What I liked about this documentary is that the reporter didn't try to make them look like stupid or out dated because of how the do things, she was very respectful, I do not agree with the way they do it but I don't make them look stupid
M.E.F Djell well I have never seen a Muslim making a documentary about Americans and Europeans, mating before marriage and actually coming to USA or Europe spending time with people asking: but why? Before marriage? But isn't that Strange? Back at home we don't do that! How do you feel about it? That would be call terrorism actually... but that is what American reporters and European reporters do all the time... plus once in edition they love to make them look stupid...
I have yet to see 1 girl get more than 8 boyfriends. However i have seen 2 girls go for 7 before 17. Actually, 1 was before 15 because she was stupid. And yes it was stupidity and not mental illness
these arrangements where parents has the final decisions based on how many gold coins one party can pay the other is really uncomfortably strange to me.
it depends on the family tbh. my friend's mehr was a cat lol that's all she wanted. it can be anything and its more like a gesture that the guy will make an effort and care for the girl. some families take it a bit far though and it gets weird hhhh

@@memoranda1 No it does not. Your information clearly comes from western propaganda and depth of your own ignorance. At least travel to Muslim countries and ask 99 percent of men how many wives they got... As for the minority, you will find that literally in any western country and Asian non muslim society as well.
@@memoranda1 it doesn't encourage having more than one wife except for the times of necessity. Some men phycologically have the capacity and financial ability to get at last 4 wives(allowed in islam). The discussion is a bit delicate. If you're interested contact me.
Im Iranian, I remember that 3 years ago matchmakers came to our university(shahid beheshti university) and promoted the matchmaking website. Btw, families in Iran really do have a big influence on their children’s marriage. I once wanted to get married to a guy that I loved but my family didn’t let us to get married because of different social class. From then on I reject any proposer that my family introduces to me.
@emosh73 I live in US and unfortunately I'll see majority of women here, maybe not whore! but very dis-faithful. I don't say all of them since I know some are caring, but most of them, men and women are into having sex with different partners, even when they are married and it seems it became some sort of social norm here, there is no shame in it anymore and they tell you, "You're married? so what?!!"
Such a beautiful country with such beautiful inhabitants. Very interesting to view. Zohre & Ali are such a sweet & beautiful couple & i'm so happy that this story had a happy ending. My very best wishes to Zohre & Ali & i hope that thus far, their marriage has been a wonderful & enjoyable journey. May their future be very bright, even bigger & better. Thanks for sharing & my best wishes to all. Much love & Peace to Iran & it's people.
But would they show it in Iran? Or would they show it impartially? As you've seen for yourself, they are already telling young Iranis that the divorce rate is 93% and it's simply not true! By the way, I loved all of the young people in this film, they are all beautiful and I wish them well. Please don't think that westerners will see this as a negative portrayal of Iran. Your traditionalism is to some of us charming and well mannered :-)
@@MonkeymagicsMum yes, they will watch it, and find it more interesting because its stereotypes they can relate to their reporters would document and clear misconceptions. And only their reporters will know what those stereotypes are.
This episode is heartwarming especially for the couple who’s families have agreed on the terms. May they be happily married and love each other for eternity. Very good to learn about marriage practices in Iran, a side I don’t usually get to watch.
A lot of people may think that their system is strict and excessive, outdated even, but I live in a Latin American country where ideas about dating and marriage are the complete opposite, and it's not a good thing. Everyone sleeps with everyone, no one gets married, men abandon their children, cheating is normal but at the same time everyone is jealous of everyone and violence and femicides are frightening common....And all of that affects society and families, of course. A bit of morality would do this country a lot of good.
Exactly, alot of people dont understand, people need to find hobbies instead of sex. We can even look at this in the black communities in America. Children out of wedlock, zero to low marriage rates, cheating etc etc. Black communities being the worse in America, everything ties in. Its more than a blac kid not being able to find a good job which makes their communities the way they are
Men also abandon their children in the middle east and sleep around. In fact men are so promiscuous here, they travel to Dubai or Thailand just for sex. There is no difference in how the men behave compared to there.
This is the reason why us Muslims stopped getting married so young. Men are expected to have a car a house a job that pays well then they have a chance. No way a man gonna have that before 30. Culture problems.
@casper Stingray that changes nothing. in north iraq it's literally like what he said. but you sir, are what i call a brainwashed ignorant. because since you watch some stupid fake news, now you think you know shit about muslims. west always gotta do something to destroy muslim countries. destroying afghanistan in 2001, iraq in 2003, libya in 2011, syria in 2012.
Learn Crap Quick 90% of people that are names Casper have been touched by their uncles at a young age. They tend to come and RUclips and let their frustration out.
@@evilbred974 I consider this to be abit extreme since I personally dont know anyone like this. the group of friends however is the norm. 90% of Iranians are also not religious at all. shawl is a public dess code forced on us by the regime. if you go to persian gatherings, weddings and parties most women wear short tight dresses. not to mention there are Iranians who are Christian, bahai, Jewish and zoroastrian my mother is jewish my father is born Muslim but agnostic. hope that helped.
I’m an American and I think they’re right about western society decaying from the lack of morality. However, I think it is incredibly sad if two people that want to be together and form a family cannot because of differences in the family decisions.
Dont know about shias but in sunni islam, Man dont need his parents approval and father of women who deny the marriage for flimsy reasons can lose his guardianship over women and the judge can work as guardian of women.
