Hello Moe! Thanks so much for creating this tutorial! I am a former Adobe Photoshop user trying to use a less expensive alternative for my planner obsession! Question: How can I change all the color of my box do I have to create a whole new box? TIA!
just select the 1.5 x 1.9 inch square and use the color picker on the side to change the color. You can choose from the color wheel or enter a hex code for a specific color. If you don't see the color picker on the right, from the top menu choose object>fill and stroke. The color wheel should show up on the right hand side the. Hope that helps. :)
Love love this video. I tried to save as a plain SVG and all my colors got lost. Should I have not saved this way. BTW can't wait to watch what else you have. I was able to change the colors as I am editing this post.
I have a question! I’m trying to create those ombré boxes...the first one turned great but the others the colors are lightest to darkest instead of darkest to lightest. I can’t figure out how to fix it! I’ve rewinded the video so many times to follow your EXACT instructions...can’t figure it out. Btw, I’m a new sub & you are by far my favorite!
I was having the same problem, too. She changed the smaller boxes white, so they are not the original color, which makes the boxes lighten instead of darken.
We could import a heart from the web too, correct? Even tho it's cool you taught how to make one in here. I'd never figure out how to do that on my own so thank you. I've been binge watching your vids the last two days:) guess I need a sticker for that now right? Lol
You actually gave me an idea to make a sticker for when I upload! lol, Yes, you should be able to import a PNG image of a heart into InkScape. I've imported images before. You won't be able to change the color though. Thanks for your support!
Yep! Inkscape is a free illustration program - you don't need any cutting machine to use this program. I will have a tutorial up later this week (fingers crossed!) that will show you how to put all of these elements into a sticker sheet. Then you can print it how you wish or save as a PDF, etc. Good idea for a video.
I'm getting lost. The Inkscape file is in svg format, so what's the purpose of exporting it to png, since we'll need to do the additional work of tracing png. If you have the Silhouette paid version, it can open svg and cut file easily. Is that right? 😂
hmmmm, I can add it to the list! When installed the program and opened it for the first time...this is just what showed up! I will try to see how the program is set up and share.
This is awesome. I now use Inkscape for all my sticker sheets instead of building them in Cricut Design Space. You are genius!
Thank you!!!! I have been slowly learning how to use Inkscape to use with my cricut and this umbre tutorial was fantastic!!!!
You have such great tips!!! Thanks!!
great video Moe! thanks for sharing. your tutorials are one of the reasons I'm going ahead and purchasing my own silhouette ☺
Yay!! So happy you're inspired to be creative :)
Love ur videos super helpful as always this is a huge money saved as well
Yay! Glad they helped :) :)
great help. best way is to make the square 1/2 the size of the circle and align it top and right. Select and union... All done.

Hi Moe, Thanks for the awesome videos! Quick question, do you recommend canvas or inkscape for sticker making and why? xo
This was so awesome and helpful! Thank you so much!!
Uber helpful as always! 😀

mind-=blown! Thank you so much!
How did it auto-ombre for you? Was it continously applying 20% opacity on each successive box?
So helpful! Thank you.
you are so helpful!:D

I'm having the same problem, at the end she goes so fast i can't keep up even after watching it multiple times I can't figure it out

I’m in the same boat 😭 I can’t get them to go from darkest to lighter
Thank for this! I just use a heart and a circle to make teardrops.
Yes! Good tip too! Thanks for watching :)

can this be done for the maker?
Yes, I am using the maker
I don't have a cutting machine can I still use this program...or do you have a tutorial on this?

Can you do a video on how to set up Inkscape so that we see the same things on the screen that you do?

I'm totally lost how do you even get to the screen your on?
