Have absolutely no need for a boot of this caliber in my life, but this was still awesome to watch.
the boots that almost nobody needs but everybody wants
This is one insane pair of golf boots!
Exactly what I was thinking.
FORE!
Football shoes
Definitely NOT for ballroom dancing....
beautiful BDSM shoes 😍
I used to log in the 80's and boots like these made all the difference. Cool to see how they were made. And yes, I miss logging.
True craftsmanship here. A pair of boots that will last a lifetime! Like the shoes our Great Great Grandparents wore, handmade and built tough to last.
Combination of an artist, mathematician and poet.
He makes patterns like a mathematician, finishes the gears like and artist of the highest order and in the whole process adds poetic beauty in his going into even the simplest.
No more words to describe.
Finally, a youtube shoemaker/bootmaker that doesn't skimp on the glue!
This is amazing. I want a pair of these and I don't even work in the rugged outdoors. What craftsmanship!!
Thank you for taking the time to film this and bring us this video, very interesting.
Thank you for sharing this. Very enjoyable to watch.
Nicely done, nice to see there is still craftsmanship being produced out there.
I've just found this channel.
Fantastic work, fantastic quality.
They need to improve qc before I would buy a pair.
Watched from start to end, very impressive and clean at the finish!
Imagine a Spartan Kick with one of these bad boys.
You'd never get the body off your foot.
I bet they hate it when he walks in to the bowling alley! Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.
Man, I love cobbling tools, pliers and a hammer in one!
Love all of your boots, no exceptions.
I spent eight years working for Pendleton woolen Mills making wool fabric
I really enjoyed it. I'd like to try this for a living. Very cool
Fantastic workmanship
When you have the right tools, machinery and accessories you can make anything look easy and effortless. Everything at your fingertips on down to all the cowhide. Love how they turned out especially with the two- toned colors. Was very soothing to watch.
Give me all that stuff and I guarantee it wouldn’t look easy and effortless, they have skills
Still need to know how to do it though. If have kitchen but don't know how to cook, same thing.
@@blauer2551 Give me those sewing machines and I can garantee you I'll be at the ER after sewing my hands together.
Impressive handwork, would love to have one pair of those boots
That's a hell of a boot!
Pretty cool. I had a pair of Cork/ logging boots when I worked on towing log booms with tugboats.
Quite a nice pair of Winter boots.
no need to fear slippin on ice anytime soon
11:29 is one of my most favorite parts of these videos. It's so satisfying to see them just effortlessly (most of the time) slice out that channel for the shank.
You should look up videos of farriers trimming horse and cow hooves. Very satisfying in a similar way.
The hoof gp douse a good job to
I'm wearing my trusty Kulien logger boots, but can appreciate these here Nick's boots as well.
Perfect for taking a stroll across a new gym floor.
I have a pair of Rockport Waterproof boots I bought in 1995 for $100, back when they used Gore-Tex lining. They are still like new, but to be fair they have received light use. I bought four similar pair during the same year and wore one or another pair daily until the soft soles and heels wore out. Had I known a cobbler shop I would have had them rebuilt. Alas, the three Rockport pairs I bought in the past ten years are not the same quality, neither in build nor materials, but they are comfortable, and two pair of sturdy loafers, one waterproof, have lasted about 3 years nearly daily wear. My point is that though quality has gone down since 1995, for most people some shoes and boots in the $100 range give decent value for the money, and I would buy them again. Few of us *need* handmade boots, though I understand the desire and the *want* factor completely. I hope there will always be a viable market for quality like Nick's Boots.
40 years topping trees and logging has taught me the value of quality boots.
Now I understand why the boots are priced as they are, quality all the way, beautiful finished product!
If I had my calks made again I would have asked for the lineman patch to not be added. Not necessary for choker setters and fallers. There’s no guys solely topping spar for the high lead anymore, least that I know of. Even hanging a block, your only in spurs every once and a while. Also I’d like a tricounie option
Amazing work! 👌👌👌
Honestly after 24 years of my life, I only thought spikey boots were only thing in cartoon 😅
The craftsmanship
nice work...
That leather die-cutting press is sweet.
👍👍 excellent job mate, I would certainly like to see these bad boys in Australia, brilliant work. Edit.. Thumbs up, liked. Cheers .
My wife loves it when you post caulks on RUclips
So she can stomp your balls???
True artists!!
Çok güzel sizi devamlı takip ediyorum Türkiye'den selamlar 41 yıldan beri ayakkabı dikimi işi ile uğraşıyorum
Got to get one of these..
You could kick ass, take names and chew bubblegun all at the same time with these boots! lol
What if I’m out of bubblegum?
Amazing
Rio de Janeiro- Brasil. Uma incrível oba de arte. Parabéns a todos vocês...
i love the craftsmanship in this video. honestly i need a really decent pair of handmade boots, do yall have options for a minimalist with a more true foot shaped toe box option available?
