There are basically 4 brand / 5 models to choose from when looking at cars like this. This Superlite SL-C, the Factory Five GTM, Saker RapX , Saker GT or the Ultima GTR.
August 2024, I just saw a red one, a street version, on the way home from work between Kyle & San Antonio TX! REALLY nice looking car! I think it was supercharged, sure sounded like it. BADASS car!
First comment! ..seriously though, i was excited to see that you posted this. I've admired the SLC for years. By the way, how's your 1.8t build coming along?
Looking to buy a used SLC not a high dollar one just a driver can’t find none anyways been looking for five months now love to purchase one if I could find one. 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
I'd put a 5 rotor into it, maybe with a turbo as well? Who knows really, since it's most likely not able to pass Swiss Road inspections, they are so picky here.... I had a look at the site, with no engine and transmission it started over USD 51'000. So not for everyone. But still a very nice looking car. Cheers -Robert
A lot of mistakes on this. graziano transmission is around 20k. Ricardo around 14k, another 10k for engine (can be more) and you're at 70-80k dollars. That's for a race car, not a road car. factoring all costs like isolation, sound deadening etc you're going to be over 100 easily. these cars are worth around 120k build. If you do the work yourself.Thats before shipping and paint.
This is outlawed in many countries. You want a fast car? You better buy that overpriced 500 thousand euro Porsche and pay the government 25% sweet sweet sales tax.
50k for an R8/GT-R is downright impossible to find. You'd be looking at 60k, and thats for a bad one with high miles, which means the motor wont like the twin turbo/other upgrades you do. 20k is pretty wishful thinking. You'd need to put more into it, or so i think. I dont know much about tuning these cars. 30k for maintenance is best case scenario, if its even reliable. The Superlite will probably be more reliable and faster thanks to a generally lighter chassis. The GT-R and R8 are pretty heavy, while the Superlite is 1100kg (2400lbs) and you dont really need to scrap safety or interior for that Power:Weight ratio.
@@justinkibildis I also think that these two are for different kinds of people. Dropping an LS7 in the Superlite runs you about 100 grand with tranny and all, and now you've got a real fun track toy. An R8/GT-R with performance mods i'd imagine does not handle well around a track (at least not as well as a Superlite) since they dont have as much grip and are generally about 400kg heavier. The Superlite is a good car for the track, but it dont disappoint on the strip either due to low weight and high power.

Factory Five don't made the GTM and the 818 kit cars anymore. 😢

I would use the Lexus LFA engine on the Superlite. I love how the LFA sounds
Honestly looks like a LeMans Prototype from the 80s-Early 90s!
yep, if I order one I'll make it look like the sauber mercedes c11

Great video. Thanks 👍
5.8 BMW V10, or 5.0 Toyota V12........Zooooooommm!
Personally a c63 mercedes engine would do nicely 😊
yes and with a manual!
Id put a sbc n/a like 700hp save a lot of money and have that sweet sound.

?They still have them to order on their website.
Kits for sale. Health and age does not let me do this. Love to purchase a used one. 🙏🙏
An Audi I5 engine with quattro AWD and DSG box would be superb.
yikes, just put a v8 or v10 in there....
VW 1.8T and front wheel drive would be amazing

But it’s atleast $100k all said and done, only base kit is $50k, better to buy a used Porsche 911
A Henessey venom f5 has 1800 hp and weighs 3000lb , with some creativity you could get this SLC to that power to weight ratio 🤯

The website says 75k to build...
I have one and I can promise hahaha if you think you can buy this car for $75K complete you will be sadly mistaken 😂
My build was about $200K
@@TICKETDROPPER1984 thanks, what I expected
Looks cool and its not even that ugly damn

First off it’s not cheap try 100k to 130k to build it. Engine package and transaxle 50kto 60k
