Thank you very much for coming down to Miami to make the video Daniel and thank to your followers for the comments, I hope next time you can make the video with the car completely finished, tested and detailed.
The company owner is super cool, very knowledgeable and truly a self made man. I love to see people come to the US and succeed, congrats to him and I wish him nothing but success in the future! Hopefully one day I can buy one of his cars!
Made it here because that “Pace car” Benz in the video is my good friend since high school, he told me all about DDR and the fact the founder is a fellow Dominican makes me like it even more haha great content def liked and subscribed!
That car looks fantastic. Personally, I’d like to build it myself. As far as the interior goes, I think I’d opt for a whole set of digital gauges just to break up the landscape of the dashboard. The leather looks really nice and the interior itself it’s VERY nice for a turnkey kit car, for sure.
When I visited his shop, this 7.0 engine was just chilling in its crate on the floor. The car was just getting started being built. So cool to see it complete and driving now. Truely a work of art.
Love what DDR is doing. The real question is, why pay 300k when you can pay 60k and get the same performance and get the same looks by everyone. People like to buy name. I bet if this car as it is was made by a bigger brand no one will be finding anything wrong with the car. The Grullon is the next car in my list to buy.
You hit the nail right on the head especially when I can supply my own suspension, engine and dial in the rest of the cars settings to my taste. It's like getting a custom tailored suit, versus just getting some high-end brand off the shelf. Sure some people could spent more, and it probably makes them feel good. However going back to the suit analogy I don't care what's the price tag on your suit if it's not tailored... It just looks stupid hanging off your body.
I like it like this, hardly nothing in the inside. I don’t need all those useless buttons that break or malfunction. For 60k I would want that instead of a GTR WITH JUST A FEW KINKS worked out. It looks like a knockout McLaren.. just give me air conditioning electric windows and of course that performance power and I’m good. Great looking car for the money!!
I mentioned in the video it wasn't finished yet, but I was still pretty impressed. Yeah, fit and finish will never be as good as mainstream brands, but compared to other kits cars this is top notch. Just my opinion, you can look around the other cars in this market to get an idea for yourself what the standards are.
I got more of a Koenigsegg vibe from it. I see the Mclaren in it but the newer cars DDR makes are very much Koenigsegg esque. The signature rounded front end with a combo of blunt and sharp features is very Koenigsegg of them.
Not the biggest fan of the rear and headlight design, but I love the overall shape. Stunning car. Nvm I just don't like the wing and the fender vents, everything else is amazing. I'll have one in all black please
Do you only do supercar kits ? Just curious because there is dozens and dozens of non-supercar kits out there too. Example but not limited to bucket t from speedway , porsche speedster kits , vw golf truck kit , exocet
3. things they can never get right on kit cars. 1.Front & Rear lights always look cheap. 2. Logo 3. Interior There are some cool looking bodies but the lights especially the rear always looks like an old foreigh unknown brand car.
Really like the lines on that car. Its like Mclaren F1...mixed with an NSX....with something else....but all good. Interior could be stepped up and this could start entering some supercar territory. Very nice.
DDR is the ONLY kit car that MIGHT make sense...as a track car. It's a raw kit and not some corny "exotic" wannabe kit w/ shitty fit/finish. I'll never get why someone would spend $60-70K for a completed corny kit car when they could buy, oh idk, a REAL used exotic for the same. I mean...for $70K you can get a F Type SVR. Why would you want a kit car over that? Makes no sense.
I think there are quite a few nice track kits out there, from Ultima, Factory Five, Saker, even the RCR Superlite. I agree fit and finish won't be as good as the Jag, but what I like most about DDR is that it straddles the line between track car and show car. Just look up 'MCF1 EVO' and you'll see what kind of performance these cars can handle
Honestly the most disappointing part of this car for me is the interior. It's not terrible or anything especially given it is more performance built than for grand touring. I'm very much looking forward to their new design though.
huh, i guess some ppl like it and some ppl dont. i personally love the simplistic but quality looking (leather lmao) interior, but other ppl might like super crazy gauges here buttons there interiors
i wish it was a center driver like the original Mclaren. i like the interior, gives it a real racing car look. might look better with just carbon all over.
Bro you fucking hit a home run with this shit very affordable beautiful powerful cars you'll definitely be seeing me in the future can't wait to make my order DDR Motorsports won't forget it
For 50k I'll buy another used Porsche any day of the week. It's fast, well made with amazing fit and finishes, and it is a supercar from a supercar company. For $20k, I can see it, but for $50k there are just too many options on the used car market.
if your going to review a 700hp car, you need to rip on it at least once... right? like find an empty road and put the hammer down in first or second. Like seriously, whats the point of watching this thing buzz around below the speed limit?
I heard the belt squeal a couple of times, but the whole time I'm pretty sure the clutch release bearing was making noise. It would explain why the guy driving did not drive it hard whatsoever, or even shift the thing.
Very impressive, but needs a little refinement. 1) better sound insulation to engine compartment. Maybe a 2nd bulkhead with sound/heat insulation between? 2) better integrated HVAC. Look at Fiat 500 controls, heater box, condenser, and fan, and vents. 3) better aftermarket seats. 4) radio, GPS, ETC panel.
@QuickshiftCars, the problem with these cars is, they have absurd performance figures... no matter what engine and transmission you put in them... their top speed will always be around 140-160mph... Let's see if they keep on doing tests to improve and extend those performances, because as design and kit it's interesting, but the performance section has to be improved a lot (especially if it depends on the chassis, and other elements such as suspensions, stabilizers, etc.). It is not logical to spend 60.000 dollars or more in a kit car with more than 500hp and then its performance will be that of a mid-low range sedan...
Thank you very much for coming down to Miami to make the video Daniel and thank to your followers for the comments, I hope next time you can make the video with the car completely finished, tested and detailed.
Thanks for having me! I hope you enjoyed the video, can't wait to work with you more in the future 👍
I’ve tried to contact this company several times for information but no one ever replies
@@-Atif- you must be calling the wrong place cuz they reply to my emails and answer their phone