Well you've sold me I don't even work in the lumber industry and I still want a pair of those
How much traction do you want?
YES.
ideal boots for cricket or golf
There's something about logger boots ... even if you're not a logger, you want to become one just so you can wear these boots🤣
Badass🤜🏼🤛🏼🥾😎
I have Chippewa logging boots, I did as a side job with a few drinking buddies in the country part of conn. And western mass back about 12 years ago and these boots are still alive and kicking only think I didn't like is if you weren't careful you would twist your ankle(s) easily because of the height and narrowness of the soles. Mine are also steel toe which I wore daily and they never gave me a problem. I love those boots and will buy another pair as long as they're Chippewa logger. I didn't like the ones in the vid because the toes weren't full grain leather (they were suede) like the rest of the boot. My whole boot is made of the leather like the heel to top. Mine has also better insoles lol I rather mine
@@dawhoda1 That's not suede. It's turnout or the coarse side of the leather. It's just as tough and doesn't show wear as much.
Chique show 👍!!!
What a good looking timeless boot! Coming from PNW you gotta trust they know how to make a logging boot. Anyone I’ve ever met that wears this style boot (even without caulks) has been a bad sumbich.
Mean sumbitches for sure
so interesting !!!!!!
I'm sure your local greens keeper will love you!
awesome skill.)
Echt Klasse Arbeit.👍👍👍
Im buying a pair after seeing this, screw mass produced garbage I want the best, these are built like a tank!!!
All boots SHOULD be made like this.
There is more Nails in these boots than the Houses those Loggers make the Timber with.
The Boots looks Punk ❤️👍🤘
Harry: “HEY NICK…….NIIIIIICK!”
Nick:: “WHAAAT?”
Nice Ninja boots. Very deadly.
Never heard of y'all before, but now I gotta start saving up to replace my RedWings. Tell the guy at 25:55 that he has a beautiful patch 👌👌
Brilliant for walking on ice too
Honey, I think it is time to level up our CBT game!
I have an old pair of pliers like that, never knew what they were for.
Great for ingrown toenails too
I will need that for the zombie apocalypse
bought a pair of these last week, they're incredible. Tore the box open, strapped em on right away and dropkicked my grandma in the chest
Nice
Lysol nice
Dude what the fuck
Idiot!
I want to see the pix of the ass-kicking grandma laid on you.
On the coastal P NW their a necessity!
They're just as helpful on the east coast.
dang nice boots
super classno😎
That sewing machine seems so handy Imagine having to hand stitch all that lol.
I like how one of the bottles is just labeled as "maybe"
And the other one says “no”
The thumbnail. Reminds me of that outlaw dude from that one spungbub movie
Yo!!! It's the shoes that Dennis wears in the SpongeBob movie!!
Y’all know why I want some! Have absolutely no need for them. But you never know! Those boot will last forever!
Holy shit. When people get good at life they go there damn.
6:30 perfection...gotta add my own timestamp
Great wear for yard aerating as well. 😝
This those boots that Spongebob and Patrick almost got squished with
what happens to the leather waste scraps?
didn’t SpongeBob stand in that guys eyes with these?
do they come in black?
so much for the hand stich welt...
I want to save up and order a pair of your boots
Those would be great while itu camping in the woods or while walking on ice
“With these spiky cleats, anything is possible!”
Loved the video and the boots. But what happened to the sole at 25:15 - 25:20. It looks like it was cut away.
Optical illusion from that angle angle.
звучание работы мастерской , как оркестр. и каждого мастера-отдельно показали.
So that's what SpongeBob had on when he stepped on the guys eyes
reminds me of those boots spongebob and patrick were about to get stomped by
I'm genuinely curious, is there any practical benefit to having "inside-out" leather on the vamp/toe cap?
Yes! The rough-out leather is a lot more scratch resistant, so if you're working in a field with a ton of abrasives or things that could cut your boots the rough-out can take it and still look pristine
Bet it smells so awesome in there!
Like glue solvents probably.
Villain's boots on SpongeBob Movie 😂
I don’t need them but now I want a pair?
When are the lasts removed? That part wasn't shown.
28:18 only took a second.
You fools now I could make my own!
Size 16 no spikes?
What does Nicks do with their leather offcuts?
Wallets, keychains, sell to customers, etc.
Nice boots, definitely for logging or curb stomping depending on your profession.
The guy staining the wood heel is ballsy tho considering he could easily ruin the fabric having it not covered or protected.
This wastes a surprising amount of nails.
i was kind of surprised not seeing any press to join the layers of the sole
If you look close there is separation on the arch of one of the boots towards the end of the video.
Your body weight will do that part.
These boots remind me of the boots that the mercenary, Dennis from the SpongeBob Movie, wore. They look really nice though!
What is with the glue that said "maybe" and "No"??? @18:13
