    Понятно что кожа уже отжила свой срок, но подошва ботинок меня огорчила. Зачем ставить заводскую резиновую подошву без шипов которые выделяли обувь? Если переделывать , то не изменяя оригинал.

    Great work as always, but do you have to turn every boot into a pair of Nicks?
    It would have been cool to see the original hardware in reused, with a new leather sole instead of the vibram.
    I'm betting Viberg no longer makes boots this way, and to preserve that would have been cool.

    • @TylerSnyder305
      @TylerSnyder305 Год назад +1

      @@chrisunfocused I think what he means I just a resole instead of turning every boot into a nicks.
      They make great quality good looking boots, but these really had something cool about them that's gone now.
      The leather soles with toe plate and spikes...etc , and the years of honest wear on the vamp and counter cover.
      I get that it's not what they do, but the history of these boots could have been preserved and they'd have been so much cooler.

    @HakureiMikko Год назад

    That's pretty cool. Question, however, how come you stitch over the sole lugs? Seems quite fragile. I would assume running a knife through the lugs along the expected stitch pattern so the thread can rest in a trench would work better for longevity?

    • @moeck14
      @moeck14 Год назад

      The type of stitch is a lock stitch which combines thread from the top and bottom of the boot. Even if it wears away it is unlikely to come undone because of the locking thread. In addition, the glue is very unlikely to fail making a channel unnecessary

    While I admired watching the technical restoration process I was then surprised with negative emotions when I saw the placement of the new sole with Crosses as a pattern.
    Crosses under the sole?
    The one who will wear these marks will tread under his feet ... the Cross. Okay.
    Question.
    Are there no other design patterns for the soles? Why is the Cross chosen as a motif?
    Is there a specific reason?
    Where does this come from?
    Is it due to... ignorance?
    Either yes or no there is a lot of responsibility for it.
    I will say it more clearly so you can understand.
    If they put your or other countries flag as a pattern under the soles and people stepped on them wouldn't that be insulting and demeaning to the symbol of a nation of a people?
    Really if you put the islamic crescent as a pattern under the soles would you?
    I do not think...
    30 or 40 years ago there were no soles with Crosses under the feet for people to step on.
    I have to say that this unfortunately offends the faith of Christians insanely to the utmost degree as blasphemy, the Holy Cross of my faith as an Orthodox Christian as well.
    I wish you the best and all the best.
    I apologize for my English as it is from google translation.
