simply class!!! I remember staying over my nan's house all those years ago in the 70s and we stayed up late to watch these amazing vocalists, TMT on telly.... amazing group
They are amazing, Man.T for ever !
I have been a fan for years. The point is Man Tran can deliver a stylistically spot on performance for virtually any sort of vocal music. Their professionalism really are awesome. I wish they would come back to the UK one more time.
A great epk promo of this amazing group. Thanks for posting.
I remember their live performance on the beach in Positano (Naples, Italy) in 1997...very amazing! I love them!!!
I always loved them!! Thanks for posting this!!
very nice "medley" -- you did a great job producing this
A comment and a question.
This group has been my favorite for a long, long time. They have a vast range, and an endless repetoire. Every song in every performance is done full out. Their energy is always up. It's like this is their first week of preformances instead of their thirtieth or so year.
My question: There are negative comments about people not liking their style. I don't get it. Why bother listening?
VERY GOOD, FANTASTIC!!!
Love the Swing Album.
Awesome group-one of my faves.
I just noticed that even they had big hair in the 80s-well except for Tim. lol
Cool video, cool group. :-)
Manhattan Transfer are a Singing Group who are Talented Enough to Sing All kinds of Music Genres.
Nicely done!
i've been a long time fan and this video reminds me of why
"The Last Time I Saw Jeannine" is the title. I have a recording of this made in Tokyo during the 1970's.
Soul Food to Go is great!!!
If anybody has this video please post!!
@Cousin95Dupree It is Groovin', originally done by the group "The Rascals". Appears on Manhattan Transfer's album called Tonin'. Enjoy. Jim
Hey ImFire, That is Jeannine (originally an instrumental by Duke Pearson, hopefully I got that right) ... one of their best vocalese performances dating waaaaay back. It's available on a couple of their albums; Bop Doo-Wopp and a live album Man-tora from 1983 (well, at least that's when the performance was :) They also do it on a video that is long out of print when they performed at the Park West in Chicago in 1980. It was featured in a PBS Soundstage program back then.
thanks very much for this video :)
AAAA++++ Great Stuff!!!!
The music is good for " Adlicious" !!!
@spockster59 Thanks.
@wellesradio That was their Soul Food To Go video. I don't actually have that whole clip. I know at one time someone had it out here on youtube but not sure if it is still available.
Hoy ang kaintiende bilyar amat-amat na ...!!!
Great video.
I was just wondering (I apologise if someone has already asked this) but what is the name of the song at 2:45?
Thanks.
@spockster59 Very short clip at 3:30
Say when I clicked on the link to this video it showed them as puppets. Where's that clip?
so, who cares about your opinion? If you don't like it, go directly to your metal/grunge artists and find your type of blend...
i never liked them. i think it was their blend and tone i didnt like.
