I'm a nurse, and the first time I smelled BR540, that medicinal note smells like iodine, the extrait does not have that, and I don't get that from Cloud either.

It's been so fun (and validating lol) to watch you go on this scent journey and find out that we do like a lot of the same notes
It was super interesting seeing all the scents you have dents in- I’m definitely more of a “have one perfume and use it up” person. 😅 My current biggest “dent” is in the travel spray of Versace Eros Flame… and by “dent”, I mean it’s almost gone 😆 Really thinking about buying the big bottle, but I might wait until later in the summer as I associate it with that time of year. Before that, I totally used up a 100 mL bottle of Fragonard’s Cedre, over the course of about two years.
I love how much you love fragrance. Your excitement and joy is such a delight even though we don't share any scent faves 😂except for Autumn Vibes. Even Fireplace is too sweet for me. 😊
I’d love a video on Ellis Brooklyn! I love the house. All their scents feel a bit unique, and I’m currently obsessed with Bee, but it doesn’t last very long on me, so I’m wondering if they have one that would last longer
I'm so glad I started watching these perfume videos- I got the sephora vanilla samples set and I've almost used them all up. I got the full size of vanilla woods and I ADORE it, I want to wear it every day!!

By the Fireplace is one of my all time favorites. Has been for years. I just drool 🤤 smelling it. I wear that shizz all year long but I’m not one to switch up scents and makeup colors to the seasons. I’ll wear the most leathery, amber, smoke, Oud scent there is in the dead of summer and I’m in south Louisiana where it’s like 115°/100% humidity. I just got Montale Chocolate Greedy after hearing your description of it. I’ve only had it a few days but love it. I’m so bummed though because that’s my second full size Montale and they come with those chincy caps with the dangly logo and they won’t even fit right and half the time fall off when I pick up the bottle. That is definitely not luxury to me. I also just ordered more scents from another person on Etsy. I got a marshmallow and bourbon tobacco and ohhhhh sweet Jesus help me! Scrumptious!! Oh I love Dossier too! I got the Ambery Saffron and the Santal 33 dupe before and went through both lightning fast. I’ve never smelled either original but from description of Santal 33 I don’t think they are alike. And someone told me that 33 smells like pickles and when I sprayed the Dossier on my all I could smell was pickle!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ellis Brooklyn is my favorite fragrance brand. Sci-fi is one of my all time favorites. I also adore West from the brand. It's what I wore on my wedding day
I just got back into perfume thanks to your Scent Sunday series. We love the same notes. I was reminded of a Vanilla Jasmine I had that I loved but is no longer at Walmart. Skylar Vanilla Skies and Coconut Cove might have to join my Yves Roche Bourbon Vanilla and their Coconut. Just hmmm. Warm fuzzies like a nice cuddly blanket with a hot cup of coffee.

I love perfume so this is right up my alley! I’m more into rose and fresh fragrances but I loved hearing you talking about scents! I am glad that perfume seems to be getting super popular with so many options - whether it be clean fragrances or super expensive ones. I want a marly de parfum fragrance!!!
I bought a 1.7oz bottle of Nishane Ani at the end of February, and it is already nearly half gone. It is SO delicious. I've been debating mixing it as part of my wedding day fragrance this Fall. I also have used like half of a 1oz bottle of YSL Libre Intense. They're both so so so good. My fiance uses Whispers in the Library and literally uses one spray of it when he wears it, and he's chugging along on his big bottle. Fragrance has been my obsession of late 2021/2022.

I’ve been getting more into perfume over the last few months and I decided to try out Cloud, and it is so cool to me how our bodies can change a fragrance and our noses pick up different things. That being said, I absolutely hated cloud on myself, to me is just smelled like i just dumped a bag of sugar over my head and i literally could not smell anything else. 😂 Ross came through with the deals, Im glad I just picked it up there instead of buying the full size

Sci Fi is my favorite from the line!!! It smells just like an orange creamsicle with a slight tea base. I agree it’s pretty unique and I adore it.