pakistani here years back i watched this documentary it was sent to me by a friend and the part at 7 minutes where this educator guy was talking about american girsl have tones of boyfriends in school back then my friend said this seems like a very sexist n archaic view and i remmeber reading the comments on this video years ago ppl said the same that how archaic n sexist n conservative this s#x educator guy is but after watching redpill content creators from the west FRESH N FIT , ROLLO , RICH COOPER , SANDMAN watching western ppl talk about how f3m1n1sm has ruined the west irans conservative approach to marriage dont seem so bad
@Donnie Darko They don't pay it up front. Even though they are supposed to, some places practice the culture of paying it over time. And a lot of people can pay that much money. Girls father seemed rich for a retired teacher!
This video was about conservative families and so there was quite a lot of invalid information in it. Having 20 boyfriends is a lot anywhere in the world as an example.
he said of the marriages done just for love at first sight 93% divorce, listen to his entire sentence. Not sure of true or not but definitely different than what you claimed he said
@@lemortedbrian6070 I must've missed that part. But it still depends what he means love at first sight. If he is comparing "love marriage" vs. arranged, then no. Most American marriages are not arranged. There are hardly anyone who just meet someone "fall in love instantly" and get married right of way. It happens but is not common. So maybe the statistic works there. Although I have heard of it working, even we are skeptical though. Most people date or "court" get to know each other for 2 years before marriage. Their families usually meet. And not everyone has sex before marriage like the stereotype we get. There are a lot of people who are religious and non religious who choose to wait and just spend time getting to know each other in a non physical way.
I, as an American woman, struggle with much that has been shown on this video, especially when it comes to music. So out of respect, I will not say much more on the subject of music and freedom of speech. However, I will give some advice to the young women who are seeking a soulmate. Finances are very important, but the most important is to find a good man who has morals. Sometimes you have to deal with a very difficult personality type, but if he loves you, he has good morals, who won't go and have an affair on you, or hurt you, and he values you as a woman, then you will be in good hands, a rich man who has no values is worthless. There's nothing wrong with the woman being smarter and more educated than her husband. There's nothing wrong with the woman having a degree and her husband does not have a degree. There's something wrong when you choose a man who does not have morals. Although, it is also important that you are able to speak your mind, otherwise, it's a worthless marriage, because a man cannot improve without the words of a woman.
99% of the people who watched this... didn't pay attention. 1. It's not forced marriage. 2. Not everybody gets arranged marriages. 3. If your parents find someone for you, you can always say no. 4. The alternative is nobody gets married, no babies are born and you have yourself a crisis. 5. It's not like this in every muslim country, there are arranged marriages, but not by the government, it's a family matter. 6. Yes, forced marriages do happen, and so does everything else. Doesn't mean it's the norm, or that it's lawful, or endorsed...
my partner is from iran and he had partners to choose from that his family picked. he simply didnt find the right one, he was not in a crisis though because he met me outside of iran.
Still this is no way to live. peace, freedom and love is fundamental human right. 1. If they marry or dress the way they want they get killed often or face violence. 2. They have no freedom express themselves socially, liberal ideas are often being threatened, no freedom to marry with chosen individual, can't hang out in public with friends having drinks. 3. And the last people suppressing love as a moral police. Marry according to parents. love is forbidden. no physical contact before marriage. couples can't hangout in public. This medieval rules are no useful and does more harm than good.
Having drinks? How exactly is it a good idea to have drinks? I'm assuming you are referring to alcohol... What good does alcohol do? They don't get killed, they get imprisoned. It's the law of the land. You aren't free to dress as you want in the west. You can't go around naked now can you? 1. In the west we have limitations to how little clothes we can wear, in Iran those limitations are simply higher. I don't agree with it, but it's no different than here, simply more strict. 2. No freedom to express themselves socially? You know expressing oneself socially and on social media are two different things... Also, they are free to marry who they want, as you saw in this video. They found each other and then had their parents come to an agreement, and then got married... The guy has to provide the female with some... "insurance money" in case they get divorced or if he dies, so that she isn't left to tend for her kids in the gutter. It's the same system as in the west, except in the west the money issue is settled after divorce, but if he dies and doesn't got insurance then it's the wifes loss... Also, it's not like every marriage is arranged, most people find their own mates. They aren't marrying according to their parents, their parents went through the same thing and they had a good enough experience to believe it's ok to help their kids out the same way their parents helped them. People from the outside look in and think they know everything there is to know and start passing judgement... Iran isn't nearly an ideal place to live, but its not nearly as bad a place as people make it out to be.
Keep in mind Iran is under huge sanctions by US therefore it isn't easy getting a job. US are attackimg innocent people with their sanctions. Then wonder my lot of the world hates them.
Iran.....A truly incredible country, possessing the most beautiful & rich history, culture & inhabitants. This documentary is so interesting, so eye opening, so intriguing, but also, a wee bit sad to witness. Whilst the traditional & cultural aspect of Iran is so unique, special & historically long standing, the times are slowly changing, but i do hope, that Western culture won't take over Iranian culture too much. It's critical to retain as much of one's culture & long standing traditions as much as possible, albeit, a wee bit of Western culture sprinkled in, is ok too. I see it like this.....If you take away too much of Iranian culture, then it's no longer the Iran we all know, appreciate & even love. Once certain traditions are dismantled or gone, it's almost impossible, to reverse it back once again. It's so hard to find that middle ground, the so called, balance. Zohre & Ali are such a sweet & beautiful couple, as many young Iranian couples are. I'm so happy that they got married & i can only wish them all the happiness in the world & a big, bright future. I also hope & pray, that since Covid started, that all those we've seen in this documentary, are still safe & well. Thank you for sharing this documentary with us & my best wishes to all.

