I've used watercolor paper for testing perfume and it works well! I use the thicker 140lb because that's what I've had around but I know for sure you can get a 90lb pad at target and I think that would work well too. Thicker than regular printer paper at any rate.
OMG that’s so smart. I have a mixed media sketchbook and I larger order from dossier on the way. Thanks for the tip!! I also have a sampler pack where they’re vials, sans sprayer. Considering getting a pack of the sample sized perfume sprayers via amazon to pour them all into. Just feel like I get a much better idea of a scent from a spritz than a dab…
Yes the not your baby to me smells so similar to jo Malone mimosa and cardamom, I absolutely love it!! I bought the travel size used all of it, then got a full bottle and only have about 3 or 4 wears left!! Crazy!! Lol!!! Great scent Sunday!!💕💕
i’ve gotten into perfumes because of you and was very interested in hearing about the phluid project scents!! thank you for your hard work on these videos 💗💗💗
Oh Lauren! WHAT HAVE YOU STARTED? I watched one of your fragrances videos a few weeks ago and suddenly I felt the urge to sample perfumes….and now, I sit in front of little pouches, sorting samples by seasons and reading notes on Fragrantica. I cannot stop! Your fault 😁
With some of these fragrances, you mentioned “this would smell nice on other people, but not me” and “I can see why other people like it, but it’s not for me.” I hope you come out with a video like that. Love from the spooky Pine Barrens in NJ
Have you ever thought about doing a vegan and cruelty free perfume video? You already have SOOO many (juliette has a gun, skylar, 7 virtues, sol de janeiro, phlur, pluid project, jlo, stella mccartney, ariana grande, and lots more) and I think it would be very helpful for many people!! Love this video as always 🥰
I’ve been getting into perfumes too and the discovery sets are so fun! Btw- I miss the pink hair but I’ve been loving all the hair styles you’ve been doing! The blonde suits you so much!!!
I love scent Sunday videos and am always interested in hearing about different fragrances from various brands!! Penhaligons is a brand I’m definitely interested in and would love to see a video about that!!
This video is perfect, I've been eyeing all of those sampler sets and can't wait to figure out which one will best suit my style. I adore the way you describe fragrance, its infectious!
Ooooh I love that you did all 3 sets. So fun! My brother and I sampled the Penhaligon’s set and it was quite the experience so I’m curious to hear your thoughts 🧐
I'm definitely tempted by sampler sets. I have a few different Sephora stores near me, but the Fashion valley one in San Diego has several of the scents I want to smell, so I'm thinking I need to go down there. Might help narrow down some choices. I'd like to get the samplers from kayali, commodity and Ellis Brooklyn.
Have you tried the perfumes from Michelle Pfeifer's brand? I think it's called Henry Rose, a lot of them are vanilla heavy. I got the sampler pack and only liked one of them because they were all so vanilla heavy, which I don't like. Since you said that's what you gravitate to, I just thought I'd recommend.
Longtime Phlur fan so I've been super curious (and a lil sus honestly) about their rebrand!! (I still have like 4 full size bottles I'm going through from their old line.) Have sampled one or two from Abbott too, because I was looking for a moss & mint combo scent. I enjoyed The Cape but not sure I'll repurchase.
I absolutely love the lightbearer lamp in the background of the video. I google lens it who yielded a result for a private vendor who tried to Scam me. The vendor advertised the same picture on Anthropologie for $77. Its a good thing I paid using PayPal who refunded me my coins. I guess the saying is true, It its too good, its some Sugar Honey Ice Tea in the game. 😂😅.
I purchased a big bottle of Phlur mood ring and was sooo excited to get it!! I sprayed one spray and it was ok at first, but after a few minutes I had to scrub it off!!🥺 It made me nauseous!!!🤢
I am new to fragrance and have a question. When a perfume tells you what the notes are, are those ingredients literally in thr formula or are the just evocative of that note? Like when I smell By The Fireplace, I literally smell wood and fire. It’s on my wishlist!
I was disappointed with the Phluid Project set. Transcend was the only one I liked and the performance was among the worst I’ve ever tried. Still trying to get my hands on the Phlur set-it’s always sold out. Yes to samples!
Have you seen the new Marc Jacobs fragrance? It smells like lemony cleaning product/lemon candy, but I actually enjoy it. I think it’s a nice one for summer.
So i smelled phlur perfumes in store and honestly i just cant into them. Which makes me sad because everyone talks about about "not my baby"..... but i did like Abbott!!! I think they are inspired by places in nature.
I got the Phlur sample set too and I’m disappointed by most of them 😅 but apricot privée is the worstttt, I do smell the apricot in the opening, but a weird woody scent in the dry down
Not to double comment 😅 but have you tried Atelier Cologne? If so do you think they are similar to the Abbott samples? From your description they could be similar. I love all these fragrance videos!
Apricot Privee was so medicinal to me. It was a terrible olfactory experience for me and it stayed on waaay longer than I would want a fragrance that I actively disliked to linger.
I noticed the two you really disliked had peony in it-I wonder if that’s your no. I don’t love “beach air” type fragrances so when someone says “fresh” I have to look at the notes because woods fresh I’m good, but that ocean air type fresh I’m not interested in.
This video typifies what bugs me SO MUCH as a vegan consumer who only buys cruelty-free products. Fragrance is the least animal-friendly beauty product, basically none of the big houses are CF (because they're selling in China) and for whatever reason all of the overtly vegan and CF houses are also "cLeAn" which essentially means fresh, airy, basic, boring. No depth, no staying power, no dark, no dense, no sex. Whomp whomp! Just because I love animals doesn't mean I only wanna smell like cleaning products or soap!! So boring.

