dont think a guy would go wrong buying any of them including can am, textron and polaris . All have stepped up the game.We are all different as drivers and preferences so it good to still see differences in the utv market.
I would agree, except the KRX definitely needs a tune. Without monster whoops the sport will wipe the floor with it on the top end. I may be a bit biased but I think the Sport RC would be a better buy. It's faster, and has better rock crawling modes. Everything the Kawasaki wants to be, it needs to be a turbo and over 150Hp.
Yxz all the way you open up that three cylinder Motor with a turbo or supercharger that thing a monster. krx is to tall and big and tip heavy plus if I wanted cvt drive I would just buy a razer
I love the honesty of this channel. Some people aren’t looking for reviews of “it’s amazing” or “it’s fast”. you talk about categories trail riders want and not just what’s the fastest or best in mud
Daniel Fryman shut up krx is best

If you want a fast, smooth riding side by side for the dunes or track or wide open dirt roads its great
Talon R would be my first choice. No cvt and the most important intangible asset is reliability.... I love all 3 machines....
CVT is not the KRXs strong point but it dominates both other machines in everything else. A belt literally takes 10 minutes to change anyway.
@@SpeeeedyG Dominates both other machines in everything else? The KRX is awesome but slow compared to the other two.
Talon has had plenty of issues since inception. I would go KRX for reliability.
You must not appreciate your kidneys... The talon had the WORST suspension and it can't be fixed. The krx as trophy truck suspension. Look up shocktherapyst.com/ you'll be glad you did.
Plus Kawasaki REALLY takes care of you on when things break.
Thanks Steven. TFL wins with your reviews. The Kawasaki would be my pick based off your reviews here. I am not thrilled with CVT's. However, IF I were to be in a Side by Side for all the pro's you mentioned, it would be the winner.
IMO:
1) Talon
2) KRX
3) YXZ
but… my opinion doesn’t really matter.
The Yamaha is pretty awesome. They are all good machines but I like the YXZ
👍
After watching and listening to Steve's opinions and figures,..I'd change my order of preference; Kawasaki is No. 1, Yamaha is no. 2 and then Honda. But these are my choices , you're may differ entirely and this is why it's great to have choices here in the market places.
I prefer to ride rather than drive, but that KRX looks like a great way to tackle some of those big ledges in Moab.
Well, I'm ordering a 2021 Yamaha YXZ1000R XT-R. I'm in love.
Been missing Stevens SxS reviews lately! Out of these three id have to go with Kawi! Another good video!
How is the Yamaha in trails?
I love my krx and its amazing in the woods and mud and a few hill climbs
does it haul a decent amout of ass?
i had a polaris and i topped out around 90mph
i want a Kawasaki next but i want to make sure its as fast as my polaris was
Joe Brito it does honestly..but where it REALLY shines is hill and rock climbing and slower environments. My uncle has one for that purpose. I recently got the 20’ talon R and it’s a mixed between both worlds. My parent’s 17 YXZ is alll VERY fast pace and SPEED
Joe Brito it’s slow and fat. I traded mine for the Talon R.
I'm just bummed that they cost almost as much as a car.
Seraphim Valkyrin I agree!!! Not really sure what the markup is on these units but I bet it’s over double which is ridiculous. I build custom furniture and all I charge is materials and labor and nothing else. I want my things to affordable for the normal working joe cause that’s what a majority of us are .
If you're on a budget, Tractor Supply has some decent 700cc side by sides for less than half the price of these!
sideskraft I have a 13 800 rzr that still runs good .
more than a car
Gotta pay to play
Razor is what you need
I always look hard at specs, but its where you ride that has to drive your decision. Wheelbase and suspension and low end power for Eastern Pennsylvania. I even look at where you can mount a rifle rack and strap a deer to the back as well for those two weeks out of the year. Everyone in my camp says to get a utility machine. But I want to just ride the other 50 weeks in a year.