Saying 93% of relationships lead to divorce isn't stating the divorce rate of the country. He is only stating that as a probability not as a statistic.
He said "93% divorce rate by love at first sight" Listen to it properly. Either way, America still has one of the highest divorce rates in the world, nothing to be proud of.
@Aria Davis that's exactly my point, people get divorced because they are "unhappy in the marriage" Why get married in the first place to divorce later? If you are unhappy try going to a counsellor or a couple therapy and work it out, that's why divorce rates are so high in the US. Unless you are being molested, then it's fine to divorce. I don't know why people randomly get married and then divorce because "iT doEsN't seEm tO woRk oUt anYmOrE"
@Aria Davis I'm sorry hun but my country is the second most populous country in the world and still has one of the lowest divorce rates in the world. I guess it all depends on morals and values. People in the US don't care for that, they marry how many ever time they want, that's probably why it has one of the highest divorce rates.
thanks for covering such a silent but crucial topic from religious perspective in Iranian community and letting us know more about the Iranian marriage norms and cultures. the host was extra conscious about the sensitivity of the subject, that was a good point too.
I am Iranian, and I born and grew up it Iran. And many parts of the documantry is also for me new and far from mz life. I do not mean it is fake or lie, but honestly we are such a wide range of people that I can only see this marriage stuff on the documentry. Our social group never go through these steps, and we do different way.
True but in this instance, her life is probably more restricted and so if he ever left her, that would be the cost of leaving her so she can be taken care of.
@@dharmeshmakwana1164 Iran has severe gender inequality and in their society, they have this thing to help protect her. Arguing 'what if she leaves him' is such an incredibly stupid question since this isn't some Western country or India where women have the same rights as men. What is your problem with this simple protection that the family want to give their daughters in a society of inequality? Given your name, I'm assuming you're Indian. Do you have issues with the dowry system in India where the women have to pay men to get married to them? How backwards is that??
@@dharmeshmakwana1164 Absolutely, it is a social evil but you are wrong that 90-95% think it is wrong. If that were the case, there wouldn't be dowry but there IS! And men and their families still demand dowry.

