Thank you Carl. That was full. History, views, kit and excellent narrative... High quality as usual Carl... I'm still not a bivvy convert... But somehow you did manage to get in to the thing with the grace of a butterfly with cold feet... Excellent.. 👏👏👏
Ha ha. It was quite a feat to wriggle inside Jim . I've actually had it pitched in the garden recently to try to work out an easier way of climbing inside. I think I've got it sussed and hopefully next time it makes an appearance I'll be far more graceful. Thanks for watching pal. All the best. 👍
Great wee video Carl and great info on the aircraft wreckages. Very interesting piece of work well done. Glad you had a good night in your bivy. I think I would struggle to get into that in a regular basis . There looked like there needs to be a Nack to it. Great vid mate well done . All the best Andy
Cheers Andy. Glad you enjoyed the video. Quite a lot of work went into this one. i dont know whether it was the wreck topic that put people off but shortly after its release i had quite a few people unsubscribe. Maybe history wasnt their thing lol. All the best,Carl
Great video again liked the respectful way you presented and researched those tragic plane crashes. Not so sure about the bivi these old bones have enough trouble getting in a tent. 👏
Hi, thank you for your kind words regarding the plane crashes. You're right about the bivi, contorting myself to get in was almost like being born in reverse although a comfortable night was had once I was in. Thanks for watching,Carl
Firstly what a beautifully crafted video. Glad you got on ok with the bivvy, not bad for that price. Noticed your midge net was a different colour to mine. atb Hardy
Hi Hardy, thanks, I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. I was quite impressed with the bivi though getting in was a bit tight. I've been having a practice at home though and I think I've got it down to a bit of an art. That guy line at the front tends to hamper entry a little so I think slackening it off till you are inside to give a greater aperture is the way. Also I shan't be using those y pegs at the front again either. I nearly speared my palm with one of the sharp tops as I was getting out 😮. Thanks for watching pal. Means a lot 👍
Hi Carl good Vid as usual I didnt know about the Sabres interesting , good to see you had a bit of a breeze to keep the midges away been busy doing the van for Scotland !😎
Hi mate hope you're well. Definitely worth a visit to the sabres if you're up that way. Quite shocking how far the debris field stretches. Those bugs were a nightmare for about an hour. Was glad when that wind picked up.
Really enjoying your channel mate! We have subscribed in support! We know how hard it can be to produce good content and get your YT off the ground. Going through it ourselves. Keep up the good work!
The porridge looked more liquidy than the coffee next to it, the bivvy seemed to work well for you Carl and the aircraft wreckage seemed interesting to look at.
The porridge did thicken up after standing a few minutes. The bivvy was a success but I've made a few tweaks and had some practice pitches at home to make getting in and out a bit easier next time I will be visiting a few more crash sites in the future so if I decide to carry on filming there may be some more wreck visits on here. Cheers,Carl.
@@carljohnsonoutdoors Are you thinking of not filming you future trips Carl, it sounds in your reply to me as if you are packing up filming You Tube videos. I hope not.
Hi JT. The dark peak is littered with air wrecks. I will have to look into the ones up in the Cheviots. I fancy a trip up that way. All the best pal, Carl
In 1943 the RCAF Liberator III crashed into Montagne Noire near Saint-Donat, Quebec killing 24 people. It is not not too far from my chalet and I hope to hike up to the wrecked one day.
Hi Carl I can't believe I've found your channel again 😊😊 nice to see you and Jim on your adventures again
Hi Graham. Welcome back. Thanks for returning. Glad you're enjoying the videos. Cheers, Carl

Brilliant video Carl, it was great hearing all about the history of the aircraft, theory's on their crashes, etc. Thank you for that.
Cheers nick. Glad you enjoyed it. I hope to visit a few others in future visits to the peak. Thanks for watching mate, all the best, Carl
