Bank 1 or bank 2 refers to which side of the engine. Not the catalytic converter. One cylinder head will be farther forward than the other. That has cylinder #1. Forward head is bank 1. On this acadia with a transverse engine, the forward head is against the firewall. So bank 2 is by the radiator
Well, something that works very well in these cars sometimes causes this failure is that the air filter is clogged and causes more gasoline injection which causes more catalytic gases which causes the catalytic lights to come on. The first thing is to change the air filter and in a quarter tank of gas, put a divine catalytic like Cataclin and Beran which in most cases works very well.
I’m getting intermittent lean codes bank one and two after stop and go city driving. P0172 and P0175. Would this commonly be an O2 sensor replacement fix.
Hey man. Thanks for taking the time to explain the locations. Did you put the spacers on the downstream sensors because you were having efficiency codes come up? P0420 and P0430? If so did the one spacer solve it?
Hey Jackson. Yes the spacers I got from the auto parts work for Me for the po420 to pass inspection. You have to delete the code and put the spacers on and after a week the check engine light will go away and that's is when you take your car immediately to do the inspection.
@@Parcerito4ever 😆. Appreciate the reply . since then the cats went bad so I just gutted all 3 and the car is running that way. Check engine lights on but it will do.
@Jackson Cruz Oh ok. Sorry about the late reply. I was using this all account for RUclips. And + I just discovered it worked because the first time I did it I didn't leave the spacers on so much time. I thought that the light will go away as soon as I put the spacers on but no. It will take about a week.
Bank 1 sensor 1 is a pain in the neck for a 2010 enclave < but thanks to you I know exactly which ones are which. Thanks

It is an excellent explanation and it is also for the Buick Enclave since it is the same engine.

Thanks for this video bro. I needed to find Bank 1 downstream, and you got me there spot on. Appreciate it it.
Sadly the mechanic couldn't get it off, even with a blowtorch. Might need to get a new piece of pipe and replace that second of the bend.
Glad I could help
Thank you so much for explaining this. Very helpful video 👍❤
Where is the camshaft sensor bank 2 position A located on a 2012 GMC Acadia sle
Thank for your help. Don’t mind the negative Nancy’s.
VERY helpful. Thanks brother 👍

Perfect explanation 👍

@Cody Trenton ummm no

My cat bank 2 was replace 5 months ago but now I got the code again that says to replace cat bank 2.
Did you put an extension on the oxygen sensor to pass the emission?😂
Why there is an extension on sensor 2 bank 1?
Thank you you help me a lot
Happy to help

Never worked on my 2014 acadia
@@KO-ku6rm Yeah, Cats were toast. I took all of them off and punched them out. Been driving the car like that. Check engine is on but drives well.
