I've had this since February 2023 after being on waiting list. Alas I know how to set it up for 16 different effects tha ks to a video of yours which is saved
Such wonderful videos Ross, thanks so much for all your efforts here, really valuable learning tools, that are helping me setup my RC600 to do what I want it to do, fantastic work - thanks again!
Hello, thanks for making this video! Currently as of 1/16/24 the Parameter Guide is not available for download from the Boss website. Is if possible for you to make it available for us, perhaps via Google Drive? TIA
Head over to the RC-600 Facebook Group! If you go to the files section, you'll see that someone has recently uploaded it there. Let me know how you get on!
And there is another question that is important to me. On the rc 600, the synchronization of loops is by measures (bars). For example, if I want to record 2 bars in 4/4, it recognizes that I played 2 bars. But suppose the start loop was in 4/4, and on another track I want to record 7/8. Do I understand correctly that loop synchronization will not work in this case? Because it can either shorten the recording to fit the start loop, or play both loops without synchronization, which would cause splitting of loops if the start and end of loop were done incorrectly. Rather, I don't mean synchronization so much as quantization, i.e. I want rc600 to ideally be able to understand that I'm not synchronizing the loops by measures, but by beat itself at the beginning of the recording and at the end. Looper looks perfect for recording different tracks in the same signature. But I'm not sure if you can make recordings in different signatures without perfect accuracy.
Thank you very much for this video, you are the only one where I saw a clear explanation of loop sync functions. Could you please tell me why if this function is enabled, the tempo after recording a loop always changes, as well as the playback speed of the original loop? I've read all the instructions from boss, but I still don't understand why it works like that. For example, I want the tempo to be 61.0, but after recording the tempo becomes 47.0, etc. the tempo is different every time. If I turn off the loop or tempo sync, the problem goes away, however it reappears if I record a new loup on a different channel with the sync on. It's driving me crazy.
They're called pedal toppers and should be easy enough to find on Amazon. I updated to v1.21. I have two tracks set to AUTO measure and one track set to FREE measure. If I start looping on the FREE measure track it sets the length of measures for the tracks set to AUTO which it is not supposed to do...why is this happening?
Hi Nick, do you have LOOP SYNC switched on for all of these tracks? The AUTO measure feature should make all tracks that are set to AUTO, the same length and the number of measures should be set by the first recorded track that is set to AUTO.
@@RossGallagherMusic Loop Sync is on and set to measure. They way the manual reads is should do exactly what you are saying, but when I start recording on the FREE track first it sets the measure length for all the tracks set to AUTO...my RC-300 works this way but it doesn't seem like the 600 will. If you had the time to verify, have all tracks set to AUTO except one that is set to FREE. Start recording on the FREE track first and see if it sets the measures for the AUTO tracks on your 600 and let me know :)
@@WiebeJamming I'm not at the RC-600 at the moment, but just to check; you want the first recorded track to be set to FREE, but then subsequent tracks set to AUTO, all auto tracks to be given the same number of measures, but the free track to be a different length?
@@RossGallagherMusic Yes, record a 1 measure beat on the on the FREE track first. Then try to record a 4 measure guitar track on any of the tracks set to AUTO and see what happens.
@@WiebeJamming it does appear that the AUTO setting syncs up to the number of measures set by the first recorded track, even if this is FREE. Could you set the number of measures manually and still achieve the same results. E.g. set the number of measures to 4 bars for subsequent loops?

Boom! That's what it's all about, Dan! I'm glad I've managed to help you out!

You are my go to teacher thanks so much
Thanks for your message, Dan. Glad to be of service!!
@@RossGallagherMusic I'd love to hear your performance
Thanku
You're welcome. I hope you're finding the videos useful!
Your videos are excellent to help with this very cool looper. The manual stinks. Without the video I would be lost. Thanks
Thanks so much for your comments. I'm glad you're getting something out of the videos! Cheers, Ross
great video, looking forward to the next one
Thanks so much. Part 2 coming on Friday, all being well!
Great video as always
Cheers Ste! It's greatly appreciated 👍
Excellant presentation. Thank you for the work done.
Thank you, you're very welcome!
Super helpfull! 🥰
Glad you've found it useful 👍
Great video Ross! Boss should employ you as an alternative to their sparse and incomprehensible manuals :)
Thanks, Merlin! That means a lot. Maybe BOSS will read this and offer me a job! 😄

I have an off topic question here hoping someone can help. If im using a multi effects unit like fractal how do i run that to the rc 600?

Your intro music is WAY too loud compared to your voiceover sir……😊. However, another brilliant video on this SUPER LOOPER ❤
Thank you for the feedback! It's all a learning curve for me so I'll take your comments on board for future videos. Glad you like the content!
Well done!!! Sub to stay in the loop😅
Got to love a gimmick, Nick!
Tell u what that screen is tiny! I would much rather have had a bigger screen and paid £100 more!!!
Perhaps something BOSS will look at in the future.