Im in wayne county and picked up a yamaha x2 so I could use it for yard work and hunting but also trail riding on my property. Good balance. Has a dump bed but bucket seats for staying planted going fast.
I have to go with the Kawi. All that ground clearance, travel and rock crawling sold me.
I have owned a 17 Yxz ss and currently own a krx and a talon r. The best way I could sum it up is if the yxz and krx had a baby it would be a talon.
This is perfect. I sell Honda Kawasaki and I'm definitely using this one 😂
That's perfect kept my yxz and bought a wolverine x2 for home use and a toy I can crawl with my yxz is a 17 ss too zero problems and been all over always gets job done just have to take a different approach
If you could only have 1 which would it be
Good review, i like the KRX with the 31" tires.
KRX still has the best designed suspension! Ask shock therapy 👍🏽
The Honda Talon R definitely my first then the Kawasaki because the best suspension travel . Not the Yamaha I don’t like the style but love the RPM sound
I love my Honda Talon I use it for everything Around the farm And also on the trails
How do you use your Honda Talon around the farm?
Kyle Scott Well typical stuff spraying fences Feeding horses taking fuel or parts to the equipment In the field I bought a carrier rack that goes in the receiver I go get firewood with it I also have a Kawasaki mule 3010 I cut in 1/2 Because it had been on fire wasn’t worth fixing so I use the back half now as a Trailer I pull that behind the Talon If I need it. The Talon is great For spraying fences being able to select what gear you’re in is very nice For spraying I usually keep it in first gear low range I have added a second battery so if I need that extra reserve capacity Running the electric sprayer I have it
Kyle Scott This is my RUclips channel also I share a lot of my Talon videos on this channel
ruclips.net/video/3N-oYlgim8I/видео.html
Great comparison, thank you! I am mostly a desert rider and am seriously thinking about the Kawasaki!, I am currently a Wildcat rider, and I love it.
i like everything about the krx,but the talon would work better for my riding area.
KRX is the overall best built side-by-side to date.
Nooo.
I saw a krx the other day with the front end completely blown out. Definitely not the best
Hands down it's hard to decide what to get yxz or Kawasaki
Str8Sketchy just bought the xtr with gear reduction and turbo love it
Str8Sketchy you need to adjust the
high/low speed rebound and dampening on your Yammy and it will get A LOT more comfortable.
For top trails in Talladega and the over all southeast I'd chose the kawi definitely.
Scott Johnson no u idiot its to wide the yami is better
@@gsfbffxpdhhdf7043 LMAO ! Kawi wasn't the widest, and unless you're driving on the side of a cliff, a couple of inches shouldn't matter ....idiot
I Live in Prescott Valley AZ. I have the Krx 1000 . Great vehicle for the rides out here. Such a smooth vehicle. Moved to 32 ich tires. Performs Amazing. Highly recommend this vehicle.
I’ll take the YXZ for the dunes, I’ll take the Talon for day rides with the kids, and I’ll take the Kawie for rock crawling.
Same
Bad Dealer what about mudding
@@danielbarrios7420 the krx for mudding, tires/ride height and trans are more fit for mud/water
@@mattbrew11 the Polaris General is a good compromise. Belt driven but good suspension and able to do some work
The reason they're more expensive is because they're actually reliable. Every time my buddies go out in their can ams, and Polaris' they're getting winched back up on the trailers with something broke on em.
@Beast Tough and I really dont see either polaris, or can am being "cheaper" in equivalent trim packages
Man that KRX is a good looking machine
I like anything that doesn’t have a belt
so you like fat old men in suspenders?!
You guys should talk about RELIABILITY. For that kind of money, you'd think that would be on the top of everyone's mind.
Can-Am has the best reliability out of all of them. Their drivetrains are basically bullet proof with regular maintenance!!!
Was hoping to see all 3 machines together. Kinda disappointed to see basically a recap review.
I own the YXZ and its a blast, wouldn't trade it for anything.
