As a Canadian, I'm completely blown away by the recognition for & very proud of Shane's work! Like the tadpoles, we're a small population in a vast sea of countries. If a picture's worth a thousands words, then let this image speak volumes to the urgency in saving the world's wetlands. 🙏 Additionally, congratulations to the runner ups. You're work is breathtaking and is forever linked to this accolade. May the subject matter for which you're so very passionate about be also recognized for it's importance--because, at the end of our days--THEY ALL MATTER! Congratulations to all!
Thank you for broadcasting the event again in RUclips. It’s so much better to be able to watch the ceremony instead of just watching the photos. I hope you will continue filming the ceremony next year !
Well said!!! I know a lot of photographers are NOT comfortable in front of a camera nor on a stage, so this is both thrilling & terrifying for them to stand up and be recognized. But what an amazing collection of talent & passion!!! As another poster said, in the end, the photos will do the talking 🙂 (But it's great to see the person behind them...just this once!)
Nice event. Awesome photo art but sorry to say that. One of the poorest AV-Productions I have ever seen. Very unpleasant camera Positioning. Bad Audio Production ! For an event that presents the best photo art in the world there should be an adequate AV-Production possible.
There is no real need to do something like this. It can be posted online. Traveling takes time and is huge costly for ones and less for others, you can send an award very well protected internationally. Gathering a lot photographers in one place is just really hard and expensive.
