There were glam metal bands that had similar powerful yet joyful sound, such as Tigertailz, Teeze, Madam X and more, but this kind of glam metal was overshadowed by mellow AOR and hard-rockish variety like Bon Jovi and Cinderella.
Brings back great memories...saw them at Camden Palace supported by early Dogs D'amour...would love that boot...how me and my mate managed to convince our parents to let us go was amazing...my mate was still at school...i had only just left...was worth it though.. a great memory...
These guys did it the right way. Great look,heavy sound,in your face additude. Wish I had a chance to see them back in the 80's,but I don't think they ever made it to the U.S.
Saw these guys play in a bar in Southend (esplanade),when they were restarting after their legal issues, maybe 100 people there, fully decked out show, pyro, confetti bombs and all, still one of the best shows ever even if they did set fire to the celing!

@ironman86wb This lot were contemporaries with Motley Crue, in fact formed before the Crue and were making waves in the Uk before we had heard of the Crue. Remember seeing them in my local dive in 1982/83. They failed to transfer to larger venues.

Ahh I saw all the great thrash bands back in the day,exodus, nuclear assult.. Believe me not many people know more about thrash than me and some people I know.. Vinnie Vincent is my fave guitar player and can wipe the floor with anyone.. Oh and i'll say what I want, when I want!!!!! G*L*A*M* is great!!!!!
it was bands like this that made Motley Crue change their image in '85, cuz they were sick of everyone else (KEEL, Wrathchild, Armored Saint) copping their look. I'll give credit to the band tho, they did write some badass songs and still had that raw punk feel that a lot of bands lost after '85, when they decided to cop the Crue's next look. And the lightning bolt guitar....I want it!
Despite their looks, these guys rocked harder than a lot of the other glam bands of the era. Their sound is very NWOBHM-ish.
