actually almost 100% sure that's what's going on since he said "i accidentally wandered into this place and went through some trials." just like Sora did when he was a little kid. sora "exists" in yozora's world, but as a different version of sora, so when he saw the sora that we know, he didn't recognize him and proceeded to attack him cause he figured the real sora was being trapped in another world by the sora we know. this is why i presume kingdom hearts 4 has a complete redesign of sora (which i personally do not like) to put emphasis on the story that sora was never living on "destiny islands" it was just a place for lost souls/hearts to congregate and the world that yozora is in is the "real world" at least this is what i can surmise from the bits and pieces.

Yozora has 20 goddamn health bars. That's the largest amount of health a Kingdom Hearts boss has ever had. The only other boss who has that much health is the Demon Tide. Even the Lingering Will only had 17 bars.
I actually remember late 2000's-early 2010's, when you looked up "kh3 trailer" on RUclips, it would be a bunch of people putting the title over the versus xiii trailer as clickbait. I wonder if square intentionally circulated that, or if they took the idea into consideration.
To be completely and absolutely fair! Terra did that to Zack. Sora did that to Aqua. Riku did that to Sora when Ventus's armor was corrupted. Aqua tried doing that to Terranort multiple times. The gang did that to everyone during the fight with the 13 darknesses. While it doesn't work 100% of the time, it's apparently still a viable option.
I think I finally get what he meant. The reason he attacks OUR Sora is because HE isn't the "Sora" he was tasked to save. Yeah, so... that girl our Sora was talking to must also be named "Sora". She is the one Yozora is trying to save. OUR Sora just walked into the line of fire without even realizing he accidentally became an obstacle for Yozora.

If Sora loses, then he needs to actually save Sora. That's why when you beat him he says that weirdly vague line about Sora not needing his power yet.
Honestly I feel that it was because he knows that Sora isn't Sora see we all know Darkness takes form of us humans or he layers whatever you want to call him in the game I think personally Sora is the darkness and he just doesn't remember and the more he goes through all this the more it's going to get unlocked and we find out who the real main character AKA Kyrie is in the game and now it's a little far-fetched but I don't I don't know something is just telling me that we are the bad guys
At the end of the fight, I feel kind of touched at how despite having lost to him, he still gives a very small smile to Sora, acknowledging him as the victor of the battle. They're both the main characters of great epic stories, kindred spirits, and Yozora easily sees that regardless of the differences between the two of them.
I think it doesn't matter which ending is canon. They both are. When Sora and Yozora meet again they will talk about their fight without mentioning the winner.
Am i the only one thinks that his attack pretty much like sans from undertale too? Like even his first attack didn't show no mercy whatsoever, can even kill you if you didn't guard it
kinda almost anathema to the whole KH way of the world. Literally near EVERYTHING down to attacks and healing are spells/magic. The keyblade itself is a magic weapon; Yozora meanwhile has an entire ARSENAL of purely TECH based weaponry/attacks. Sora has a variety of spells down to the elements of nature, Yozoras attacks, while VAST, all still seem based around the concept of technology, and doesn't has variety in the way of things like elements. He don't NEED that, don't get me wrong, lol
It's just lasers, bait attacks and warping. LW is so much better with unique never before seen moves. We already seen laser attacks, and warps in KH2 and 1. We saw bait attacks in Phantom Aqua. Yozora does nothing new that we have already seen in the past.

This has a double edge sword feel to me, it's nice that there are clearly plans that are gonna go big for this series, but the blue balling does get a little annoying after awhile

So, as some of you know, the KH4 reveal came out yesterday April 10th. If you pause at 11:15 you’ll see that building says “104”. In other countries, the dates are written like 10/4 instead of 4/10. It fuckin told us when the reveal for KH4 was gonna be three years ago.
Funny coincidence but 104 is actually a reference to the shopping mall 104 from The World Ends With You (which is almost certainly where this fight takes place as TWEWY was in Kingdom Hearts 3D) which in itself is a noncopyright reference to the IRL mall 109 in Shibuya.

@@ultimachain8677 See... if you said something like this 6 months ago, I'd agree. Majority of these fights tailor well to KH3's combat and we're already seeing varying strategies on how to approach these bosses in the first week.
The trick to no-damaging this boss is pretty awesome in its simplicity - sit back and play defensively, and memorize the boss' patterns. When the game seems to be all about rushing in and performing long, flashy combos, you have resist the temptation to counter after every Guard or Dodge Roll until the absolutely _perfect_ opportunity arises - and that's not always clear! I can't imagine how many takes were needed to get this one perfect run.
@@eliasacevedo5711 CGInferno did a great job too. But he was at level 99. Even with all pro codes, one combo literally did an entire bar of damage. I'm hunting for the video of the guy who does yozora level 1 crit all pro codes

I love seeing all the extra openings you've found in these fights. I found many during my level 99 standard mode run, but in this fight... dang. I didn't know about any of those attacks during that long DM! GGs on all this, and I look forward to your level 1 fight and your restriction fights!
I really like that this fight is equally weird if you look at it from Yozora's perspective. We think that Sora's words make sense because we know his journey and we have the info he does. But from Yozora's point of view what Sora is saying is some strangely prophetic knowledge for this random guy to have. Sora is Yozora's "end game secret boss" as much as Yozora is ours.
This is crazy like, some of these shots of yozora (noctis) are so reminiscent of video/screenshots from YEARS ago...back when ffXV was still called versus or whatever that was supposed to be....bruh what in gods name has nomura been cooking up all these years....
Yozora is definitely the ultimate boss of the Kingdom Hearts series. Also, Yozora better be in the next mainline game after being hinted at the end of both this game's main DLC and Melody of Memories. If we don't play as Sora, it better be Riku, Kairi, or even Yozora. Also, side note, Kairi seems seems to be becoming faster than Riku and Sora ever were giving the phantom Xehanort a surprise.