Lauren I've been looking for my perfume yt-guru and here you are, describing shit exactly as I do, the bucket of perfume for friends to try (I absolutely love shoving gorgeous things in my friends' faces for them to try) just like I would have, and wouldn't you know it, RUclips just won't recommend you. But I still tune in, insta-like, and Sundays are becoming my favorite days!
Vanilla fig is the BEST Philosophy fragrance! 💜
The best vanilla (to me) is Montblanc Signature. So yummy. 🤤

At the winter Sephora sale, I bought the Skylar Vanilla Sky value set with the full size plus the roller ball, and not only do I have a dent in the bottle, my roller ball is on its last drops. Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere is also a favorite and I went through the set from Ulta a few years ago. I enjoy the Fresh Cream shower gel, but I didn’t like the perfume. Warm Cashmere is definitely the best fragrance in that line. By the Fireplace, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Killian Angel’s Share…these are among my go-tos. I did buy the Dossier dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540 (it was sold out for a long time!) and I can’t smell it on myself. In fact, I thought maybe I had Covid and had lost my sense of smell! 🤣🤣 My husband likes it, so I guess it does actually smell, but for some reason it takes a lot for me to smell it.
That is so interesting you can’t smell the Dossier! It is always so interesting how everyone picks up things differently!! I have learned Sam can’t really smell musks and so perfumes like JHAG Not A Perfume smell like nothing to him! Angel’s Share is on my list! Haha it will be mine by next Fall!!

Ulta was having a 5X points for any fragrance yesterday and I bought a full size of Burberry Her, a full size of Mon Guerlain, a full size D&G The One, a travel of Chloe (the original, I love that one, nostalgic for me), and a travel of Estée Lauder Beautiful Magnolia. Im trying to add a few good spring/summer scents, bedtime, & I ust needed a little retail Therapy and pick me up. Today my scent of the day is Montale Intense Cafe.
Great video Lauren. I’m with you on the Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid (I love it so much! I like Original FB, but Ruby is so so so much better!). KAYALI Vanilla is one of my absolute faves (I’m guilty of having the largest bottle 😳😬), and Mancera Instant Crush is such a good one (my teenage son (17) LOVES it too). He’s very into “good smells” like me 😂 Ironically, I have not tried Cloud yet, but it’s in my basket at Ulta. I’m so upset I forgot it when ordering yesterday! On my list to get is BR540 and PDM Delina. When I can. They are $$!!!!!! (And I need samples of those first for sure). Thank you for all of your input & descriptions. Thank you for the detailed description of the perfumes. I have been on the hunt for several years and recently bought several small bottles of popular perfumes. HATE them so now you give more options to check out. I am a big fan of gourmand and vanilla powdery scents but not musky or strong smelling scents.
I would try out the Nest Madegascar Vanilla, YSL libre intense, and Vanilla woods. They’re my favorite vanillas right now. Nest is so creamy and delicious and is amazing for layering.

I’ve been sampling the MFK perfumes lately and I absolutely adore Gentle Fluidity Gold to where I bought a full size. It last a long time and it’s just the perfect vanilla comfort scent imo with a little bit of added dimension from the juniper. BR540 was good too but I wasn’t wowed. I just tried the Gentle Fluidity Silver and the dry down on it is absolutely amazing and super fresh, different from what I normally wear but will def be considering getting a full sized too. Grand Soir and Amyris Femme weren’t for me and Aqua Vitae was interesting in a neutral way and Idk how I feel about it yet.
As for other perfumes I wore She Was An Anomaly by Etat Libre almost every day. I blind bought and wasn’t sold on it at first but it slowly grew on me. It’s perfect for everyday bc it’s subtle and not in ur face but when u do notice it it’s captivating. if you love sandlewood you’ll love She was an anomaly too. other Scents ive tried from État libre were good and extremely unique but idk how frequently I’d wanna wear them so idk if I could justify a full bottle. I do wanna try more of them tho
Besides that tho I wore YSL Libre for a hot minute but imo u get sick of it easily as it’s super strong and powdery. I also have Frivole by Fragonard which is this super citrusy scent with a somewhat iris undertone I got in France. Honestly super underrated and it is easily the longest lasting perfume I’ve had. If u love fresh and citrusy you’ll love it and they are also relatively affordable
Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere is fabulous…Vanilla Fig is lovely…my husband loves when I wear it! I just got the new Pop of Sun and I’m obsessed! It’s light and fresh and sexy! I’m a Philosophy freak I’ve got like 10rn😅🥰

Hello, fellow QVC lover! 😂 I got the new launch, Pop of Sun, too. It feels like a tropical place…so lovely! I also ordered Summer Grace, but I feel it’s really similar to Amazing Grace (which reads a bit soapy on me). I was wondering if the bubble bath works well for you? I use 4-5 pumps and barely get bubbles…thinking it may be hard water? I just don’t get the kind of bubbles they’re famous for?

