So nice hearing details about the design of a faction in more detail. Imagine designers being credited and talking in depth about what they work on. Crazy concept for some companies 😂
The Sorcerer Kings are such a wonderful and unique faction. You don't often see to much influence from India in the Tabletop Wargames space and only a marginal bit more of Arabic or Mongolian design influence. I am really glad to see a fantasy army pulling from those cultural design-space. I look forward to seeing the Earth and Water elements added to the Sorcerer Kings and to see the arrival of the Tribes in the future! I genuinely enjoy being able to see behind-the-scenes of game, model, and faction design. Leo provided some great insights into the design process for Conquest. I particularly enjoyed his discussion of Rituals and how Para Bellum approaches design from the perspective of verisimilitude in Eä. Could you please have him on as an interview guest again? He was great!
It's always a pleasure to learn how the meat is made. There's a lot of great design coming out of Conquest, and it feels like other companies are noticing
@@bombarded15 The new edition of Star Wars Legion has all your units start the game off the board, which caught my attention. There's been a couple other things I've noticed lately, but I'll be damned if I remember them. Nothing terribly substantial admittedly, just a little background radiation to make me wonder.
I was at the Salt Lake Open and para bellum was there and doing conquest demos. I HAD A BLAST. Got to learn a lot about conquest, I have a first blood box of SK. Winning this would be so awesome to help me get going more. Thanks for the awesome information on them.
it's cool to hear when developers/designers are given room to breath and make things work for both game and faction. This faction may make an allied army a truly unique thing as well ...
I am just getting into first blood and while I love Old Dominion and have built that FB started I have an SK FB started to build next. Really like the faction and looking forward to seeing what comes next for them. Hearing about the design was fascinating and I love the give and take you guys are discussing.
Given how well they've handled the design for each faction I hope they one day release a faction based on Japanese folklore (onis, tengus, hannyas, etc.)
Sorcere kings was certainly on the shortlist of factions for me to start Conquest with :) In the end a sale just before SK where released for infantry boxes made me decide to get a City States hoplite box, since the deal was pretty sweet :D
This interview was pretty nice. It dles make me a bit nervous how much they emphasized fire/air working together and earth/water. How well will earth and air work together? Will a 4 element list be viable or just for funsies?

Para bellum were at gencon. Fantastic people. You can see the passion each of them have for it. Makes ALL the difference!
I enjoy how large the models are. They are a pleasure to assemble and paint.

Love the look of the sorcerer kings.
My thanks to Leo for an excellent rundown of the design philosophy. I really appreciate understanding how the army came about.
I love the aesthetic of the Sorcerer Kings! They have done such a wonderful job with their look and style! Love the lore as well!
I can not wait to see the Water and Earth models and rules 😉
Great conversation, cool to see. This army may get me to buy the game so looks like win-win for you and your guest 😝

What figure lines have you felt seemed influenced by Parabellums designs?

Feels so rare to hear designers talk about how they came to make a faction. I love it.
It's fantastic that the designers share so much detail with the community
Hearing the design concepts behind the army is great! Definitely gives me a great feeling for what is to come for the Sorcerer Kings.

It's cool that Sorcerer Kings have a whole new mechanic to build a deck again. This makes the armies really different and how you plan your moves.
Need a week for every faction, this content is great!
It's really cool to actually see this sort of interview. The Sorcerer Kings are such a cool faction.
It's good to hear that the quality of the faction is as much defined by what is left out as what stays in.
It is amazing to hear how the faction is grown so organically.
The Mahut got even cooler now!

Love the design from the faction and interesting to see how the game designers approached the project.
Looking forward to paint your models😀
Always interesting to hear how they took historical inspiration and mixed it with a bit of creativity to create something grand.
its nice to see how much for thought goes into a game design
Now gonna watch and see about the concept and cool stuff. Looking forward to it!
Amazing insight into the design of the playstyle of this wonderful faction
The faction has so many unique types of units and figures, but they all blend together well as a force.
Really like how they have differentiated them from other factions, really unique!
I like the look of the factions cant wait to see how the other elements will look like. 🎉

This is such a cool faction! Really love the feel of it!
The Sorcerer Kings are a very interesting faction. I'd love to try playing them.
Gorgeous models, and I'll absolutely be picking these up, despite Old Dominion being my current main.
It's a great army with a great theme that has never been done before
Given how well they've handled the design for each faction I hope they one day release a faction based on Japanese folklore (onis, tengus, hannyas, etc.)
Absolutely awesome ❤
ABsoluteyl love the Aesthetic of this Army, this has been really interesting ot hear how they operate

Very cool theme and aesthetic for an army! Looking forward to seeing Earth.
Cool interview. Like the way you gave him a lot of time to talk

Looking forward to the other courts and some cavalry units.
These spellcasters are so awesome
Can't wait to see the aestethics for earth elemental stuff.
Fascinating insight
Really interesting video on some cool miniatures

I love the Conquest minis. Don't know anything about the actual game.
Awesome. This is the faction my girlfriend chose.

There are people that have a face for radio