I live in Tehran and got married at the age of 21 and now I am 38 years old. And I have 2 beautiful daughters. You can get married when you feel responsible and become a man of life, but you must promise to be the best wife and never betray your spouse.
@tahat8197 my experience in the uk, of muslim women in the work place is a very interesting version of Islam. I bet if they was in the middle east, it would not be the same. That dna ancestors Web sight has wound some Asian men realising they not the daddy's.😅

As an Iranian woman, I can say this documentary wasn't accurate, these kinds of marriages are too traditional and don't happen a lot, or at least I can say it's rare especially in younger & up to date generation at all.
@@MrMrpaulo2012 the reason why the divorce rates are lower with arranged marriages is because the cultures which they take place in find divorce taboo. divorce isn't a bad thing, it's the ending of a bad marriage; people don't get a divorce for fun.
@@MrMrpaulo2012 it's very foolish to support arranged marriages as it takes away basic human rights of freedom and choice. We do not have arranged marriages in the west as we are more civilised and do not wish to live in the 5th century. Many arranged marriages end up love less and not successful but divorce is taboo. Marriage has only ever been about procreation. Having something forced on people is against human rights, end of.
@@mehraneh1554 The rate of divorce is increasing even for arranged marriage in my country. In the past couples felt a great religious commitment after vows and stayed together long life, even though there were sort of problems and disagreements between them, but these days couples have already lost their stamina and have less religious commitments which end up to divorce. Too frustrating and if they have children it would certainly bring about a heart breaking impact on their children as well and their parents would ruin their future, by falling apart or getting divorced.
I (a woman) have been to Iran twice on business about 10 years ago (from here in the UK). It was interesting to see this programme and I am glad that here in the UK that those of my children (we are Christian) married before having children. In the latest English census we find for the first time presumably for about 1500 years just over half of people are having children without ever marrying. It is a big change. I really don't think 93% of US marriages fail or that most people have relationships intimately with 20 people before marriage. as said on the film Some might have that many, but not all.
vast majority of people barely have 2 or 3 partners in highschool, most have none afaik, he was absolutely exaggerating how promiscuous children are lol
I'm infuriated by the so-called professor claiming the dating in the US is the reason to the nation's decline. The motive for such rhetorics are ALWAYS a wish to control women.
Yea, and whenever they want to control women they hide behind their stupid ass religion and say "I'm not a misogynist, I just want to uphold God's laws!"
This is a very well documented video; however, I just wanted to clarify that what was shown in the video mainly occurs between stricter families. I visited Iran last summer and there's definitely two sides to this whole dating scene. I witnessed families that were strict and would not freely allow their kids to marry whomever they love. But I also witnessed families that were more liberal and modern who were not opposed to their children marrying for love as long as the families meet. I would have loved if they had shown both sides in the video so people around the world get to see every aspect of it.
I felt they did, they showed a group of very liberal young people who said they didn't come from strict families. I think they were trying to cover all bases.
That's true but what I meant was it would have been nice to see them talk about it a tad bit more in terms of their experiences dating for love in a country where it's not as common
Dariush Ashkani, Because liberalism is by definition modern and open to change, conservatism is stagnant and opposed to change and progress. Read a dictionary.

