That's why the men of our grandparents generation had natural "game" because it's in your god given design to naturally pursue a mate. If that gets fulfilled and your testosterone depleted with PMO you don't have that desire to pursue connection with a female which your natural biology is telling you you need for a normal dopamine fix. Not to say other factors don't come into play but generally speaking emotionally healthy men are not addicted to PMO since it's generally used as a coping mechanism. I definitely felt a sense of freedom doing that, and I can attest that the lustful thoughts sex drive did go down, but as much as I could see the good in the situation and I know it's ultimately a good thing to do when you're single, it mentally got to me. Like there's these feelings that I've had for my most of my life and suddenly they're not there. It was almost like becoming asexual and it honestly freaked me out. I thought maybe there was something wrong with me for not having those feelings anymore and I ended up stupidly inching my way back to my old habits. Now I'm trying to get back to doing it again and it's reassuring that it's normal to not have the same sexual drive that I had before

Especially as a Christian bc sexual attraction becomes deeper than just the superficial looks.

This was really solid in terms of advice, keeping it 100 and thinking on the topic. Let me just say that it’s perfectly fine to hate porn and want to fight it/flee from it and it’s good to hate sin.
But it’s the Love of God above ALL, that really sets you free. In other words, focusing on solving the porn problem is the wrong focus to have. Focus on a love of God that supersedes and affects every aspect of your life, love him so much that you can’t bear the thought of hurting him with the sin of lust or what have you, and after that everything falls into place.

The rest of the 18 years of my adulthood from 12 to 30 ive gone to porn or sex every other day basically. This is the most difficult thing to a mans existence. My friend keep trying, dont stop, dont give up, you will get there if you keep at it. I was the same and if I can do it then you can too. First time I tried I made it just 2 days. Then the next time, 7 days, then 14, then 20, then 28, then 50, then 70, and when I made it to 70 days(of a 90 day goal)I was so disgusted with myself and felt such deep disappointment at having failed, that it was like rocket fuel for my determination. So next time I got 150 days, even though I had only been aiming for 90. And throughout all of this something internally was being transformed so that now I dont masturbate at all and I would not touch porn if someone paid me $10 million dollars. You'll get there bro, just dont stop attacking this and fighting like your life depended upon it........because it actually does.

Good video. Great topic. What I don’t understand in the Christian community though is if the man isn’t being pleased then we tell the man to handle it on his own and not depend on his wife, but if the woman isn’t being pleased then it’s still on the man to handle it and to not be a “poor spouse”. A decent amount of men without p*rn addictions will still get ED later in their life and they shouldn’t feel worse about not being able to keep up with their wife while women just ignore their husbands for weeks/months and the church never calls them out on it. This goes against what Paul said and we’re losing the “war on marriage” because we’re not being 100% biblical about it.

I know that is different for a lot of you guys, but God has His holy and wise reasons to let some of you struggle with it. Remember His power is made perfect in weakness. But I've struggled with M on and off for 5 years, and I even relapsed into P in 2019. Now, by the grace of God trough Jesus Christ, I have not watched P for 3 and a half years, and I have only fallen into M a few times this year. This is defenitely the year with the least M ever for me since I was saved. It might seem impossible, but by God's grace it is not. Hold on to hope, and just don't give up.

Love you content, I agree that self control is super important and not giving. I to your lust and impulses is important, and that being said, I use to be a bodybuilder and train them in a competitive level, I just want to say that you’ve got a little miss information. The reason the test levels drop is due to unhealthy levels of lower body fat (dropping near death level BF%) to step on a stage. It’s also a proven fact that the fit / macular you are the higher your test levels tend to be. Bodybuilder on a stage is an extreme, and you’re using an extreme case as a baseline which is not correct. Other than that, the message is true, there is a lot of better places to funnel that energy that will not only improve your daily life but also those around you and create a better representation of yourself and as a follower of Christ.

But I have no idea how many decent girls I've missed because I never met them. One thing, though, while I was in a relationship with a decent girl, my mind was never anywhere near the dirty stuff. I was as happy as I could be every day and we stayed pure until she had to move far away and the thing just died naturally. Two things, actually. I struggled against my addiction and kept telling myself I was just not strong enough to overcome the temptation but as soon as I returned to my catholic life, confessed and asked God for help, I didn't even need to think about the struggle anymore because my mind was free. I still have to actively participate and say "no" or look away because the things you were used to won't just walk away. The evil knows what works against you and it will use it to get you, so expect a fight. But in the long run, it's very much worth it!

