At 12 weeks my ultrasound found some major problems with my baby.
It was discovered that he had trisomy 18 and would probably not survive. I was encouraged to abort but my husband and I said no!
He does the day he was born at 37 weeks. I prayed for him all the time but he went to heaven instead.
God was merciful on my opinion! He could have healed him too, but he took him.
I wonder why he took him instead of healing him but going to heaven is a bonus for him! He didn’t suffer!
I got to experience a lovely pregnancy in spite of the diagnosis.

Jesus specifically condemns those types of relationships. “He did the whole interview without ever mentioning god or the Bible.” - I’d have to disagree with you that this is impressive. The abortion debate is not entirely an intellectual debate, it’s a spiritual one. The problem isn’t that destiny doesn’t intellectually know a fetus is human being, it’s that he suppressed that truth in unrighteousness.
I have to disagree with you and say that God and the Bible need to be brought into this debate if it’s going to be fruitful at all, because he is the only source for knowing that it is wrong at all..
Without Jesus there is no truth. Teaching people morality does not come from just reasoning with them, but from having them reason their way to God.

David Wood made a good point too about how doing our best to care for children with congenital genetic diseases even if they will probably die young as we have seen that new medical technology allows for longer survival and higher quality of life and better medical knowledge and therapies for other people and other diseases because we did our best for those children, whereas if we simply murder these kids we never learn these things, never develop these new medicines/technology, etc. And that child still has way more value than only as an opportunity to discover new medicine too of course, but it's in the attempts to help people that we innovate; the same goes for many other innovations where solving niche, uncommon problems can help also solve more common, general problems

He probably wouldn’t realize that with the same mindset if he was born during racial prejudice times he’d most likely be partaking in that and find it fine.

You can argue that absurdity and truth can align (like Camus would). But, if you follow absurdity (as a truth) you will either lead into cognitive dissonance and intellectual dishonesty (like Sartre) or to remain consistent, you fight against your own moral consciousness (Destinity). Being consistent with absurdity as a truth claim, leads people to deny their own convictions that seem so natural. Which ultimately leads to nilhism, dysfunction and if it effects a society as a whole, destruction.

Neonatal resuscitation is a routine practice in the Neonatal intensive care unit and someone that requires CPR is unconscious. So should we agree that these children have no right to neonatal resuscitation i.e. “treatment” bc they were born unconscious? By destiny’s logic we should. Utterly ridiculous. He tries to speak in an educated manner on things he knows nothing about and hides his lack of knowledge beneath colloquialisms and by trying (and failing) to discredit the opposing evidence. @@dolanridgecommunitychurch7433 Well there must be some kind objective truth out there, all we have are scientific truth which is not the same thing. But most things are subjective.

@@roundtabledetails3307 I appreciate you saying that. I’m an I’m big defender of object truth man. You also have some where not in all cases you have to use subjective truth. That’s all there is in those rare times. But its not my favorite kind of truth. It’s hard to rely on someone emotions, or feelings to make a case for much. People, feelings, and opinions are wishy washy. The full libertarian brain who can’t except any objective truth are the ones that really wear on someone. God bless you and your family.

Abortion have been going on forever nothing new.. times are to easy and that's why people can set around and argue.. G0d does this all the time and nobody gets made. Women just call it a miss carriage

Except that a miscarriage is always tragic because it entails the death of a human being. The difference is that a miscarriage isn’t the fault of an agent, and abortion is.

@@JohnJohn-xb1sn No, blame necessitates culpability, which itself necessitates agency. Without an agent, there is nothing to blame because no will was involved, only contingent events.

Destiny likes to equate a fetus to a dead corpes. A) not the same at all. In fact, they are the complete opposite. Also, I don't think someone who's died necessarily stops being a person. they are just dead people. I do think it is immoral to abuse a dead person. Just because they don't feel or have consciousness doesn't make it permissible. It's wrong and grotesque. People are people because they are humans. Personhood isn't dependent on your stage in life.

Isn't this debate an example of why we shouldn't have bureaucrats making this decision for families? I would hate for either one of these guys to decide on the fate of my unborn child in place of me, my wife, and my doctor
