I'm going to buy some because I understand the benefit of fitting sitting in the wanted position but other than that PTFE tape will always be in my bag, would cost a bloody fortune to use this blue stuff every day, how many fittings would that wee bottle do and what's it's price?
PTFE will always have its place!! Rapid Blue in a 50ml bottle is £5.60+Vat and really only needs a tiny amount so a bottle will last a long time 🙂 When NOT to use it... on threads that have already had water through them. That has be PTFE Tape 🙂
Good stuff but stains quick especially if on white rads. Nightmare to get off.
Definitely not to be spilled on carpet. Just needs a tiny amount on 1st and third thread to seal.