I was welcomed like a prince there and invited almost by everyone I met,in restaurants random people I didn't know wanted to pay my bill and even the restaurant owner didn't want to charge me as he was happy that I visited his place but ofcourse I paid.No one ever spoke about religion or Hate towards anyone, they were western orientated and are very smart people and highly educated,of course I knew all these but had to see it for myself and was sure that since they get so much bad advertisnt against them that it is exactly the opposite of what the western poison does to countries that doesn't abide by their rules. Another point I would like to add is that I traveled quite a lot(over 50 countries)even in the middle east where alcohol and clubbing is allowed but I actually felt more free and relaxed in IRAN than in those ME COUNTRIES. Also my country has opened a viza free regime to IRANIAN citizens and many of them are visiting here and that make me so happy to see them that I would walk up to them and start a conversation cause as I said they treated me soo good that I'll never forget that and it's not only me they treat good but any tourist that visits gets the same hospitality regardless of their religion or nationality, US citizens included, thank u IRAN from one SERBIAN guy.
sure media exaggerate things, but most of the time they have some truth in them. as for serbia a lot of people i know are kind and good but the state still dreams and has nostalgjia of the war and never accepted it atrocities
"serbians are one of the most welcoming and nicest people anyone will come across" - Yeah, they only sold Romanians back to their government back in its communist days (to the end of '89) for salt, and gasoline. Those were real refugees, many with families, who risked their lives to get across and when handed back some ended up dead while others serving prison sentences, etc. And there were so many... So please. I'm not generalizing at all by saying all Serbs are bad, because that would be a lie, but I am recounting real, recent side of history that nonetheless must be known.

But, I see athiests and liberals every where these days, look at the promiscuity(I'm not surprised by the no. of young people wanting to do porn for money and be like it's no big deal)especially in the US ( you may not be like that, but they simply didn't get that stereotype, a lot of others do). They treat sex as a need, and act as if they die if they won't have it. Well, but if mind is controlled, you can focus on more important things than that.
"10 boyfriends in high school and another 10 in college??" 😂😂😂 At 30 years old I have enough trouble trying to find a man I can tolerate for more than 20 minutes. I didn't even have my first boyfriend until after I got my degree. But dating 20 men over my lifetime?? FOR FREE?? I would go criminally insane.
It’s not ur fault, the society thought you immorality from young age. Try compromise any time each there aren’t perfect person &,most importantly stop sinner other word create commitment with lord. You will happiness!!
the reporter is professtional, irani people looks kind and friendly :) and i want to say that every mama in different country enjoy being a match maker, especially in Asia maybe? 🤣
I think your documentary was more valuable if you didn't ask for an official translator from that organization. and you did it as an individual. (I understand that you wanted to do it in a legal way) I'm an Iranian and I didn't even know such dating website existed, and I never met anyone marry in that way. Who wants to find a match for his daughter on amazon?!!! (girls are really important for us, girls are free to find their spouse, family also can introduce someone but the choice is her) I wish saba finds the romance that she is looking for, and her mom sees her in the bride's dress sooner. Ali and Zohre are a really nice couple. I wish them the bests. But your case study was also a very special case, not all Iranians are as religious as them. The image that you got from the procedure of marriage is exactly as you saw, though. I also noticed that so many western people are triggered by the sentence of that lecturer. don’t get mad on it, he said it intentionally(he knew that you are the audience of this video, that's why I said this documentary is not valuable that much). Neither west nor east is declining. No one knows what is the best, we keep trying to improve it. We can learn faster if we listen back to each other, instead of insisting that I am right and you are wrong. By the way, thanks for your interest in Iranian’s culture, you are welcome to travel here and experience everything by yourself, Iran is a really affordable country to travel, and there are so many things that worth to go on a trip for it.
You write well and interesting. 'No one knows what is best', so true. I think as an Englishman Iran is probably off the map for me, sadly. But it is fascinating and nice to see the many smiling faces of Iran in YT videos. Thank you for your insight.
Thanks for clarifying that. I've never been to Iran, but after watching the video I was wondering how wide spread this would be, as many times these type of "western documentaries" exaggerate the differences and don't show the other side of the coin - which may actually be more representative of a given culture. As such, I view this just as another entertainment TV program for western people, rather than a true portrait of today's general characteristics of Iranians.
@Darren Richardson Trust me it's not that easy. One example is YT itself. How many times do you think I find a report like this in YT? 3 out 10. Unfortunately western platforms have somehow been saturated by such representations that finding the real deal has become a little difficult and time consuming.
@Darren Richardson There are so many types of propaganda about everything. It's all political. You need to see from both the sides. You can't just take one side and call it propaganda. You need to see the other side and see if what the other side says is true or not too. Like how west is represented without any morals and Islamic is treated as cruel and presented in very bad light.

