The Kurdish Female Guerrillas Fighting ISIS (Warzone Documentary) | Real Stories

  • Опубликовано: 4 сен 2024
  • This documentary travels deep into the mountains and deserts of Kurdistan, where armed female guerillas from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) defend Kurdish territory against ISIS. These women share their most intimate thoughts with filmmaker Zaynê Akyol, resulting in an immersive audience experience. By offering a window into this largely unknown world, the film exposes the hidden feminist face of a revolutionary group united by a common vision of freedom.

What an amazing group of people. The Kurdish are like no other. They refuse to kneel to the persecution they have received from three neighbouring powers and just keep on with their lives. I'm a man and the feminist aspect of their society is what I find to be most empowering. No other kand in that region wouldallow a woman anywhere near a gun. But here we have battle hardened female veterans. Long live the Kurds. God i hope they can gain their own homeland. No people deserve it more.

Yeah I also read that Kurds are fighting over 50 years against the Turks. Qhere the Turks has modern planes drones en very good tanks. They still cant defeat the kurds. Its only show that the kurds are willing to get their country.
But they want 1 thing above a country. They want peace, they want to have the right to speak a kurdish language in Turkish schools. They want the right to move freely with a kurdish flag with out beated by turks nationalists.
For me in the EU. I hope that all muslims turks kurds arabs live one day in peace. Its sad that there its so much war in the middle east. My prayers go to all the innocent people in the middle east.

@@twistedyogert As an Iranian I need to add that other than the fact that this is part of being Kurdish to be strong and never to bow down to evil and how they pretty much expect and teach their children from the start to be strong and be warriors and the fact that they treasure their roots and Persian culture they come from and do not want to give them up because some fascist regime is trying to strip all Iranians including kurdish people of their true identities, those of them that are in Iran (or are Iranian kurds no matter were they are) need to be strong because in Iran people overall are trapped under that arab-born islamic dictatorship regime and while all of them in their own ways do revolt from times to time (like the bloody protests of the past decades where they were mass killed by that regime when they tried to kick that islamic fascist regime out and make their country free of islamics again) but Kurdish people being taught what they're taught and having more bravery and warrior-type mindsets and being aware of their true identities as Iranians and treasuring Persian values such as feminism, animal rights, environmental rights, freedom, justice and fairness and ... are of course more likely to fight and fight harder and properly resist that fascist regime even if that required them to grab guns. As a result of that those islamic fascists of the regime of Iran are more scared of kurdish people in Iran compared to the rest of the groups and hence zoom in on them often with their oppressing and barbaric methods of oppression and while the rest of the Iranians are doing their best to prevent that, there goes a lot of attacks on kurdish people that are being kept hidden from the rest of Iranians. So because of all these, kurdish people in Iran are for sure one of the bravest and strongest groups.

"But they want 1 thing above a country. They want peace, they want to have the right to speak a kurdish language in Turkish schools. They want the right to move freely with a kurdish flag with out beated by turks nationalists." Any kurdish people can do all those in Iran. Kurdish people by roots are Iranian and all true Iranians hold them dear as the brave strong and the more-Iranian people they are and for sure treasure them as their countrymates. The problem in Iran though is its arab-born fascist dictator regime that is crushing all Iranians, kurdish people included and sadly despite the attempts and deep wish of all true Iranians that regime after half a century is still there ruling and causing as much genocide against Iranians and ruins against Iran and any living souls on it as possible with the international community doing nothing but attacking Iranians instead of providing any help to kick that fascist regime out of the country and live in peace like before that messed up regressive islamic cancerous revolution.

Everyone needs peace! Everyone needs their human rights! If someone is fighting for their rights, then there was an injustice. Check what happened to them. The source shouldn't be your media but real people who experienced all those injustices. Do your research. Maybe you lived with so many lies. Maybe the media in your country fooled you. You ll never know till you hear the real story from real people.

You're racist and ignorant by that last line. And many countries in the middle east are not even by default islamic and had Arabs force their rancid islam on them like Iran. Kurdish people are also Iranian by roots and culture. Iran of them all deserves way better and for sure deserves all its even past lands and for sure deserved better than racist illiterates like you disrespecting them when they themselves have been the most oppressed most harmed groups in all history but somehow the world not only not see facts but even attack them instead of helping to save them and their countries. And Kurdish people do have their lands in Iran. They're cities where almost everyone there are kurds and all of them combined are called Iran's KURDISTAN. Learn some facts before talking.
