Hi! Perfect video, just what I was looking for. Don't know why this showed up after 9yrs but glad it did. I really like the step by step assembly and disassembly, its what I needed. I've got two 031 and an 056 with the same type of boot and this was really helpful. The 056 is giving me fits lol wish you'd do more chainsaw videos!

My Stihl saw's don't break down as much as other brands and other people bring me their saw or saws only after they break down. I like helping people save money with these video's.

I know its an older video but do you recall the issue that was being caused due to the faulty boot? Im guessing a lean high running condition but curious what it was specifically. Thanks, great video.

It was so dry and hard and seemed to be pulling air in through the intake and keeping it from running.

I’m looking to do the same project. Do you know the part number for the boot and what if anything it also fits. I’m having trouble finding one.

There is some on eBay but you might be able to get one from the Stihl dealer.