When I fought Riku, Xion, and Siax was hard. This guy is on another level. Kh did a good job with this one. They need to keep KH bosses like this in the game, and I love his music

This fight is supposed to represent, in one way, the internal conflict and, in another, the “trials” or “hoops” Nomura went through to produce FFV13 while fighting to finish KH3 while deciding which one was more important. He had to choose, literally, between continuing to fight for FFV13 to be what he wanted vs. finishing KH3 at some point. He did all this, offered so much resistance, (hence the length and difficulty of the fight) to only to have FFV13 put back in the same place it came from, his *Mind* , by the resistance he met by his obligation to KH3! Live on, Nomura. I know you’re a heaven-send for gaming!
I do believe that FFV13 is what Nomura wanted for Kingdom Hearts, all along, thus the “true” Kingdom Hearts and why Yozora, who’s probably the true image of Sora Nomura wanted but was “too dark” a protagonist for Disney, doesn’t recognize Sora. Though the body of this Sora is the same, it seems his essence is missing. Furthermore, Yozora was sent to “Save Sora”, not in heroic fashion alone, but the image of what Sora really is in Nomura’s mind! Thus, *ReMind* him and us of his heart! I imagine his desired development for Sora, was a combination of Sora + Riku, but wasn’t allowed, so he split the characters!

So, as some of you know, the KH4 reveal came out yesterday April 10th.
If you pause at 11:15 you’ll see that building says “104”. In other countries, the dates are written like 10/4 instead of 4/10. It fuckin told us when the reveal for KH4 was gonna be three years ago.

But hey it's Nomura after all so you never know! I'd personally would love to see Sora fight besided Neku or even Rindo at some point in the future ^^

The trick to no-damaging this boss is pretty awesome in its simplicity - sit back and play defensively, and memorize the boss' patterns. When the game seems to be all about rushing in and performing long, flashy combos, you have resist the temptation to counter after every Guard or Dodge Roll until the absolutely _perfect_ opportunity arises - and that's not always clear! I can't imagine how many takes were needed to get this one perfect run.

@@eliasacevedo5711 CGInferno did a great job too. But he was at level 99. Even with all pro codes, one combo literally did an entire bar of damage. I'm hunting for the video of the guy who does yozora level 1 crit all pro codes

I love seeing all the extra openings you've found in these fights. I found many during my level 99 standard mode run, but in this fight... dang. I didn't know about any of those attacks during that long DM! GGs on all this, and I look forward to your level 1 fight and your restriction fights!
I really like that this fight is equally weird if you look at it from Yozora's perspective. We think that Sora's words make sense because we know his journey and we have the info he does. But from Yozora's point of view what Sora is saying is some strangely prophetic knowledge for this random guy to have. Sora is Yozora's "end game secret boss" as much as Yozora is ours.
Yozora definitely deserves his own game.

Yozora is definitely the ultimate boss of the Kingdom Hearts series. Also, Yozora better be in the next mainline game after being hinted at the end of both this game's main DLC and Melody of Memories. If we don't play as Sora, it better be Riku, Kairi, or even Yozora. Also, side note, Kairi seems seems to be becoming faster than Riku and Sora ever were giving the phantom Xehanort a surprise.

That is such a beautiful boss fight
This fight is supposed to represent, in one way, the internal conflict and, in another, the “trials” or “hoops” Nomura went through to produce FFV13 while fighting to finish KH3 while deciding which one was more important.
He had to choose, literally, between continuing to fight for FFV13 to be what he wanted vs. finishing KH3 at some point.
He did all this, offered so much resistance, (hence the length and difficulty of the fight) to only to have FFV13 put back in the same place it came from, his *Mind* , by the resistance he met by his obligation to KH3!
Live on, Nomura. I know you’re a heaven-send for gaming!
I do believe that FFV13 is what Nomura wanted for Kingdom Hearts, all along, thus the “true” Kingdom Hearts and why Yozora, who’s probably the true image of Sora Nomura wanted but was “too dark” a protagonist for Disney, doesn’t recognize Sora. Though the body of this Sora is the same, it seems his essence is missing.
Furthermore, Yozora was sent to “Save Sora”, not in heroic fashion alone, but the image of what Sora really is in Nomura’s mind! Thus, *ReMind* him and us of his heart!
I imagine his desired development for Sora, was a combination of Sora + Riku, but wasn’t allowed, so he split the characters!
