Has any team ever had a year like the Don did in 93. Won everything (except leading goal kicker). Ahh memories. Bleeding red n black since ‘83

Michael “Take me on” Long. Champion player. Champion bloke. My, my didn’t he have the afterburners on that finals series. Match winner every game. Silvagni’s response gets me every time. Great clip.

It's amazing, I've seen all those games so many times, but to see all these together you really get a better feel for his dominance of that finals series. Those centre clearances against a pretty powerful Adelaide midfield were just exceptional.

Footy was just so much better to watch in those days. Better game play, physicality and just overall more enjoyable.

Essendon had so many fantastic players come through the club during the 80s and 90s.
What the hell has happened over the last 15 years or so? Very few players come to mind from more recent times.

Lazy, arrogant, complicit leadership, from top to bottom. No accountability. No Pride. For 15-20 years, all we've heard is, 'We're Essendon, We deserve... everything'! What a joke. Now, FINALLY, and thank you to Dave Barham, who had the courage to get rid of dead wood. Mr all talk, Paul Brasher, a toxic, arrogant Xavier Campbell, a couple, but respected legends on the board, that seemed to have, the near enough is good enough attitude. Personally, the last piece of the puzzle that needs to go, is the recruiting manager, Adrian Dodoro. Like him, or hate him, we are in a results based industry, and we've been putrid, the whole time he's been responsible for bringing in talent, time to go. The club, Essendon, seems to have a fresh smell to it, Brad Scott and co, exciting times ahead.
