Main takeaways: Feinting and angles Ability to fight in both stances Confidence of hand fighting Ability to fight moving backwards Ability to defend and counter in various ways Controlling your opponent in the ring or the cage
Absolute amazing advice and instruction. I'm competing in my first kickboxing interclub this Sunday, I'll be sure to refer to this video every day and mentally download this knowledge for my training
Great higher level concepts and advice Joe! Very helpful for a beginner/intermediate student of the game like myself. I'm intrigued by those "step shifting" and "back stepping" moves.
I know kick boxing stance is better for footwork, but i can not use muay thi teep from this stance which takes away my distance controlling, any tips one that?
I learn Taekwondo and we do boxing too (our instructor started off boxing for 6yrs or something then when to TKD). Are these Kickboxing, the martial art skills or Kickboxing the sport skills, OR BOXING skills? I ask becuase I want to compete in Kicboxing using TKD and boxing - but unsure whther to now add Kickboxing or Boxing classes instead?
Kickboxing because thats the rule system u wanna compete, there you mix your tkd background with kickboxing, killer combo 👍 u cant do some boxing moves mainly bobbim and weaving because u guess wrong, get headkicked, kneed etc. Small headmovement is key

hand fighting is so important. imo the most important next to feinting and angling.