The bubbles are lush and I only need like 2-4 pumps and I do find it to perform beautifully for my skin…however it’s too much fragrance for my eczema prone daughter it makes her dry patches worse! I can see what your saying about the “Grace” line…have you tried the “summer love” line? The Summer version of Falling in love and Unconditional Love are my favorite!! Super warm and sexy too me!🥰😌✨✨
I bought Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere on your recommendation. I got a great deal at Ulta, because it was a blind buy but I LOVE IT and would pay full price at some point.
I used to LOVE Vanilla 28, then one day I wore and I don't know what happened! It just smells like church furniture to me now and I can't wear it anymore 😭

I have had major dents if not on my second bottle of Gucci generous violet which I think is discontinued that I would layer with Chloe roses also major dent / on second bottle. Also very irresistible on my second bottle. Since starting my new fragrance journey I have started w some new scents - I have been subscribed to scentbird for a while, and have tried a few in Ulta after watching your channel and as a result have picked up cloud , light blue, and perfect- but also got a small spray of ‘bubble bath’ by replica and feel I need the big bottle. I also sampled the vanilla sky and omg!!! Smells so yummy I am gonna need that too

would enjoy your thoughts on Ellis Brooklyn.. i’ve been a user of all their scents and lotions since they came out. i love them overall, but their notorious lack of longevity is a huge issue with me. unless i layer with the corresponding lotion. i will say that Salt performed heaps better than most of their scents for me, but i adore Myth so much.

I found philosophy pure grace tropical summer at tj Maxx a few weeks ago and I’ve been loving it!! Then I smelled the ouai st. Barts scrub you love while at ulta the other day and they seem identical to me!! You definitely have to check it out 😊

i have the same experience with BR540 but i always assumed it was bc i don't spray it a ton i usually just spray my wrists. i do love that i can always still smell it on my wrists the next day sometimes even after i've showered. also the strap on my watch now smells permanently like BR540 bc i am usually wearing my watch when i spray it and it smells incredible and sometimes i'll just sit and smell my watch strap like a weirdo bc the way BR540 smells on your skin (or watch strap lol) a few hours after spraying is so wonderful and cozy it is the best!!!
also the comment about wearing vanilla sky in the summer in the air conditioning made me laugh bc that is so LA. being in an air conditioned building in LA in the summer is like being in a totally different season it is so freaking cold sometimes. i'd always have to bring a sweater to work or school just bc of the AC even though it is like 100 outside smh
I have to double up on my BR540 too, and I use a local NZ company that makes natural perfumes and I use their dupe for it and layer on top.
I love but the fire place !!! And baccarat rouge 540 extrait more but original too and vanilla 28

I have made pretty substantial dents in Cloud 2.0, Eros by Versace, and Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia which I have repurchased several times. I have always loved fresh clean scents and I have really branched out. I love By the Fire Place and made a huge dent in it. I also enjoyed Autumn Vibes made a small dent in it. I really need to use what I have and stop buying new fragrances lol
Fresh Cream is great. Not a fan of it with cashmere added in.
Anyone trying to add straight vanilla to your scents-get choco musk, layer it under something you love that you want to be more vanilla and more sweet, then thank me later.
Anyone who is against other people layering cheaper fragrances or dupes with more expensive fragrances has too much time on their hands-Layering is bae. I love smelling how fragrances play together on my skin.
Today I tried Dossier Citrus Green Apple layered over Vera Wang Princess in my warm areas-it was divine.

Warm Cashmere is definitely a go to of mine. I like By The Fireplace too but lately I've been working through a mini set of the NEST scents from sephora.

