Absolutely fascinating conversation! It's very hard to find so much intriguing information in a condensed video (both parts). Thank you guys. I know it's not for everyone because they can't keep up, but for us health and anatomy geeks, it's fantastic...almost exhilarating, I must say. I want to share this with others, but sadly, I don't know anyone else interested (or knowledgable) enough to even get through the first 10 minutes. I struggle with the fact that they have no interest in the workings of their own body. Thank you both again, for this wonderful talk!
Absolutely fascinating discussion! Dr. Nabert is a wealth of information and explained things well. My husband has had A-Fib for a number of years. He’s lost over 100 pounds on carnivore lifestyle and is doing well. He’s not on any heart specific meds anymore.
This must scare too many people, to want to hear! I thought more people would comment! I’m so grateful for this video! I have A-fib, and never understood how or why! Thanks to both of you!👍🏻
Quality could be improved if cutting off the answers were reduced. Your mind works faster than the rest of us, and we are fighting commercial interruptions!
This is one of the most important medical videos on RUclips and both parts of this video were frankly among the best interviews of any kind on RUclips. Outstanding.
Brilliant! The back and forth discussion serves a purpose, it brings a better understanding of the subject and showcases the depth of expertise of these two doctors.
I have had an ablation procedure that did put an end to prolonged AFIB episodes, but things really calmed down and never came back when I went on a LCHF diet. I wish I had known that sooner. My phc doctor or cardiologist never talked about diet, only about medication and surgical procedures. We need more people like Dr. Cywes.
I had a catheter ablation 5 years ago and my paroxysmal afib was fixed! Paroxysmal means periodically for the most part. I would go weeks and weeks before having a 15 hour episode or so. Then after a few years the episodes began to be more frequent. Usually two or three times a week for hours at a time. I haven't had one episode since the procedure thanks to Dr Bahu in Phoenix.
Great info, especially when I was just diagnosed (last week) with a thoracic ascending aorta aneurysm, from my first CAC score (60) at age 69. Such great info from you both, and I even learned what is a normal diameter of an aorta is: 3.6cm. I couldn't find that info elsewhere to compare "normal" to my 4.0cm aorta. Anyway, thank you both, I only hope that my cardiologist appt in June will be as forwarding thinking as you two. I don't do statins even with high TC because of low triglycerides and high HDL, and of course the keto, to carnivore health lifestyle that I also do. Again, wonderful video!
Dr. Cywes, I love these talks with Dr. Nabert as I recently got a CAC score of 610 (58 yrs old) and want to learn more. They are informative. But I wish you would stop interrupting him and let him finish his explanations. It seems your interruptions redirect his thoughts and he stops giving a detailed answer. Not criticizing, just asking. Thanks.
I hope the interview will be continue because it stopped just in the middle of the sentence. I am interested in which cardiac enzymes are increased during coronary angiography. For two years I have not consented to undergo coronary angiography CAC 600 because I am afraid that I will have a heart attack during this procedure. ..... maybe my intuition tells me so
I have had AFIB continuous for 2years.They tell me I have no heart disease. I had the nuclear test last year results were A OK. They say the only problem I have is the irregular heart beat. I almost never feel a thing and that's the problem, my Cardiologist wants to do a procedure but because I have no adverse symptoms I am not a candidate for the latest, greatest procedure. I am on 20mg Xarelto and we both agree we hate the meds. So in the end because I am too healthy (except AFIB) medicare will not pay? I do do low carb and incorporate intermittent fasting.I have lost about 70 pounds to date and feel much better. No more snoring and almost no drinking. I"m hoping my diet can get me back in rhythm something Medicare can't do. what is 20 years of monthly Xarellto cost $600 a month X 240 (20) years? I think it's $120,000 at today's prices. Love what you do DOC keep it up.
I have the exact circumstances as you and was prescribed Xarelto to address clotting. I had high blood pressure at that time , I now have normal blood pressure and I attribute my recovery to the use of nattokinase and serrapeptase. Natural enzymes that work as well or better than super expensive pharmaceuticals. Do your own research, the Asian people have taken this in their diets for centuries. Not very expensive either. Hope that helps. Buy yourself a gym membership with your savings 😊
Will soft plaque go away and not calcify if you don’t go on a statin? My 2 CAC scores over a 2 year period has increased 114-148 no new plaque’s and a CT angiogram showed no vulnerable plaque I have been keto pretty much over past 2 years and taking a 5 mg Crestor every 2nd day.

As a RN MSN, I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the information presented in these 2 segments. Thank you for all you do.
I had both A Fib and obstructive sleep apnea in my 40s and 50s. After 5 cardioversions in 10 years, I went low carb in 2010. Zero AFib or apnea since.
Yes I have seen that in my practice also, but unfortunately it is easier to give a pill or do an ablation rather than change diet and lifestyle
Wow! Well done!

Omg where have you been all of my life! I’ve been following Dr Berry,Dr Ekberg,Dr Anthony Chaffee so glad I found you!
Very impressive... Two pros strutting their stuff.. The real deal... Well done gentlemen... Both parts, 1 & 2.

I am enjoying this series of very much. Thank you for asking all the questions in between can’t wait to hear the next part.

Statins increase calcified plaque.
That was phenomenal as I have afib
Great questions and informative answers!
What about the Watchman FLX implant. Can you discuss this new procedure? It is suppose to prevent blood clots. Thank you

What about blood pressure….what would you do if anything if your blood pressure
Is 142/70?
Carnivore / Ketogenic Diet

Strongly suggest a visit w an electrophysiology cardiologist

Does Dr.Cywess approve of eating walnuts , pistachios?
Dude let him finish!!!
Dr. C. Your constant interruption is annoying and distracting and not enjoyable to listen to.