It's been 9 days since I gave myself to God. I hold every thought captive to make sure they're coming from the father. If a thought does not come from the father then I steer my attention away. My message to anyone struggling with lust is: You cannot do this without God, call out to him "father help me overcome myself, help me overcome my lust. If any thought arises that are not from you I will throw it out like rubbish because you are more important to me than any of my Earthly desires". Keep your mind on him at all times, anything you do, you must do for him. Strive to live as Jesus lived. You can do anything with God on your side. These other people who do not care about God will eventually return to their sin in one way or another. The difference between you and them is you feel bad when you do it, they don't. You are way ahead of them than you think.

The most important thing about fleeing lust is dependence on the Lord for strength. Been married 2 years as of July as a 22 year old, and intimacy is amazing and all, but every day is a fight for me. Psalms 23 “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want” I can wake up and first thing in the morning recognize that my needs are all met in Christ and I am full and content in Him. Thank God for sex but our treasure is ultimately in Christ and the sooner we grasp that as God fearing men, the pull and trap of sexual dependency/addiction has lost its hold

  • @ranezi
    @ranezi Год назад +2

"she's not there as your release valve"
I wouldn't put it that way, but the scriptures have something to say about it and it goes both ways:
    1 Cor 7: 3-5
"Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control."
So we shouldn't deprive our spouses with the exception of doing a time of fast and prayer.
Even if we don't feel like it at that moment, we should absolutely help our spouses if they need sexual intimacy.

Ruslan, your testosterone is at its peak when you’re body fat is at the ideal percentage, between 14-18%, below 14% you’re literally starving (shredded) but not at your athletic peak, above 18% you’re more overweight/obese and not at your athletic peak. So, the most “fit” men do not have low testosterone. Athletes have a higher percentage of fat and a higher testosterone than let’s say a body builder, because a body builder is not at peak performance but at peak asthetic.
Lifting weights will actually increase your testosterone, losing visceral fat around your midsection will increase your testosterone, and effectively your sexy drive BUT… you will also develop discipline through hard work.

Yes, "dieting down" will lower testosterone if you're a bodybuilder getting into single digit bf% bc you're depleting yourself so much. but going from being overweight to being fit will actually increase your testosterone. Generally living a healthy lifestyle; diet, exercise, and sleep will increase testosterone. Which will somewhat increase sex drive but it's still mostly a battle of will power.

Semen retention is meant to be a Hindu practice so it’s not something that any Christian should be doing. Refraining from masterbation and corn is totally about giving up fleshly desires as an act of holiness unto the Lord but semen retention is about gaining some kind of power which isn’t biblical. Fitness and creativity might help with sexual discipline but it can also make it harder as fitness especially is known to improve one’s sexual health making some people feel even hornier. So it’s best just to let God change you from the inside out, when he removes the desire or when he shows you why it’s meaningless to do such fleshy things your deliverance will be more lasting.
But sexual frustration is real so even if you are abstaining some are still having some of the effects of not having sex of sexual releases. I honesty think women might be affected by this more than men as we are the ones with hormone that go up and down, it will might would be a good conversation to discuss.

On the bodybuilder part* I think the real reason why bodybuilders testosterone goes down isn't just working out hard, but it's because they are cutting/not eating much, which starts making the body super stressed. The less nutrients, vitamins, etc you have in your body, it's stressing the body out. This makes your testosterone drop down. But after competition when they start eating properly again and getting adequate rest, that testosterone spikes back up! On Joe Rogan's podcast with Andrew Huberman they were talking about basketball players testosterone dipping very low after playing a numerous amount of games, flying from state to state, causing a lot of stress on the body... but their t levels go back up once they start recovering

In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Well said. I believe Paul understood many things about humanity and sin, which is why he also talked about those who do not have a high sex drive should commit themselves to the ministry and gospel and stay single, while others should be married. It’s obvious that Paul understood that strong sexual urges are to be honored in the context of a marriage. Period.

I agree with the point you are trying to make Ruslan, but the whole more muscle = less (unused) testosterone is not true. In fact, bodybuilders tend to have higher than average testosterone because testosterone is needed for synthesizing the proteins that make up muscle. The same applies in reverse, i.e. if a person has low testosterone, they tend to have difficulty building muscle mass. What you might be thinking of is bodybuilders who are on steroids, who tend to have less endogenous production of testosterone because they are getting it exogenously, therefore endogenous production decreases and the testes tend to shrink as a result over long periods.