I bought my krx last week she isntvfast but it didn’t get stuck and my friends in there Polaris did when we went rode Royal blue in Tennessee last week not sure I will go there again until it dries out I’m not in to the mud and rutted out trails so far the 40 miles I have the krx I love it
I think the yxz is my favorite because I love a fun rough ride and pulling gears
I own a 2020 yxz and it pushes about 210hp. It can handle trails amazing and frickin hauls. It's a raw machine but thats what's so fun, you can feel everything.
Do another review once you are able to get them all together for a real side by side comparison!
That KRX is one bad looking machine
Too bad it's a spud
I have a 2019 yamaha yxz and it is an amazing machine 👏
Just got a 2020 agreed
Ride safe, everybody and thanx for reading, if you made it this far.
hopefully Kawasaki adds the 1000cc to the Teryx-4 as that would be what I would be most interested in.
How bout a 1000 BF!
2019+ yxz are the go to .. fully forged motors ready for turbo.. better gear ratio..bigger brakes..my 21 yxz is a blast...no complaints.
Thanks for the reviews was leaning towards the Tallon. But may take a hard look at yamaha
A 270 degree fired twin hooks up better.
Just to do maintenance or work on the vehicle no one comments on this. The Yamaha is my choice hands down. Thanks for the comparison.
Excellent review!! Apparently Yamaha didn't notice that Tracker (Textron/Arctic Cat) has the XTR1000 machine before they named the YXZ - XTR model!
The tracker will be gone soon
You have a great chuckle Steven!!
I have both the YXZ and Wolverine X4. Yamaha's fit and quality is fantastic!

Before I watch Stephen's video,...my choice and answer to the question is, No. 1 Yamaha, No. 2 Kawasaki,...Then No.3, Honda,..maybe!

I agree finally brought a Yamaha after owning rzr's and a can am rode my buddies honda a few times but the yxz by far my favorite
Yamaha forever baby!! The YXZ kicks ass and not to mention the only factory optional turbo out of the 3!
Did you check or adjust suspension settings? I don't see how you can critique suspension without checking/adjusting settings...
when im in my x4, its " wheres my beer?". The yxz... what phone, beer... nope to busy hitting this jump. yxz is the most fun i have had since vegas driving the mclaren around the track. the question is do you want to blast through nature, or stop and enjoy it. yxz = adrenaline rush, x4 or cvt = take it easy, enjoy your cruising. if you ride in a group of razors, the yxz is not for you, unless you have the "i will lead, you try and keep up" attitude. The yxz seems to turn everything into a high speed run, its not even on purpose, it just happens. my recomendaton buy a yxz and a krx..... or if you cant make up your mind get the honda.
Honda with the turbo and 32 inch tires.
john kraft my buddy has 33s on his stock talon. Barely any power loss. It’s crazy.
HONDA
I'd have to go with the KRX. Durable, reliable, comfortable along with the smoothness of the CVT. However, it depends on what you're looking for.
It’s monster coming up rocks hills an any hills general
Krx is so underrated very good peformance and plenty of power and only starting at 19 k such a steal
Those things are turds
I'll would go with the Kawasaki. Weight of should mean it built to last. Then Yamaha. Then the ugliest SxS out there the Talon besides the p500.
TEAM GREEN 💪👍
Great review! first unbiased review i've found.
I’m sure you extensive time behind the wheel of both right?
Talon!!!
Still feel the wildcat XX should have been included in this segment.
Absolutely, but I think Textron makes it hard for people to get demos. Not the greatest at marketing. I love my XX though.
This was about the 3 Japanese options. Wildcat is made in USA.
TheColson79 the wildcat literally has the same motor as the Yamaha.
Yes I’m aware it has the same motor but it’s still assembled in MN. At the beginning of the video the state they are comparing Japanese made UTV’s.
I thought you were gonna pick the Honda at the end for trails!
Yxz all the way you open up that three cylinder Motor with a turbo or supercharger that thing a monster. krx is to tall and big and tip heavy plus if I wanted cvt drive I would just buy a razer
After manny video and expert info the kawa is the best under cam am and polaris
