Great one-year review. I’ve had mine for almost a year and I can attest to the built quality, amazing design, and overall package of this watch. I use it everyday and there isn’t a scratch on the crystal or bezel, the movement runs about -2 sec/day. And like you said, the bezel works just as good a year later as it did when I first got the watch
Baltic say they adjust the movement in-house themselves so if it's anything like my Marloe Morar as Marloe do the same, then you're looking at around +5s a day if even that. Highly accurate movement really and easily falls into COSC spec once adjusted by the OEM. I really want the blue gilt version as I have a blue Barton silicone strap that would be perfect so am just weighing up my options.
I can't decide between this and the Nodus Contrail II. Both have similar looks, the Baltic looks more elegant but the Nodus looks more sturdy with the crown guard.
How does the crown of your aquascaphe feel? I ask because mine feels too soft, it seems like it has no spring. It is not that it is damaged, it is simply that it is very soft, not like other crowns. I even have the aquascaphe sd01 and it feels a little more rigid. I think the resistance varies from watch to watch
good question: most of all so far timing my lunch breaks at work, set reminders on the bezel and keeping track of the pizza in the oven and the beer in the freezer. ;-)
What are your thoughts on the rotor noise? I've got a single Miyota and it's rotor is so annoyingly loud and rattly! My other ETA, Seiko and Orient movements are barely audible
Good question, while wearing the watch i never really noticed either an unpleasant sound or feeling. Very rarely, I can hear the rotor spinning when I take the watch off and put it down on a table or something. But generally I don't think it's any noisier than other watches.
I really wanted to love this watch but when I inspected it with high magnification lighted Jewelers glasses I noticed a lot of grease and gunk on the inside of the crystal. This combined with a really wobbly crown and a terrible bracelet clasp has me regretting my purchase.
Sorry to hear that, i can't say anything about the bracelet but with my watch i never had problems with the crown neither with cleanliness of the watch at all.
Here is the latest video about my Baltic Aquascaphe: ruclips.net/video/dTawZHZLDWU/видео.html

Hello, after one year, what's your opinion on it? :) thanks!

Good point about the polished part not being exposed to scratching.

Beautiful piece
I want this watch. Great video!
Great vid! I'm wondering about what you said at 2:30 about using the bezel every day. Like what kind of uses do you find for it?
good question: most of all so far timing my lunch breaks at work, set reminders on the bezel and keeping track of the pizza in the oven and the beer in the freezer. ;-)
The ar coating. Does it have any? Looks very reflective
Can't decide between this one and the blue gilt version
The Blue Gilt dial is absolutely stunning, as deep as ocean.
Blue gilt!!
You have a very good channel, mate! Keep the reviews coming.
Schwartz force brought me here, subbed and liked!
Where did you purchase this great looking vintage inspired time piece? I’m torn between this and the Lorier Neptune.
I bought it directly from baltic-watches.com
Got this watch on preorder can't wait to get mine
Thats cool, congratulations! I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it!
Details on the perlon strap?
Sure, its a 20mm, 2 Piece Eulit Palma Pacific strap.
A link to the strap is now pined as the first comment.
Great video! Subbed
Look like Omega Seamaster 300 Spectre edition.
and a vintage Blancpain 50 Fathoms, too.