Men in iran better move to Pakistan or India lol, here if someone is "wella" jobless. Parents urge him to get married. We desi think marriage is the ultimate solution for all of our problems lol
There was a misunderstanding for non Iranian who watched this video, The gold coins they were talking about before the couple's marriage, is not being paid at all, It's the only power the wife will have in a case one day she wants to divorce her husband, based on Islamic law in Iran, women do not have any power to divorce their husband, it belongs solely to husbands' powers, Mehriah_The gold coins_ are the power what the wife uses mostly as a threat if she wants to divorce, to get her husband to accept the divorce, if he doesn't accept it , she asks the husband to pay it and law in this matter is in wives' side and as more the coins are as stronger is the power.
@Ali El Sibai Dear Ali it is true in some part but in reality it dose not work this way, First of all proof of abuse in court in women favor is something near to impossible, even when you do have the paper from legal doctors I heard judges saying you are still alive and he provide for you and.. About the agreement, when it came to time for divorce despite the agreement the judge asks the wives to bring another paper, not the marriage certificate which is signed with the conditions in it, from the husband to let the wife to divorce. Even those very little powers, are just on paper and when someone needs to use them they see the ugly reality of it, those are bunch of useless laws. Everything is in favor of husband, unless the person has a political issue with IRI then the wife can get her divorce!
I am Iranian it is not 100 percent just like that in Iran. Maybe 10 percent of people are getting married like this. The most majority of youngsters in Iran are boyfriend and girlfriend then they decide whether they get married or not.

Its more than a blac kid not being able to find a good job which makes their communities the way they are
Katie Frank this is why most of us are turning to Islam ❤
daniella castillo bejarano really??
Daniella, God has blessed you with the power to discover the Truth
Men also abandon their children in the middle east and sleep around. In fact men are so promiscuous here, they travel to Dubai or Thailand just for sex. There is no difference in how the men behave compared to there.
This is the reason why us Muslims stopped getting married so young. Men are expected to have a car a house a job that pays well then they have a chance. No way a man gonna have that before 30. Culture problems.

divorce leave that you don't have marriages now 😂
he said of the marriages done just for love at first sight 93% divorce, listen to his entire sentence.
@@falahati but i have 30 ex girlfriend from my highscholl till now
I, as an American woman, struggle with much that has been shown on this video, especially when it comes to music.
Ali and Zohre really love each other. I’m glad their families worked it out!