If you haven't try a sample of Initio Oud For Greatness. The Saffron is similar to baccarot rouge, but it is different enough to own both. I have the BR540 extrait and Cloud and OFG now and I love OFG for myself and when my husband wears it, then I wear BR and we're a saffron cloud of cuddliness. Oooh, in those moments I should spray cloud on my kids and we can all coordinate!!!
Along the frags you have, have you tried any Killian stuff? If not, try Intoxicated and Moonlight in Heaven on skin tho. They develop so nicely and are my favorite...this week. 😁
Edit to add: Memo's Tahitian Vanilla is a must try too and BFK's Gris Charnel-sample on the skin for both because they develop so stunningly.

Ok. I’m just going to put it out there- I’m a basic b-. I’ve repurchased a few perfumes so I’d say they were my “dents”. Ralph Lauren Notorious was my signature scent. Damn them for discontinuing. I’ve repurchased both La vie est belle and coco Mademoiselle also. They both are beautiful and long lasting on me. Like I said, basic b-. I’m also about to finish up my Moschino Fresh. It’s wonderful and the windex bottle it comes in is adorable. I like the Moschino scents. I’m making a pretty good dent in my Tom Ford Lost Cherry- took me a while to get on board with it but I loved it over the winter. Another one I have been enjoying is just a blind buy I picked up at Marshall’s for like $15- Guess seductive noir. Surprisingly nice.
Have you tried the kilian love don’t be shy? I’ve only smelled a tester in store but I think you’d love it and the dossier floral marshmallow is a pretty good dupe (based on my tester experience 😅)!
I just got it from Dossier and I love it, but it’s kind of sickly sweet? (In the best way possible.) I know fragrance is subjective and there are not rules, but this 40 yo may keep it as a “house fragrance”. 😂

I like Baccarat but I couldn’t smell it on me and never got compliments, for how much I paid for it, that annoyed me so so much 😅😅😅 I sold it and kept Cloud. I will buy Baccarat Extrait to see if that one is different on my skin ❤️

I feel you, I seem to have been cursed with the long haul Covid hex where damn near everything has this weird plastic-like chemical tinge smell to it. But, yesterday I smelled my lotion for the first time since I bought it so yay!! (I didn’t particularly like it though lol)
By the fire is one of my fav winter perfumes. I’m in California so there is really no true winter. I have to stop myself from constantly wearing this perfume. Next vib I will buy the big bottle.
I also wear Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere to bed. But I personally don't like Fresh Cream. It's less of a warm sweet and just strong flat sweet to my nose.
My big dents are Libre (almost gone), born in Roma (also almost gone), delina and Crystal noir
I love the smell of Bakarat but it hates me. On a test strip or on someone else it smell lovely! On my skin it smells like those old foam fluoride trays they used to use at the dentist office in the 90s. It absolutely breaks my heart. Luckily cloud smells how I wanted bakarat to smell on my skin. They don’t smell the same but the but they do. It’s so weird lol

Ellis Brooklyn is also a weird house for me. I love Sci fi. I was surprise how much I liked it too when I first smelled it. I was expecting to like super amber and bee 🐝 but I don’t haha I like après, sweet. I like the opening of sunfruit but I’m not a super fan of the dry down.

I just recently bought my first fragrance ever-Philosophy amazing grace and it smells very clean and floral, perfect for spraying on after a shower 😊 I have my eye on next Aquolina Pink Sugar, but most reviews just describe it as 'sweet.' If anyone owns it/smelled it before, is there another way to describe it? (and yes Lauren, I can imagine this soon being a pretty expensive hobby lol)

To me and on my skin, it’s a fruity cotton candy but it’s a nice mixture of fruity and sugary, like it’s not overly sugary or fruity a great in between. I also get some minty/freshness in the background. It’s a really nice scent that isn’t expensive, so if you do end up getting it and not liking it, it won’t make a big dent in the pocket 😅 (I hope you like it if you ever get it, since I really do believe it’s a great fragrance to have, especially if you like layering) and you can get it on Fragrancenet for around the $20-$25 range for the big bottle
Pink sugar I wear regularly and I would say that it’s a mix of a caramel/marshmallow gourmand. I would still use the word sweet though 🤷🏾♀️
Cloud is weird to me. I don't get any sweetness. I get a pure wood. Kinda like JHaG not a perfume. Literally! I love that about it though. But weird.