💯 !!! I agree with you that it smells like jo Malone. That was the first perfume I thought after smelling it on my skin.
i’ve gotten into perfumes because of you and was very interested in hearing about the phluid project scents!! thank you for your hard work on these videos 💗💗💗

Haha I’m sorry…. But also hope you are having fun!! I feel you though because I go hard when I get into something new!!
With some of these fragrances, you mentioned “this would smell nice on other people, but not me” and “I can see why other people like it, but it’s not for me.”
I hope you come out with a video like that.

Been loving your makeup lately! Looking beautiful. 😊
Thanks so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been getting into perfumes too and the discovery sets are so fun!

I have the Phlur set coming today. The only one I’ve tried is Phloria and I love it! Reminds me of tropical flowers, a nice summer scent.
Ooooh I love that you did all 3 sets. So fun!
My brother and I sampled the Penhaligon’s set and it was quite the experience so I’m curious to hear your thoughts 🧐
I actually went to their store in the UK to smell a few of their picks. I dont know, i think alot of their selection is quite strong for me
Missing person is my perfect skin scent, but it has zero lasting power and zero scent projection.I so want it to have at least a little projection.
Def enjoy these sample exploration videos!
If you like violet in your scents, I would definitely give Slow Dance from Byredo a try. It was my wedding fragrance, and I absolutely love it.
I have one of the older Phluid fragrances, it's really nice, but a pain to have to shake before I spray. I think they're smart changing it up.
I'm definitely tempted by sampler sets. You look so freaking pretty! Love your makeup and hair!
Have you tried the perfumes from Michelle Pfeifer's brand? I think it's called Henry Rose, a lot of them are vanilla heavy. I have a travel spray of Sequoia! It's a beautiful woody scent but as you guessed it doesn't last very long, only a few hours on me
Oooh, Lauren, I love this tester video! I would be extra happy to see more of them. I’m forever curious…..✨
Totally irrelevant to the content of the video, but you look so radiant and beautiful!! I’m glad you had a vacation, and I hope it was restful!
Try Hanami from phlur if you can. I have sequoia and love it. Hanami smells like an oak tree in autumn
If you want to include olfactif samples, I would enjoy that! :)
Longtime Phlur fan so I've been super curious (and a lil sus honestly) about their rebrand!! (I still have like 4 full size bottles I'm going through from their old line.)

That apricot privee is a gorgeous scent.
For perfume sampling, I use the lint free wipes that I have for my nails.
have you ever tried scents from Ghost Ship Scentporium? I think you'd find it an interesting brand
I purchased a big bottle of Phlur mood ring and was sooo excited to get it!! I sprayed one spray and it was ok at first, but after a few minutes I had to scrub it off!!🥺 It made me nauseous!!!🤢
you need to try Boardwalk Delight from Skylar!! I saw an ad for it and immediately thought of you LOL
I LOVE your fragrance content!!!
I am new to fragrance and have a question. When a perfume tells you what the notes are, are those ingredients literally in thr formula or are the just evocative of that note? Like when I smell By The Fireplace, I literally smell wood and fire. It’s on my wishlist!
Got a Liis discovery set. Can't wait to sniff Studied and Bo!
I was disappointed with the Phluid Project set. Transcend was the only one I liked and the performance was among the worst I’ve ever tried. Still trying to get my hands on the Phlur set-it’s always sold out. Yes to samples!
Thank you for the review :)
Have you tried anything from Zoologist at all?
If you are interested in trying perfume sets, maybe try lush, either their Sets or solid perfumes if you want to pay less
I am dying, just dying, lol for some CARNATION perfumes, that are NOT $200+
Have you seen the new Marc Jacobs fragrance? It smells like lemony cleaning product/lemon candy, but I actually enjoy it. I think it’s a nice one for summer.
I was really disappointed in Phlur. I can’t imagine anyone wearing it. It’s been heavily returned at my store.
I owned the old Ameline and I love it, repurchased several times. I’m worried the new one isn’t the same, does anyone know if it is?
Loved this!
So i smelled phlur perfumes in store and honestly i just cant into them. Which makes me sad because everyone talks about about "not my baby"..... but i did like Abbott!!! I think they are inspired by places in nature.

Yeah… I was really expecting a bit more from the new Phlur scents!! Haha glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like Apricot Privee!! 😅😂😊
@@LaurenMaeBeauty not your baby is probably my fav too, but I said the same exact thing: wouldn’t buy a full bottle of any of them 🤣
Not to double comment 😅 but have you tried Atelier Cologne? If so do you think they are similar to the Abbott samples? From your description they could be similar.
I love all these fragrance videos!
Can you get these in store or just online?
Hanami from phlur is good it's a fig scent
Apricot Privee was so medicinal to me. It was a terrible olfactory experience for me and it stayed on waaay longer than I would want a fragrance that I actively disliked to linger.
Where did you get that tshirt?? Lol
Wow just found you! Subscribed!
I noticed the two you really disliked had peony in it-I wonder if that’s your no.
I don’t love “beach air” type fragrances so when someone says “fresh” I have to look at the notes because woods fresh I’m good, but that ocean air type fresh I’m not interested in.
A bonus???!
I actually like Missing Person...however...I hate the name. lol
💗💗💗💗
💕💕
I just didn't like Phlur Missing person.. it's too musky for me 😢
This video typifies what bugs me SO MUCH as a vegan consumer who only buys cruelty-free products. Missing person smells of a just showered 6 yr old feet 🤷🏽♀️