I came here after seeing your video....

So, a turnkey car that is handbuilt, and looks like this? Kudos my man! You sir are a true artist!
From Dominican Republic 🇩🇴👏🏻 these car
It so cool that Daily Driven Exotics are modifying one of these
I'd say for the bang and buck, they have great quality for the price, and LS is a easy swap for great power.
Amazing! There are virtually no limits to what can be done with ones creativity, skills and ambition.

300k built they sell for 80-110k. We have a few in Florida that cant sell for 80.
The is amazing. Thank you for building such a cool kit car.
Thanks Daniel to show the work of Diego. I think the platform is very interesting and it's open for many interesting configurations

Couldn't have said it better myself
Actually badass! I'd definitely be interested in a finished interior look at it. Imo the interior experience is just as important as the style.
I want to see updates about the Vera gt please
Uh okay I'm hearing him talk about how awesome the interior is and I'm looking at the images of the interior and something is not computing
wdym
yeah sure it might not be super fancy like an aventador or something but its nice
leather everywhere and also other cool stuff. im personally a fan of it, simplistic but nice

If it's gonna be a fun race type street car,who cares about the interior, just make it simple without stumbling over 15 different buttons.

The value is there!
I love the old school look of this car. I wouldn't call it an F1 knock off, more of a 3rd party tribute care.
looks like an Apollo N
He had me at "five point tree vee eight liter."
Mi pana Diego Grullon Dominican Power 🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴
once the new one comes out , please show us

Nice work 👍
Its looks doper without mirrors and graphics
I'd like to see the new one
There is also the Rush SR1 which is $30k, but is ~400 hp I think. That said, this car looks great.
Looks like a moded Mclaren F1 car.
Hmmm i wonder, could i put an audi rs3 engine in it
Love the car
🇩🇴 Bien hecho. Espero el proximo generacion La Vera GT
Taught himself how to weld. Red flag. Nahh! I taught myself alot of things. Rock on!
That whole car is great. Only thing is the back looks too similar to a C7 Corvette. Needs a different spoiler.
WELL DONE, bro. Keep the great car videos coming.
That car gives me ssc ultimate aero vibes
needs more units made.. or ultima.. needs ac tempered glass etc no airbags but maybe harness
thanks for the info
Have you done a video on the rezvani beast alpha?

I’m torn! Can’t tell if this car is ugly or super cool. I think it might be those black pieces and the lines
Yea let's see the new one when it comes out
Ultimately it was not meant to be the car for me but I do wish the company well.
Certainly intriguing
What is the donor car? Because it can't just be any car, it has to be rear engine

I saw this car today being towed by a very loud neon green G-wagon, nearly crashed trying to figure out what it was.
With a Auto Trans in it, with a LS7 upgraded engine, that would do me.
I believe this car will look way better in a single color..
The Mercedes Benz in the front is the gps??????
That engine by itself costs over 10 thousand dollars
The finish is really bad with plastic inserts bolted on! And what that rear speed break is that?
Nice
For 50k I'll buy another used Porsche any day of the week. It's fast, well made with amazing fit and finishes, and it is a supercar from a supercar company. For $20k, I can see it, but for $50k there are just too many options on the used car market.
