I am a very positive person and the friends I see every day are the ones who send me positive vibes. Why am I saying that? Because my music is often dark and full of melancholy. I can consider myself melancholic sometimes but not really dark. My head is a real mess though and I have 10 dreams a night. My music allows me to express my darkest side and it helps me find the perfect balance in life.

Very peaceful, and while it can be called “dark”, I find it soothing. Beautiful textures! And the voice fits in perfectly like another synth.
When I read your description it reminded me of how my music is sometimes called melancholic, and I’m also a positive person. I just like the sound of moody harmonies and atmospheres. I think it would be totally different if you made music that was angry or aggressive, but it isn’t.

« The voice fits in perfectly like another synth ». I wanted someone to say that without me suggesting it. This is exactly what I intended to do ! I often find myself trying to explain to « non-electronic-music » listeners that I don’t like songs when the voice takes 60% of the space. Imho the voice is just another instrument and doesn’t need to always be in the front. Like these bands where we only recognize the singer.

Hello dear Fred! Beautiful composition full of captivating sounds and calm harmonies, ideal for meditating... and also for reflecting on your words... abaut that, I must tell you that I don't feel your music, in general, is dark. But well, since I am a little dark and melancholic, I tend to enjoy it much more of music that tends to that, and then perhaps my perception is not the same as that of someone who usually listens only to rock and roll, POP or Strauss waltzes, hahaha!
Oh well! What is really certain is that your music is wonderful and great!

I must admit that I don’t really find my music dark either (or maybe the Dark Pact series) but “dark” and “eerie” are the common words which are coming back the most often. I think that when you’re listening all day long to the radio, my kingd of music can indeed be considered as dark.

As probably the Darkest buddy you have on RUclips I have to say that it is totally therapeutic. I am also very kind, sweet and upbeat in real life so I get using music as an outlet. Great work here Fred. I really love this track brother! 💯
Yeah I’m that kind of guy too but often ambient music can sound dark regarding the key you’re playing. I can’t blame people to think so even if imho this is more electronic ambient than dark ambient. But who cares the genre. It’s like wine, you can study it for decades and in the end you like it or you don’t. Cheers man and huge thanks!

Great music Fred! It has a very hypnotic/calming feel to it while at the same time having a feeling of loneliness, partly from the music and partly from the visuals. It is weird how the brain can interpret the same thing in different ways depending on context. I listened a second time without watching the video and the sound immediately felt more upbeat. In my mind when I created the animations the first clip had more of a horror feel to it, but with the inclusion of your music that is gone and has been replaced more by calm loneliness, the second animation again gives the feeling of separation. So all in all a great demonstration of the power of the senses to influence our minds and a great way to capture a fleeting dream that has no real meaning.

@@nolakeYour music is always an inspiration for me too. I try and make visuals that others may find a use for in some way. I just passed 40M views on Pexels with them now. Feb was a good month with me almost doubling the number of views compared to Jan with around 3.7M views for Feb alone. So I guess I am doing something right

So thats why you always pick up melamcholy vibes from others. But because you surround yourself with such a diverse group of listeners they do not allow you to go down the wrong rabbit trail of despair. Beautiful simple piece and the graphics had me scratching my head to figure out. But I guess thats part of your mystique, yes?
I actually go down very often but rarely upload those ones. They are available on my Bandcamp though under the « Dark Pact » virtual album. I think that my « Underwater » track from the Harmony album is my darkest piece ever, so in a way, I met the rabbit 😁

Definitely some chill elements here with a unique style of drums/percussion. It's interesting because it's dark but not in a way. I often equate my personal stuff with mostly 2 different settings. Music to listen to during the day, and music to listen to at night. There are exceptions that would fit both settings, but it's usually geared towards one or the other. I can see this being listened to at night or day. It has an adventurous type of ambience. You are really great at that, which makes me think you'd be the perfect soundtrack artist for video games or movie settings. That's wild about the dreams man. I'm sure you have a lot to talk about. Unusual stuff for sure. Most of my dreams are utter confusion, and often not very nice. If I had 10 per night, I'd probably lose my marbles. It's great to have a passion like this to express your feelings/experiences. You do that very well. Great track sir!

I often remember my dreams. They’re most of the time funny and full of ludicrous moments. I can see myself laughing in the middle of the night.
I also remember many dreams of the past, even some I had when I was a child, those ones were often darker.

Next time you dream with someone in it, if you can remember this while sleeping, look at them and tell them that they aren't real, then tell me what happens. 😁 Don't forget now.

@nolake I personally don't know much, figures of our imagination I suppose. Though some effects and experiences can be felt in the waking world. I dreamed about real life situations that ended up happening, but only about 3 times in my entire life. They seemed to give me hints about upcoming circumstances. It's always been a fascinating topic.

Awesome track, I found it meditative with repeating patterns. It has a sad vibe, yes, longing for something. This is my impression. Only ten dreams?;) Are you air sign? Usually, air signs have too much in their heads. But again - what is "too much"? Sometimes one or two thoughts are too much.🙃
