Kurds are ethnically Iranian tho that’s a fact. My moms family are from Bukan and my cousins are Sanandaj my dads family are from Azerbaijan of Iran Tabriz. We are all proud Iranians
True, but according to some ancient Hebrew writings, the Persians, Mitanni, Medes - Kurds, etc., were a mix of Semitic women and Indo - Aryan males (haplogroup R?) with Madai as their progenitor (who came from the far north - west with his Semitic wife) and settled amongst the family of Arpachshad, progenitor of the Chaldeans, Hebrews - and Israelites, and a brother of Madai's wife). Madai's male offspring, who mingled with the daughters of Arpachshad, became the Medes, and those who later (predominantly) mingled with the daughters of Elam (another son of Shem, whose offspring partly settled in India, hence the "Elamo - Dravidian" language family) - became the Persians. Another Semitic - Japhethic mix are e.g. the Mitanni and various modern day people like the Balochis, Pashtuns, Kalash, some Turkic tribes (e.g. the Ingush) and the Turks from Turkey in general, and Indians - with varying Semitic and "Japhethic" admixtures.... However, the Indians seem to have also a very strong Kushitic influence, especially in the south.

there is a population at caucasia. I wonder if their culture is different than common kurdish culture since most of caucasian people have a common local culture rather than each their own ethnic based culture?
@Ƥriꪀᥴꫀ ꪮᠻ Ƥꫀrડiค Of course. If an ethnic group has a culture, it is their culture. So, any culture that kurds would have is kurdish culture. What I meant is that, in some geographical places, the root of the culture is not about ethnicity, but geography itself. For example, most of caucasian cultures are similar. However, there are lots of different ethnicities in caucasia. Ossetian people's traditional clothes are much more similar with circassian people's or karachai people's than persian people's. However, ossetians are iranian people. I wonder, if kurdish people that lives nearby caucasia have common caucasian culture.
@Ƥriꪀᥴꫀ ꪮᠻ Ƥꫀrડiค You? 🤣 This was the name of Siberian nomads born in Siberia in an icy climate, or between Siberia and eastern Europe. They were all a mixture of Western-Eastern ancient Eurasians. Open a video about Tatars and see how much you look like Scythians.
@Ƥriꪀᥴꫀ ꪮᠻ Ƥꫀrડiค In other words, you are saying that your direct ancestors were born in Altai and inhabited convenient pockets around western Siberia, and eastern Europe. Not bad. 😂
@Ƥriꪀᥴꫀ ꪮᠻ Ƥꫀrડiค Kurds aren't Iranian people. We aren't part of the Iranian people ethnolinguistic group. Even Kurdish language’s situation is different and it's ergative language like Hurrian, Caucasus and Urartian. Acording to Nicholas Marr, Kurdish language just influenced Indo European languages and indo europeanized because mixed with different cultures
The descendants of Medes are all Northwestern Iranians. Its impossible to make a link between Median language and any modern language. There’s just no evidence for it. I like to think the Medes were just gradually absorbed into Persian and other Iranian groups. Today, most of their descendants probably speak Farsi, like Cyrus The Great 2,500 years ago.
Persians are South-Westerns not North-Western, so the Medes are not the ancestors of the South-Westerners of Iran. However, some of their descenance speak Farsi, as we all know that ethnicity is different that linguistic and cultural identity.
@@kawa99 I was referring to Persians residing in North-Western Iran. Not all Persians only reside in the South-West. You're thinking of the linguistic branch of Iranian languages which only originated there. A lot of time has passed, and everyone is mixed by now anyways. People have been migrating and mixing for thousands of years now. Culturally, linguistically, genetically, were all mixed. Nobody is pure anything.
The people of southeastern Europe, the Caucasus, Anatolia and the Levant have similar cultures, especially in terms of food and dances. None have stolen from each other, but have been inspired, perhaps even by an ancient civilization as an ancestor that culturally connects the people there.
We are mostly native middle eastern people influenced by iranic migrants from east of iran genetically speaking. Isn't it apparent from our looks that we aren't 'pure aryan'? We do have some slight steppe admixture according to G25 though.
Nope we kurds are not turkic neither we look turkic. We do not have small eyes. Turkic people have small eyes. Turks are from central asia and we kurds are in the middle east since 4000 years. We kurds are hurrian/indo iranian. We are the descends of kyaxares last mannaen king(hurrian) and first median king
My mom is Kurdish from Bukan and my cousins are from Sanandaj both are cities in Iran. Kurds are a Iranian ethnic group. And, Kurdish language is a Indo European language like Farsi.
I think it's confusing to say Iranian instead of Iranic. Iranic yes but Iranian no, since that would imply that our nationality is Iranian. That's wrong since most Kurds live outisde of Iran. Iranic yes. And what does that mean? Our language shares a root with Persian and Luri. However it doesn't mean we are Persian like some are claiming. In fact, we are culturally very distinct from anyone in my opinion. I grew up in a Kurdish family so I know what I'm talking about
Not all. There are good faithful people who are Muslims. Plus, Islam doesn't prevent you from what makes you happy so as long as it is not harmful. If drinking alcohol, premarital sex, taking drugs....etc. are part of the Kurdish culture, then it isn't worth to be known and it is indeed anti-Islamic.
Is that why the arabs gave a kurd the nickname The Righteousness of the Faith to Yusef Ayubi aka Salahadin? Is that why Turkey treated kurds as 2nd class citizens and oppressed them when they didn't accept the secular anti-islam leader Mustafa Kemal? In those days one wanted to get a islamic scholarship the only place was the kurdish populated areas of Turkey. Everywhere else it was prohibited, it was looked down for women to even wear hijab, most kurdish women got kicked out of working places because of this, others got ridiculed and got theirs ripped of their heads. In the same turkey that today pretends to be the pillar of islam. Also Turkey is still ruled by maffias and to this day still earns money by selling drugs and take a big part of human trafficking of sex slaves to it's whorehouses like the had in the age of their sultans. Do you see any of this in Kurdistan? No. But look at Iran (they made prostitution legal by paying 1h, 1day, 1 week long "marriages"), Bahrain(nr 1# sin city in the world), Albania(maffia makes the rules here), Turkey (How much alkohol does this country produce?), Iraq(underground gay bars), Syria (ISIS) and all kind of sins are committed in broad day light. Saudi (Still uses slaves "foreign workers") So take you anti-kurdish propaganda and shove it somewhere the sun don't shine, if you think you have the moral high ground above us.
Yes, we are, particularly in eastern Turkey and northern Syria. Basically the regions where advancements in agriculture and livestock development occurred several millenniums ago.
@@romanhama5377Domestication started In Zagros mountains 11 000 years ago. Majority of Kurds have higher Neolithic farmers from Zagros rather than Anatolia.
@@matrixxx3662 Yes, that´s why the Assyrians often referred and used the word to describe Kurds with also the word that they used for nomads 2000 B.C. This is all ahistoric rubbish.
It is already genetically proven that Kurds belong to the Iranian groups, and their presumably closest ancestors were the Medes....
Kurds are Indo European, (Indo Aryan / Iranic) Japheth not Semitic people !
In other words - the whole Middle East and South - West - Asia is a melting pot of all the three sons of Noah...

there is a population at caucasia.
@Ƥriꪀᥴꫀ ꪮᠻ Ƥꫀrડiค You mean you're a self-proclaimed random Asian, nothing to do with Turkic who are Scythians. It's true.

Kurdish are just Muslim by names but teir culture is totally against islam
Saudi (Still uses slaves "foreign workers")
So take you anti-kurdish propaganda and shove it somewhere the sun don't shine, if you think you have the moral high ground above us.