There isn’t exactly a crisis if no babies are born. We are over populated.
my partner is from iran and he had partners to choose from that his family picked. he simply didnt find the right one, he was not in a crisis though because he met me outside of iran.
The crisis would be in 30-60 years in that particular country, when they got too many old people that can't work and not enough young working people.
I kind of don't blame Zohre's parents for playing hardball. If my daughter brought home a guy with no job, I wouldn't be too thrilled either.
high rate of underemployment in Iran makes finding jobs hard specially in art field like this boy

@Aria Davis that's exactly my point, people get divorced because they are "unhappy in the marriage"
Why get married in the first place to divorce later?
@Aria Davis molest includes abuse and cheating

@@MrMrpaulo2012 You may think it 's weird, but in my opinion, we're getting married to get a divorce one day.

America are number 1 for STDs, single mothers and abortions so I think those stats are right.

That's true but what I meant was it would have been nice to see them talk about it a tad bit more in terms of their experiences dating for love in a country where it's not as common
rmadridista ah well but their translator works for the government, so if they talk to freely they might be in trouble
Why do you have to equate modern with liberal?
Dariush Ashkani, Because liberalism is by definition modern and open to change, conservatism is stagnant and opposed to change and progress. Read a dictionary.

It's really hard for me to believe how closely scoped these affairs are taken by families. I've seen this when I met my friend who lives in Finland but has family heritage from Middle-East, that it felt like I was dating his family instead of him. It was pleasant to get to know his family indeed, but it really turned south when it came to realization my friend had dealt with physical trauma from family and previous abuse from ex-girlfriend. I really wanted to help, but our meetings was cut short due disagreements.
I love Iran and it's people,I'll have to say that since I visited Iran in 2004 I have been going there every year till date, didn't know what to expect at beginning but since I come from Serbia and know that the west propaganda and media have made my country look so bad and evil and racist while it's completely the opposite and serbians are one of the most welcoming and nicest people anyone will come across I was sure that Iranians are the same and God was I right.
Also my country has opened a viza free regime to IRANIAN citizens and many of them are visiting here and that make me so happy to see them that I would walk up to them and start a conversation cause as I said they treated me soo good that I'll never forget that and it's not only me they treat good but any tourist that visits gets the same hospitality regardless of their religion or nationality, US citizens included, thank u IRAN from one SERBIAN guy.
milos medic yeah right, serbians are miserable never smile and always complain 😂
sure media exaggerate things, but most of the time they have some truth in them.
as for serbia a lot of people i know are kind and good but the state still dreams and has nostalgjia of the war and never accepted it atrocities
So please.

2) Cultures often come up with different solutions - for the same old problems. (Sometimes it may seem easy to see what solution is better - and sometimes it’s not.)
Knife and fork or Chopsticks?
Just be sure to have an adventurous life - no matter what solution you pick!

but here in comments people talk about your 60% people dating and having pre marital physical affairs before marraige
And here people talk you half people have date and have pre merital relations
As in Iranian I can say this is not what happens in Iran and it is related to a small group which are related to the government so don't say this is happening in Iran!
Iran looks much liberal compare to Saudi. I have lived in Saudi for 5 years.I never seen boys and girls mingling like this in Saudi
Dude even if someone wanted to follow a different religion, that's not possible. So dumb. But then again thats the best chance to purge religion from our lives
This is really stressful for me to even watch. Is this liberal? I real feel bad for all these people.
@@mukunda4021 whatever it is , it's there culture don't march in there storing democracy and colonism
@@aliescobar9615 I didn't get you. What do you mean?
@@mukunda4021 it's stressful for you to watch and u feel it's not liberal, that's what I perceived from your comment, u sound some one from the west ???
That Sabba girl is actually pretty imo, kind of happy to see that she may possibly have a choice in who she marries instead of forced arranged marriage zz
I think in Western world choosing a spouse for your kid would be considered "babying your adult child", right??
We dont have forced marriage in Iran.
Rain X She's too old
I don’t think you understand the meaning of ‘force’. She has choice- no one was forcing her to marry a man she didn’t know.
after 5 nose jobs
Men in iran better move to Pakistan or India lol, here if someone is "wella" jobless. Parents urge him to get married. We desi think marriage is the ultimate solution for all of our problems lol
We have too much freedom belive me
You just shoud see our university!

