AllGrip AWD is considered as one of the best softcore AWD systems of all time. Change the tires to some good offroad tyres and you are good to go. Wish it got some more power. That 1.0 Boostetjet motor would have been better choice!
No the 1.0 Boosterjet will lack grunt due to the weight of Grand Vitara. The 1.4 Boosterjet will be a better bet. Maruti can use this engine with XL6, Ciaz, Ertiga(if needed), 5 door Jimny. For small cars like Dzire, Swift, Ignis, Brezza and Baleno, the 1.0 Boosterjet will be sufficient(Also works with 3 door Jimny).

NA engines are the best in some situations because of low end pep while Turbo's engines struggle due to lag in low rpm's. Also off roading does not depend on Engine power output otherwise 80bhp Gypsy or 55bhp Mahindra jeeps won't perform great in off-roads.

Because Scorpio is a boat and no sane city person wants to buy one. They would rather buy xuv 700 (25-30L) or jump to fortuner (40L) or now can stay at Vitara (20L)
Still, it would be great if we keep this car away from offloading. Because even if it has AWD, it still doesn't have that much of a ground clearance. And offloading in such low ground clearance will lead to lot of scratches and tear offs that will definitely cost a lot!!

The GV a soft-roader based on a monocoque chassis. It is meant for city folk who occasionally may go for holidays to the hills, through slush,snow etc where AWD will help. Bolero is a ladder chassis, commercial grade vehicle for semi-urban ,rural type of people.

I would say from the first min 1.07 I was disappointed after seeing its effort 🤣🤣😁 , really just like all other AWD only this too . Just look wise it good .
From my understanding AWD powers all four wheels all the time whereas 4WD or 4x4 gives power to the four wheels on demand then when not need for extra power it will revert to FWD or RWD dependent on how the car is setup.

This is an amazing system but probably the 103ps engine isn't able to do full justice to the AllGrip system that the 1.4l 127bhp booster jet does.

NA engines are better for Offroad. Wish it had 8-9 more hp tho. A bit more torque would have made it competent too
The gypsy which is lauded as an offroader and used by the army till date came with an 82hp engine. An even lower 67bhp engine in the carburrated days
