Because I spent months investigating this as a Sergeant (ret) within the DPD's Major Crimes Division and thats what the evidence told me. Eric, Tamara's "boyfriend," and victim, freely acknowledged to investigators that he believed he was the intended target. The 9 shots fired into Tamara's 4-door vehicle were from both the rear window and driverside rear door pillar/window. The bullets were angled toward the passanger side of the vehicle in which (Eric) was positioned. He was struck 5 times yet survied his injuries, Ms. Greene (shot 3 times) positioned in the driver seat of the vehicle succumbed to her injuries.
Prosecutor Kim Worthy's office received a arrest warrant request for Mr. King; however, the request was turned down due to insufficient evidence. Given the fact that Eric said he was unable to identify his assailant. Darren "Lil D" King did consent to have an polygraph examination conducted, but the results were mostly inconclusive probably given the fact he declined to answer specific inquiries on the advice of his lawyer. (FYI, Last I checked Darren "Lil D" King was incarcerated for attempted homicide in a unrelated case)

My father who is now dead was an absolute addict back in the day and he had a dealer who I know for a fact paid the Detroit police money to stay away from his street so he could continue to slang his poison. I even went to his house myself. The whole police department was absolutely filthy dirty and I’m sure many still are. I know this woman speaks truth and I hope she gets justice. They did it, I was there when the Kilpatrick detail brought her to Receiving Hospital. One of my employees was on a break she called me to come down from the lab when the detail pulled up. I went down and seen them for myself. Anyone that say that party didn't happen and Kilpatricks wife didn't assault her is lying their ass off!

The retired lady that opened interoffice mail at the time, timestamped and dated the incident report, then allowed everyone in the office at that station to read it. According to the report, Tamara had a broken arm. That clerk was interviewed on the news and said that she came forward because the police and the attorney general said the party was "urban legend". The clerk said they all saw the incident report when the police took Tamara from the mansion to the hospital.
Glad to see this getting out! I feel for her. My mom name was Green as well and she also passed in 2003 in this same city. I was 12 and my mom was in a car accident....come to find out the guy who hit her apparently had a father or someone he knew on the police Force and he didnt even get charged with anything. Whats right isnt always fair, being a victim doesn't make anyone else wrong because you were. I feel for this women, however I read up on the details of this case...There is a reason this case wasn't pursued, im being nice by saying it that way. She was so a victim of murder. I'm not in Detroit and I viewed her as a victim. A lot of people have been trying to get justice for Tamara. Kwame is as corrupt as they come, he didn't go to prison for nothing. And her life meant something no matter what she was doing. She was a mother it means something to her children, her parents, siblings and friends. No matter what you think. She deserves Justice.