This luxury is only for women/girls though
Bro i was also thinking that.In this subcontinent it's so easy to get married.
There was a misunderstanding for non Iranian who watched this video, The gold coins they were talking about before the couple's marriage, is not being paid at all, It's the only power the wife will have in a case one day she wants to divorce her husband, based on Islamic law in Iran, women do not have any power to divorce their husband, it belongs solely to husbands' powers, Mehriah_The gold coins_ are the power what the wife uses mostly as a threat if she wants to divorce, to get her husband to accept the divorce, if he doesn't accept it , she asks the husband to pay it and law in this matter is in wives' side and as more the coins are as stronger is the power.
that explains a lot! thank you
women are not allow to divorce? that's unbelievable.
@@qizhang5129 the can divorce the husband but they have to pay back the mahr expect some cases they dont pay it back
@Ali El Sibai Dear Ali it is true in some part but in reality it dose not work this way, First of all proof of abuse in court in women favor is something near to impossible, even when you do have the paper from legal doctors I heard judges saying you are still alive and he provide for you and..
Thanks for clarifying. That's really confusing for us westerners.
As an Iranian, I would like to inform you that this is only a VERY VERY SMALL part of the population. Not the majority.
this video is very innocent, showing very innocent clean people but the truth that it is not majority...maybe 5%
@Grandmaster that's not what I'm talking about
Religous Iranians are probably 30% of Iran.
Fake troll
ikr? because Iranians were secular...... it is the majority in other muslim countries?
what s great documentary! very happy couple at end of the documentary
The correspondent is really wonderful and lovely.
I loved her.
Shes Irish were amazing people
Iranians are the most cultured people .. one of the great civilizations. I wish to visit Iran once. Love from India.
Better you visit israell😂
Yes love Iran from Pakistan
I am Iranian it is not 100 percent just like that in Iran. Maybe 10 percent of people are getting married like this. The most majority of youngsters in Iran are boyfriend and girlfriend then they decide whether they get married or not.

Lots of love and best wishes for Ali and Zahre. God bless you all
This was an excellent report and the reporter was calm and collective at all times. I liked the way the reporter made all the people she spoke to feel very comfortable. Ali and Zohre were such a great couple really in love. I myself was anxious to learn the outcome of their parents deciding on whether they would marry or not. The suspense was overwhelming but, I was so relieved that they married a few days later. What a nice ending. Thanks to this wonderful reporter for such an in sight about Iranian culture. I respect the Iranian and their traditional ways as they’ve been doing it forever. One day I’d like to experience Iranian hospitality as they look to be wonderful respectful people. Thanks for this wonderful report.
"I've proposed 3 times and the family always found something wrong with me"
That sounds like a you problem lmao
He meant, not a problem particularly in him,but about his wealth and other stuff such as a house or a car,we are in a severe economical situations,so the families are kinda worried,if their daughter will be fine if she's married someone without any wealth,it's all fucked up ik,n it's all about the money
Would you condemn yourself because of the opinion of two families?
@@MrFootballfu ofc not,I'm marrying Iranian and I'm marrying a girl from Indonesia,n I would stand for her and solve any kind of confliction with logic between two families
I was present at arranged marriage efforts in another country, (not this religion) where the family and girl were rejecting offers just to bolster the girls reputation that they were not just going to accept the first offer for their daughter
They were just using some of the men for this, (not this religion) very cruel
@@MrFootballfu yeah I've heard that stuff,in some places there's even some people that pay money for suitors😂
Zohra an illustrator, Ali a filmmaker. My partner and I have the exact same "job descriptions" but they're both professions where you can't be sure you'll be financially stable. I totally understand them.
Very interesting reporting. I enjoyed learning about the Iranian culture. Very respectful and great values with relationships, we could learn a lot from them as well.
Ali and Zohre..I wish you all the very best and lots of love for your future..it was so fascinating to see you guys eventually getting married to each other..God bless you..love from India 🇮🇳
