Great videos by Joe. Very articulate and clear instructions. This is simply the best on youtube. I'm guessing the low views is because the heading is kickboxing and not muay thai. Crazy!
Vanilla Gorilla you can check but you want a bent leg, retracting the lead leg works great as well, from there you can swing your leg back into your stance and pressure, or you can leave it there which leaves you in southpaw

I've been to gyms where they don't stress it, and I've been to a gym when they want the kicking leg very bent like at 30 -40 degrees upon impact with the knee leading the leg. thanks in advance.
Keep stretching every day little by little. Like when you're watching tv just sit on the ground and strecht. Don't kill ur self just up to a slight point of pain.

Every time I use the high guard my head bounces around when I get hit do you have any advice?

every time i move my head back and i feel my lower back is painful ....

just keep kicking and stretching
I practice all of these drills but tend to shell up when sparring. How do I not shell up?
try other guards like the long guard for example
