I never fully noticed the symbolism of Ventus' keyblade breaking when he's thrown from the cliff. For the first time ever (when this game out) we see a Keyblade get broken, and if Aqua didn't catch Ventus he would've easily shared the same fate. Really emphasises how evil Xehanort actually is in this trailer. Wish the final game was as dark and gritty as this trailer made it out to be, but still love it.
Not really... if he killed Ventus his plan would have been shattered too, he needed him to complete his goal of making the X-Blade But well... at the end nobody dies on this series, just the villains, Xehanort and Eraqus.
This Master Xehanort > the one in Dream Drop Distance. Raising mountains, spawning Keyblade twisters, and making peoplesicles = epic and original =/= time-traveling Horcruxes.
I just can‘t stop watching this over and over again. It‘s perfect and really one of the best fighting scenes in the whole series! And the music is gold T-T

Man how time flies. I remember seeing this trailer so many times back when I was 14-15, and this was just a trailer a couple years after I saw this back when youtube was still young. Thought this was amazing, and still do. I think this was where I started questioning a few things from kh2. Plus lol I thought this was officially kh3 when i saw this. Good times.

Even knowing the story and because these three friends fight desperately against this old man, who in every aspect seems invincible and is about to unleash something legendary in that forgotten land. And, Xehanort won, he got his way. The only thing Terra, Aqua and Ventus did here was delay it. As for Ven, it makes you sad to know that he comes from a distant past, where his parents and closest friends turned to dust. To be in such a distant future and only to continue suffering in an endless battle against the Darkness. At least he has the consolation of not remembering anything, otherwise he would be suffering for everything he left behind and lost.
This game is the best one in the entire Kingdom Hearts franchise in my opinion, I like the darkness and realism of it. BBS reminds me of "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith", but it's much better, great trailer.
I think the Square enix had realy taked inspiration from that movie for the game. There is also Mark Hammil (Luke Skywalker) who make the voice of the master Eraqus in Birt by sleep and in Kingdom hearts 3 too.

When I saw this at release I thought Kingdom Hearts was the best franchise ever. I thought this was Kingdom Hearts 3 and that in the end the reveal was adult Sora. I wonder where the series went wrong, it had so much potential, still has if they pick up the pieces but the story was too spread out in platforms and in the end I didn't play Kingdom Hearts 3, and apparently it wasn't as good.

Technical limitations (and to a small extend bad writting) kind of ruined this scene in birth by sleep, It just doesn't feel as exciting.
