Was wandering at the store first time randomly bought couple of trouts and found me this recipe and what a delicious meal hats down. As one proverb says " Give a man a fisch and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for lifetime". Learned a precious recipe. Thank you.
My neighbor just brought over a bunch of trout he caught. Thank you for making this so easy and simple. Looking forward to following these instructions and making the trout tonight for dinner.
Thank you for this video. I caught three fresh rainbow trout and after learning how to clean them I watched your video to cook it and absolutely nailed my first attempt. In your video it would have been helpful to know what temperature to have the oven and a description of what the fish should look like after the first 10 minutes of cooking and the final check conditions to know it was done. All it all I appreciate the time you took to explain the process and because it I had three tasty trout for dinner.
Thanks for sharing. Followed your instructions to cook this for the first time, using fresh trout I bought, as they had been reduced to only 25 pence each! Very nice, although I felt it could do with something to give it a bit more flavour.
Good video, but that is not a butterflied trout. Butterfly means to open it completely with the spine either removed or at least cut to allow a total spread fish.
I just cannot keep the heads on something about the little guys looking at me after I dispatched em makes me uneasy but yeah this is exactly how I was taught to cook and serve trout. Sadly I saw too many vids where the skin and 1/3 of the fish was wasted from filleting before cooking. This is the best way!
I live in Seattle and some the urban lakes get more than 25000 trout a planted in them, now I can try bake them up myself instead of giving them to friends.
Thanks for showing how to debone the trout … we had this once in a restaurant whole and it was full of bones 😢now I will follow your style and debone it .. looks yummy
This video really changed the game for me been using this primitive fishing/camping for a while now! The slide off the bone part works gl great for mackerel as well as cobia! Not so great for catfish haha
It's better for health to use the parchment paper than the aluminum foil (causes Alzheimer's disease and Dementia). I love how in this video they clearly show how to debone trout and fillet them - very useful info!
Don't you think baking the trout wrapped in aluminum foil and adding lemon (which is acidic) will result in contaminating your fish with aluminum? That is not good?
@@inspiredtaste never let anyone take you to a secondary location. :-p But seriously, if you have made the video intentionally badly so people have to go to your sight, why would I trust that your sight isn't similarly scamy?
Can u make cookies!!! Also I know i probaly shouldn't ask but can I have a shout out for the idea of cookies!🍪 OOHH I LOVE U GUYS!!!!!😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
It's going to depend on how large your fish is. If yours took an hour, it must have been pretty big. Our recipe is designed for a pound of trout. Not that you can't use the recipe for larger fish, but that is what our cook times are based off of.
Hi Cody, We want to make sure you have the most accurate recipe. The full recipe can always be found in the video description area. Our full trout recipe can be found here: www.inspiredtaste.net/1648/oven-baked-trout/

Gotta love when you find a vid with NO EXTRA BS. You all were amazing!
great video , no bs or too much garbled, fast talking, and the way you show how to deal with the bones is PRICELESS ! Thank You !
Mine turned out pretty good, thank you for the detailed instructions on removing the bones!
I love the way you guys cook your fish I love eating rainbow trout real healthy and good
Great video! Especially the bone removal part. I’d go with 15 minutes at 400 for sure though, and flip it half way threw.

You guys nailed it, I love this recipe. Baked trout is a regular go to for us. Thanks for sharing!
How does trout taste? Is it a nasty aftertaste?
Good video, but that is not a butterflied trout. Butterfly means to open it completely with the spine either removed or at least cut to allow a total spread fish.
Will be trying this tonight. Thanks for the video
Nice! this is how my father in law taught me. I'll be making it today. Thanks

Awesome! I fish the Eastern Sierra and needed a new recipe for my lunkers.
Thank you. Thanks for showing how to fillet it afterwards, that was very useful.
Glad it was helpful!

You guys are great! Thanks for the info, I have 2 nice sized trout in the fridge right now and didn’t know what to do with it!! Now I know! Lol....
Super video. This is my kind of cooking :) I've also tried this with salsa instead of lemon.
I live in Seattle and some the urban lakes get more than 25000 trout a planted in them, now I can try bake them up myself instead of giving them to friends.
How fun! Glad you've found our recipe.
Excellent quick recipe! I know is convenient, but look into effects of using aluminum, high temperature and food together.

I will be trying this tonight

You can absolutely use parchment for this recipe. Glad you enjoyed it!
Great Job!
WHAT TEMPERATURE is the oven? Why isn't this important information right there in the video? EDIT: On their website, it says it's 400° F
I have the same question 🤔
@@irynastenersen2800 Looks like it's 400° F!
If you need to ask that then you shouldn't even be cooking. Just stick to take out because you have zero skills.
Thank you¡
looks good but one guestion???? at what temperture??
The full recipe with lots of tips can be found here: www.inspiredtaste.net/1648/oven-baked-trout/

What herbs did you use... I see dull and cilantro but what was the other one... in the recipe you say parsley but that doesn't look like parsley
What is there to stuff it with other than your greens?

I have a question.... Portsmouth F.C?? I'm surprised.
pleaseeeeeee do more cooking videos pleaseeeee
i dont like sealing the fish in foil it makes the meat to soggy
trenthav That’s because of the steaming process, try grilling, pan searing or baking without foil :)
Don't you think baking the trout wrapped in aluminum foil and adding lemon (which is acidic) will result in contaminating your fish with aluminum? That is not good?
WHAT TEMPERATURE?
Did not tell what temperature to cook 😢

How about you tell us the temperature to bake it
Hi there, the full recipe is linked in the description. We bake the trout in a 400 degrees F oven.
20 minutes in Mars, right? It took almost one hour
It's going to depend on how large your fish is. If yours took an hour, it must have been pretty big. Our recipe is designed for a pound of trout. Not that you can't use the recipe for larger fish, but that is what our cook times are based off of.
You never said what the over temperature was to bake the trout!
